We did not have appointments either time. We simply walked in and asked for a banker. In both cases, we were greeted right away and were seen within five minutes. Not all branches can do medallion guarantees, but this branch can. They have been consistently good in all of our visits.

This is a smallish branch located in the northwest corner of the largish Plaza del Prado strip mall…read morewhich also houses a Jewel, Blufish Sushi, and Einstein Bagels amongst other businesses. It doesn't look like a typical Chase branch and was probably a converted property but they do have drive-thru ATM lanes. The parking lot is tight and congested, and it's not a favorite Chase branch for me to visit.

Used to be a nice independent neighborhood bank, where the employees would go out of their way to…read morehelp a customer out. Then WinTrust bought them and (either by coincidence or causality), they went way down hill. I mean, they're not just at the bottom of the hill, they're in the river at the bottom of the valley next to the hill, canoeing. I don't know whether to start by describing the racial slurs that some customers throw around in the lobby at employees, or the employees that lie with a straight face to customers. Then there is the loan officer who takes a week or two in order to return a phone call without having any kind of answer to your question, and stonewalls about everything, assuming they even know what they're talking about (which may not be the case, don't take their expertise for granted). Did I mention the stonewalling alternates with f-bomb laden tirades at how much of a "pain in the ass it is to have to speak with customers" to begin with? Do yourself a huge favor and use a bank without the delusion of grandeur, and where there's some small semblance of professionalism. I don't know which bank that might be, but I do know it's not this one.

I recently opened a joint checking account here because of a pretty sweet deal through my employer,…read morewhich is a corporate client of the bank. Everything is fine with the account and the actual banking services, but I've noticed two points worth sharing: On the good side, service is absolutely fantastic at this bank. Every single person with whom I have dealt basically falls all over themselves to assist me, and it doesn't even seem faked. Apparently they either hire or train (or both) for great customer service. This is a major asset when a customer is doing something new and may need some hand-holding. On the bad side, the ATMs are like something out of the Dark Ages. I have been spoiled by a decade of using Chase ATMs, I suppose. First, there are far, far fewer 5/3 ATMs than Chase (I can't comment on the availability of other banks'). Secondly, the design and screen interface seem so dim and clunky and just generally not modern and user-friendly, sort of like an old Apple IIe. Thirdly, Fifth Thirds ATMs still require deposit envelopes! How primeval. And of course the first time that I went to this location to make a deposit, they didn't have any envelopes. A few days later I tracked down another 5/3 branch more or less on my commute home (but not really) and stocked up on envelopes. A major pain in the ass just to deposit a single check.

Get your money out of this bank ASAP!!!…read more If I could give negative stars I would. Do not trust this bank. They take good checks, reject them, misplac them, then take the money out of your account and do not even bother to notify you, then lie and try to balme their incompetence on the other bank. I do not know if they are trying to scam patrons, its just inexcusable incompetence, bad equipment, bad management or what. Regardless, do not depend on this business to handle your money. Update: what I was told after several hours and the last few days of trying to resolve an issue is that they had a system wide issue causing good checks to be rejected with a "bad image" or "duplicate check" error. What have they done about it? This branch denies it and blames it on : -inexperienced staff. -The check having a "stop payment" placed on it (blaming the person who wrote the check). -they tried to claim that the FDIC / FED rejected the checks. Then they deduct the money from your account, tell you to go get a new check and ultimately just continue to inconvenience the victims of their error. It is absolutely inexcusable what they are doing. I have never had to deal with a bigger liar than the manager Antonio. Priscilla is the other manager and she is beyond unreliable. She swore up and down on the phone that she would get to the bottom of this issue but when I visited the bank - she was MIA. Honestly, with all the conflicting information I have heard from multiple representatives I seems to suggest that they have had some major data breach and are trying to keep it quiet. Not surprising though since they apparently only communicate through Microsoft Teams... which is not secure enough platform for healthcare but apparently Credit Union 1 thinks it is secure enough for your private data. If they had been honest from the beginning, and assured us that they are fixing the issue- that would be totally different. Things happen but the lies and subterfuge is absolutely deplorable. Dont trust your money with people much less a bank who is clearly lying to you. They are so incompetent they can not even get their story straight.
