Avoid this business:…read more We tried to buy a whole hog from these guys last year. They were happy to take our deposit, but after that we never heard from them again. We've been trying weekly to call and email, and have had no response. I'm not sure if they are actually trying to scam us, or if they are just terrible at customer service, either way if you don't want to get ripped off I'd avoid them.

We paid for a half of a cow and lamb from them. After the cow was taken to the butcher, Bobby…read morecalled us and told us how much it was (after the cow was weighed) and we paid him the cost of the beef as well as the full price of the lamb. He informed us he would deliver the lamb to the butcher at a later date. As of this time, we still haven't heard back from him regarding the lamb we purchased from him. We've emailed and called him several times. My husband got ahold of him once and he said he was in the car and would check his records in his office and get back to us. We still haven't heard anything back and have requested a refund. At this time, he's not returning our calls and emails. We've ordered half a cow from other ranchers and butchers in the past and have never experienced this before. We didn't get that much beef from him which leads us to wonder about his questionable farming practices. In the beginning, he would always call us promptly and answer our questions and then as soon as he got our money, we have struggled to get ahold of him and get our lamb (now all we want is a refund). If you see the other review listed here, you'll see that this seems like a common occurrence with them.
