I shared that the theme for our party was the Blues Brothers and that I had a matchbox car, a replica of the Bluesmobile from the movie, to use as the cake topper. Her ideas to expand on this theme were spot on! We arranged for the cake to be delivered to our hotel on the day of the party which was very convenient. First, I just want to throw out there that these divas are first class decorators. My cake looked EXACTLY like the inspiration I sent them, so let's get that straight. They made the cake exactly how I we discussed it looking. I was a little surprised when I spoke to them that they didn't seem interested in taking any artistic liberties with it. I kept telling them that I didn't want it to look exactly like the inspiration photo and I wanted them to have a little bit of fun with it or make it look a little bit unique and they asked me if I wanted to put something into ChatGPT to give them an idea of what I was thinking, but I get that they were probably just trying to deliver exactly what I had envisioned and I appreciate that. I was very happy with how my cake looked at the end of the day. My issue comes in with the flavor. I got samples of a few of their cake flavors to try, and I think their cake flavors were pretty good, but some of them were not quite as strong as others. I ended up going with their champagne and berries flavor with a strawberry jam between the layers when we tried the sample of this flavor it was absolutely delicious and really unique, and the champagne was strong, but not overpowering in the actual cake itself. I found that it just tasted like a strawberry pop tart. The champagne flavor was much less present and that was really disappointing for me. My other issue was with pick up. My friend arrived to pick up the cake and it wasn't ready until half an hour after the time when he was supposed to pick it up. He got there a little bit early, so this left him waiting there for quite a while. I'm glad that all the work they were doing was fresh so that the cake wouldn't be getting stale, but it was a slight annoyance since the pick up was on the day of the party and he was out for longer than we had anticipated. I think that if your priority is visuals, the sugar divas have got you absolutely covered, but I would caution that their sample differed from the final product, so if flavor is your top priority, this might not be the spot for you. I don't know that I would use them again, considering how much I paid for the cake and how the flavor turned out.

Most bakeries are not open on Sundays and I was actually going to pick Publix for a simple one. After not giving up, I found this bakery on Yelp. I contacted them and spoke with the owner Leia directly. Not only did she answer every question I may had, she exceeded all expectations and more. There were a few options that were in mind and finally narrowed it down to one 6" round cake with 24 cupcakes. I showed her pictures what I was aiming for and she recommended flavors that went well together when I was having a hard time picking just one. Let me tell you that the flavor choices are plentiful as found on the website and I was trusting her to do the best since I wasn't going to be in the area before hand to taste samples of each flavor that was available. The 6" cake had an almond flavor with buttercream frosting and half of the cupcakes had vanilla flavor with raspberry frosting and the other half had marble flavor with cookies and cream frosting. Leia delivered and set everything up. It was presented beautifully on the cake stand that was included and she even helped with some of the decorating of the shower. It was such a nice gesture to help without asking! There's a Yelp check-in offer of 20% off a purchase on the site that she said that wasn't valid for over a year and she still honored it on the purchase for me when I mentioned it. I'm still in awe of how the cake turned out and everyone complimented on how amazing the cake and cupcakes looked and tasted. The mom-to-be was in heaven over it and it was deliciously perfect!
