Disappointing Experience with Rude Owner I recently had a regrettable encounter while shopping for a retractable awning at Buzzman Retractable Awning . Unfortunately, my experience was marred by the unprofessional behavior of Barry Gorin , the owner. Despite my attempts to ask questions and seek guidance regarding the product , his responses were bordered on outright rudeness. It was evident that he was more interested in making a quick sale rather than providing genuine assistance to a customer. The entire experience left a sour taste in my mouth, and I cannot in good conscience recommend Buzzman Retractable Awnings to anyone seeking a retractable awning . In conclusion, I urge Barry Gorin to reevaluate its customer service standards and product offerings to ensure that future customers are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve. **UPDATE** There you go folks, read for yourself, this guy is not well. And they delete all of their negative comments from Facebook and then block you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, this guy is not well! I called for an estimate. When he texted me back I asked if he can please stop by my house on a Saturday. He told me they don't work on weekends, but any company who would provide a quote on a weekend is not "professional". I respectfully told him that was absurd...and Merry Christmas. He then told me I was "too dumb to do my due diligence" and I was probably "better off with another junky company", and then wished me a "Happy f'in holiday". Just INSANE! First the positives: the product appears very well designed, better and sturdier than the competition. I'm genuinely impressed. Now the not so positives: It took two weeks for us to evaluate Buzzman's proposal and ask follow up questions to trigger an angry outburst in the form of several endless texts which I didn't care to read, but skimming through, were filled with all caps, emojis, and silly name calling. Amusingly, while my wife Helena was posting last night her review here on Yelp, Mr. Barry was threatening us that he was going to "eviscerate" her publicly for all to see. Not exactly what I consider an effective sales tactic. If you are the type of not asking any questions and obediently follow instructions to read websites instead, then Buzzman Awning may be a good option- subject, I guess, of you also being an obedient user not daring to call if there are any problems once the awning is installed. If you dare to deviate, be ready for an emotional ranting of grievances complete with insults and silly name calling, and eventually being "fired" as a prospective client as we were. Just look at the way he copes with bad reviews, probably much in line with the way he will address my feedback. His answers speak volumes of how angry he seems to be. I hope he learns to manage his emotions because his product is really good. read more

I would Never recommend Buzzman Awnings. First of all, seemed very friendly and accommodating. Appeared to know all about awnings. should have been suspicious when Barry Goren, owner " knocked" all his competition. Tried to impress about how great and reliable Buzzman was . I had nothing but problems after final payment. Barry became very difficult to deal with issues with his awning. Told me the problems were in my new house. Refused to come back to address issues with my awning. I was forced to call another awning company that solved my issues that Buzzman created. This cost me extra money. NEVER, would I recommend Buzzman Awning. Barry yelled at me on the phone and became extremely nasty! Stay away from Buzzman!!!!! read more

Barry was upfront with scheduling as everything is a little slower these days so we knew what to anticipate. Paul just left my house.... I am beside myself. Not only did I wait to weeks for this appointment and was excited to get an awning. This guy was out right rude condescending and down right ignorant when he got to my house. I was asking some questions about installation, I myself am a general contractor Serving palm each county and others since 2001 and was excited to get an awning like my neighbors. First he was late 20 minutes... i didn't say anything... then he asked what i wanted and explained that it be a fit for my area (that's fine) after we talked about electric... I would assume that a guy who sells electric awnings would have a guy ... instead he told me well... your a contractor you get an electrician and got smug and ignorant So i asked him to leave my property. I would say well everyone has a bad day... but i tried to call him last year too... and never got him to respond...... I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY .... read more

It's not silly we need two awnings you can only offer one. The awning selection and ordering process was enjoyable - the actual awning is beautiful. The problem was the installation. While installing the brackets for the retractable awning, an additional 49 holes were drilled into the side of my home and not filled. When I contacted the company, it took more than a week to send someone out to fill the holes, This was after i was accused of putting the holes in the side of my house myself. Before the service technician left, he informed me that i would need to get on a ladder and use a coarse brush to smooth the spackle myself before I could paint it match my walls. The fill job was poorly done. I again contacted the representative to be told that this was my issue and that I should have contacted a less quality oriented company. Not sure that I understand why I would go with a less quality contractor when I spent over $7,000 to get this awning manufactured and installed. The text messages regarding this situation were unprofessional and lacking any customer concern and I was basically told to "enjoy my awning". What could have been the start of a great customer relationship based on the beauty of the product has turned into a more than dissatisfied customer. I can not recommend this installer because of the lack of customer service and professionalism. read more

Owner is rude and does not care about customers after making the sale. I recommend to use another company. Im taking time out of my Father's Day to expose a terrible company and even worse owner. I'm hoping this post on Fathers Day reaches other fathers that are considering to use Buzzman Awnings. As they say "forewarned is forewarned". Thankful I decided to cancel my order, I am not a customer of Buzzman Awnings. If the owner does not know who I am, then he obvious makes it a point to be rude to many potential customers. Unfortunately, one of my neighbors went through with his purchase that he deeply regrets. Buzzman awning presents it self as a reputable company and honest company. After doing my due diligence I found otherwise. Upon me notifying Buzzman that I did want to proceed with his company, Buzzman choose to be condescending, patronizing and outright rude. I hope this message reaches other home owners that are looking for the truth about Buzzman Awnings.
