I had ordered leis for my spouse's memorial and was contacted by Dan (owner) about the process (shipping to LA) and when to expect the delivery through FedEx. Unfortunately FedEx was unable to complete the delivery as stated and the leis were not delivered until 2 days after the memorial. Throughout this period Dan was in contact with me expressing his disappointment that the leis were not delivered on time and I told him that the leis had perished by the time they were delivered. He (Dan) went above and beyond in helping to file a claim for me and negotiating with FedEx after the initial claim was denied. His actions would lead to a full refund with his company paying out the difference. I cannot thank Dan and his company enough for all the Aloha and effort in resolving this matter. I would wholeheartedly order leis from them again as the customer care and service is world class. Would mark zero if I could. This company is apparently same company as Shaka Lei. When you order from Shaka Lei it comes in this company's box - feels scammy. The lei they sent was terrible, wilting, petals falling off, and molding in the middles and was tied with an ugly plastic ribbon, I've never seen that on a lei. I would never buy from this place again. I ordered two graduation leis, and when they came in, some parts were in pieces, torn apart! Whoever I spoke to told me that I would need to deal it with FedEx, cause it is a FedEx issue. So apparently it is my responsibility to file a claim against FedEx. My package was delayed by 5 days and arrived completely destroyed and they're refusing to refund me and hiding behind their Terms of Service. They said they would take up the issue with FedEx and it was up to FedEx to determine if I would get a refund within 4-6 weeks. I requested again a refund as my relationship was with the shop and not with FedEx to which they declined. I ended up having to file a chargeback to receive a refund, which my Credit Card company ruled very quickly in my favor. Following that, the company emailed me telling me I should reconsider this review. He was very apologetic. I ordered the double blue orchid lei, but the Govt in whatever country destroyed their flowers. I ordered a lei and they called me at 10 pm the next day saying they did not have what I ordered. I asked for a substitution and they didn't have anything similar. I asked to cancel my order and they said they would be charging me a 10% cancellation fee to cover their credit card processing fee, which is much lower than 10%. I can understand if I canceled because I changed my mind but I don't agree with paying a fee when they are the ones who cannot fill my order. Bad business! read more

Would give 10 stars if we could. This is a long overdue review for 3 orders placed in the last 8 months, shipped to Los Angeles. The first time was for my father-in-law's birthday. The second (sadly) for his funeral and the third for two graduations. We ordered their standard leis, their specialty leis and bulk packs of their orchid leis for the funeral. Each order shipped (and arrived) extremely fast (the first and second orders within 24-48hrs). There's no florist in California, that we've found, who can turn out leis like these at the right quality. Shipping is worth it and the leis arrived overnight, FRESH and packed perfectly, not a single bruise on the tuberose. We chilled everything and they lasted 2 more days until the funeral. Call them if you need a fast turnaround or have questions. If they don't pick up, they may be in the warehouse. Dan called us personally and talked us through alternatives if a type of lei wasn't available. He couldn't have been nicer, quicker, more kind or professional. The funeral situation was very tough and we wanted the leis to be just right for our relatives coming in from Hawaii. My in-law's owned one of the original lei stands in Hawaii, so the review comes from a place of admiration and knowledge of how much work it takes to get these right. A childhood friend past away, and I was asked to do her lei and haku lei for her to wear in her casket during the funeral service. It was an honor for me to do her farewell lei and haku. I'm from California and I called these good folks and spoke with Dan. He was very helpful in assisting me to pick out a nice full haku with a lei to match. I decided on the purple haku with the babies breath and fern. I was happy that they took my order because it was the week of the funeral; literally less than 72 hours before the service was to start. I paid for the overnight delivery. When the shipment arrived; it was only the lei with no haku. I emailed and Dan immediately called me back. He apologized and explained to me that the haku maker misunderstood the directions. You see, I ordered a total of 3 haiku's; two I was going to tie together and lei her with it and the 3rd one I would place around her head. The Haku maker accidentally linked all 3 of the haku's together to make one long lei. Dan immediately took care of the problem by calling in the haku maker to make another haku for me and he overnighted the haku to me all at the company's expense. He could've easily just apologized and refunded my money; but instead he choose to do his best to make it right by picking up the expense of their error. I was able to pick the haku up at the Fedex hub first thing in the morning in order to make it to the funeral onetime. It all worked out perfectly. This is "Excellent", "Superb" and "Mindful" costumer service. I highly recommend this company for all your Lei and floral needs. They are ethical, kind and considerate. Dan was right; the Haku that I picked was very full and lovely. The service was this morning.
