Flower Lei
James K.

I was looking for some flower lei for my niece's MayDay performance, and I was hoping to find something in her school colors (Red & Gold.) Not only did they have the lei I was looking for, but Tina was very helpful by wrapping the two lei together into one! And based on what I paid ($38, including tax) I'd say I got a great deal! I wholeheartedly recommend Tina's Lei Shop, and will certainly visit there first if I ever need to buy a flower lei again!

Maile & pakalana lei

Tina's our new go to lei shop. Called, Tina was very friendly & patient answering my questions. Order a maile & pakalana lei. Loved that hardly any of the vine showed, leaves weren't bruised. The pakalana could be seen and was wrapped nearly to the bottom of the lei. Tina's did not disappoint. Very Happy & Thank you to Tina's!

Just wanted to give a shoutout to all the lei vendors in Chinatown, especially Tina's, who make graduations and other special events in Hawaii memorable. Tina's has become my favorite lei vendor and will only be going to her in the future. She is so kind and helpful. I was going to a graduation ceremony on the mainland and wanted to bring a lei po'o and lei. Tina was knowledgeable about what could/couldn't pass agriculture. There were certain beautiful lei with the green sea grape that is not allowed to fly. I ended up picking out a beautiful lei po'o with pinkish/purple orchids, babies breath, and fern, which was $45. I also purchased a pinkish orchid lei. I asked her if she'd be able to change the ribbon color to match the school graduation color. She was able to do that no problem, so I really appreciate her doing this! Since it's was UH graduation the same weekend, she was not taking pre orders. She advised me to come early in the morning, and it wouldn't be a problem. Her staff is constantly making leis in the back. Her service was EXCELLENT and flowers were beautiful and more reasonably priced than other vendors nearby.

My son's date's corsage. 3 fresh red roses with baby's breath, nice and full for $35

Very responsive, variety of options for a reasonable price and turnaround time was AMAZING! Placed an order over the phone on a Friday morning, went to shop mid-day to pay and see sample of what I ordered and picked up next day Saturday for my son's Winterball that night. Will definitely go back! Although it's in the middle of Chinatown there's convenient parking across the street, quick and easy

The most beautiful leis and nicest people running the shop. Don't waste your time ordering flowers for delivery to funeral services down the street through a big giant corporate company like Teleflora. Come to Tina's and have them make you something special. They also have flowers made ready to go to pick out if you didn't order in advance.

Tina's Lei Shop literally saved my elopement, she was able to provide SAME DAY service for a last minute bouquet. It was absolutely beautiful. Lots of variety for leis too and I was able to purchase for myself, husband and family. Highly recommend!

Came here to buy lei for a work celebration. They had such a wide variety of lei and I was able to find something within budget for everyone I was picking up for! The flowers are very fresh and lasted until my event (bought 2 days prior). The owner of the shop was very friendly in helping me select a lei, I was in and out within 5 minutes.

In February 2021, I came across this lei shop looking for a haku and maile lei to bring to the mainland. The gentlemen was kind enough to answer and advise what kind I could take through department of Agriculture and would be best for presentation since our event wasn't til another 4 days. He took the time to inspect his maile leis and picked out the most promising one. He even gave directions on how to keep the haku lei fresh and even prepared it for the flight. Kindness went a long way. Not knowing what the future brings, we had to prepare for 3 Funerals, and 1 wedding within a year from 2021-2022. All our flower orders and arrangements were ordered from Tina's Lei Shop. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing peace and joy to my families life celebrations.

Haku lei, single row. So pretty!

Ordered a maile and cigar lei. Both were very fresh and the prices were really good compared to several other shops in the area.

Thank you, Twinsie "Auntie" Nadine C., for showing me love and introducing me to tuberose. I am a HUGE fan of tuberose now! I was thoughtfully blessed with some leis here and wow do I feel loved! Gorgeous, fragrant, and they lasted the whole trip with a light spritz of water in a bag and popped into the refrigerator. I even got to check the place out while we were leaving Chinatown. It's a cozy shop and you can tell they are very much well loved. What else can be said? Come here and get all your leis here. Nothing like getting lei'd by Cindy. This place is a daffodil-ight!

My father brought a huge corporate account to Cindys, which they made A LOT of money from. He had a personal relationship with the owners, which kept us loyal for decades. After my father passed, the company cut tie with Cindy's. I was devastated and didn't understand why. Cindy's always gave us the best service. Recently I found out why relations were cut. Cindy's has really changed and no longer provides the great customer service they once did. I placed a very important order for an event on the mainland to be shipped out and arrive a day before the event. I placed the order over a month in advance and was promised it would be just fine and well taken care of. Well, when the week of the event came, I called every day, multiple times a day, just to confirm everything. They won't answer their phones. I sent emails and messages through their website. Those also went unanswered. I even went to the store in person before work at 6am, nut it wasn't open yet. I had no way of getting in touch with them and wondered if they had shut down. I had to go on the faith that they have always provided us stellar service in the past. I was so wrong. Cindy's completely forgot to send my order at all, and left me without anything, the day before the event. The amount of stress I went through trying to find a florist on the mainland to provide lei was insane. Cindy's finally answered my many messages the day before. They said they could try to overnight my order that they forgot, but there were no promises it would get there on time, since the event was on a Saturday. I still have not been sent a receipt from them, which I asked for multiple times, or confirmation of the mailing. The lei did go, and my credit card got a huge charge, but without the receipt, I don't even know what I paid them for. And really, after all they put us through, they should have comped the order. My dad would be rolling in his grave to know how far downhill the company that he loved to support has gone. As for me, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I do truly hope they can get it together and grow back into the great company they once were.

You of course are a rose, But were always a rose." Robert Frost (1874-1963) I forgot just how good Watanabe Floral is.... Been a few years and many miles but they're still the number one florist on Oahu for me. It's staggering the amount of flowers, leis, haku, etc are offered here. Needed some fresh flowers for someone's birthday and I didn't want to play "roses roulette" with the typical less-than-stellar selection at the...ah... neighborhood grocery stores' inventory which is very convenient, but comes at the expense of quality. Ms Emma at Watanabe was absolutely brilliant, kind, patient and helpful with my questions. She engineered a most lovely arrangement complete with 2-dozen South American long stems, baby's breath, and St John's Wort flowers! Not only did they look amazing the day of the event but a week later they were still intact and blossoming slowly. Most other florists the petals start to fall on day 2 or 3. Will be back. Highly recommended. Mahalo nui for reading.

This place is such a happy vibe place/feeling, once you enter you will know what I mean. I just love the decor, so colorful, cheerful, so happy! I remember the very first time when I brought my mom here, I could see her happy face, I had to snap a photo of her at front of store. My recent visit I picked 10 colorful roses for my vase and also had to pick up a Birthday gift. Loved looking at all the orchids, picking one was hard. Watanabe has everything here, not only floral needs, you can just do your one stop gift shopping her. Like a local Hallmark with all the trinkets, gifts, snacks, jewelry, some very unique items that I never seen before. I came across the handmade crochet items and couldn't pass up on the bird and flower key chain, had to get them. They have very great vendors they purchase from, that's a great for supporting local! All in all, I just love shopping here! Don't forget - Mon-Sat. 9-4 & closed on Sundays! May your life be as beautiful as the flowers you give, spread happiness and joy with flowers!!

I felt so last minute, but she didn't make me feel like I was imposing...another florist in the area did, which is why I so much appreciate Eileen and her patience. She has an extensive Instagram page, showing all her previous recent work, which made it easy to decide on exactly what style and florals I wanted. Without me asking, she sent me photos of the ribbon, card and later the arrangement once it was delivered. The arrangement turned out beautifully, just as her and I planned. The exact florals I requested were featured. The size of the funeral spray was large, which I really am grateful for, as the funeral only ended up having 2 sprays. It filled the room with love so well. Overall I highly recommend. Also, I am on the mainland, so doing this all over the phone, text and email was surprisingly easy.
