Located on George Street, this ale house is right in the centre of Buxton's cafe quarter - and also part of the Buxton ale trail (rightly so).
As far as I could see during my visit they have at least 10 different beers on tap, the majority of which were local Buxton ales. As well as local ales there was a massive range of bottled beers from all over the world.
If you're visiting with someone who isn't a big ale fan then don't fret, there is also a good selection of spirits and wine on offer.
We were unsure as to what to order as we weren't familiar with the local breweries, however after asking the bar tender for pale ale suggestions we were given a few samples to try. All our questions were answered and we were extremely happy with the service and suggestions given by members of staff.
The decor inside is quirky with long wooden tables and long wooden benches as well as large blackboards detailing the beers and numerous different logos from the local breweries displayed on the wall.
I was so glad to have found this place. I'd recommend it to all ale fans and I will definitely be returning in the future. read more
