I had been dealing with tremendous sciatica pain since the spring of 2026--at times, it was almost crippling. I am incredibly grateful that my daughter, Jaime Salas, referred me to Dr. McCain. There are three things I especially appreciate about him: 1. The results. After just THREE visits, once a week, my pain became manageable. It has continued to subside so much that I truly believe I'm on my way to being pain-free. 2. His technique. Dr. McCain uses a technique I don't remember any chiropractor ever using on me before, and the results have been amazing. 3. He takes insurance! Not all chiropractors do, and I really appreciate having access to this kind of care while being able to use my insurance. Thank you, Dr. McCain, for helping me get my life back--and thank you, Jaime, for sending me his way. I'm so glad you did!

Not only is he personable,…read morelistens, & one on one with his patients who come to see him, but he knows his stuff and has corrected my problems to where I don't feel like I need to see him within three days or the next week, like I've had to with other places (nothing wrong with other chiropractors, they are also great, but Dr Joe has really helped my back & neck issues.) his chair is a drop chair, he doesn't twist you like a pretzel. He double books himself and uses a warm towel on patients to relax the muscles while adjusting another patient in the other room, which is pretty smart. His clinic is walk in only, no appointment needed. This has been beneficial for me, as when I'm in pain I can just stop by on my day off instead of scheduling an appointment one week in advance when I'm hurting now. The issue to that for other people however, may be the waiting time. It won't be no 10 minute wait like other offices. One rare occurrence I waited 15-30 minutes, but usually I have waited 2 hours to get in. Now you don't actually have to wait there for 2 hours; since Covid began there is a ticket stand to grab a number. Patients can grab a ticket and can either sit in their car, sit in the waiting room, or go grab food & run errands depending on the time and how many people are ahead of them. It's quite convenient sometimes for those who have things to do in the meantime until it's time to get adjusted. For those who are curious, they do take some insurances here, not sure which insurances they don't take. Great place all around, & the receptionist is awesome as well.

Both times for injuries affecting my training and daily activities (e.g., ability to walk, work, etc. - let alone race). To me it is important to share: This practice crossed very serious ethical and professional boundaries during the course of my care. When I raised concerns in an attempt to resolve the issues, my concerns were not addressed. The issues persisted and in fact escalated. Rather than addressing any of this, OPC instead terminated my care. Following termination, I dealt with repeated contact and inappropriate behavior from individuals associated with the practice, actions which were intrusive and extremely distressing. All of this significantly affected my sense of safety and well-being and continues to do so. Patients enter clinical care expecting professionalism, boundaries, ethical conduct, and accountability. Those standards were certainly not upheld. I have had great experiences at many other practices across the St. Louis region. I cannot more strongly recommend that patients look elsewhere.
