They took time to diagnose the issue as well as checking to see how thorough the damage was to other parts of the vehicle. It took them less than 2 weeks to completely replace everything that was damaged, all with brand new parts and included an upgrade to the next most powerful rear-differential in the Chevrolet lineup. I have a 2 year guarantee on the parts and labor. The only reason this is a 4 and not 5 star is after a thorough inspection, the original quote was no where near the end quote...the damage was more extensive than expected.

I just had my car's oil changed today and I know it's been done right because I have had them do other jobs for me. I asked up front what it would cost to have 0W-20 oil for my 2018 Versa's oil change, and there was no surprise. They even had on record that I had AAA and gave me the discount for that without me having to mention it. "They" means Ronnie O. the owner, who has been the face of the service center every time I've been there. I've had them do other major work for me on other vehicles and they advise me well on what I need and what I don't. They even redid a job of replacing front axles with more expensive parts when it turned out the parts weren't up to par. Not their fault especially since they didn't hesitate to correct it, and with no charge to me. That's not a cheap job to do. Most service places would have asked me to pay something more for that, or tried to tell me there wasn't a problem. As long as Ronnie is the owner, G & J will be my go-to repair and service place for a long time to come. I won't wonder if they're charging me too much or giving me bad advice, because I trust them.

A friend referred me here four years ago, and every experience I had with them was positive. The first time, the owner told me he could do the repair, but also explained that my insurance might cover it if I had it done at the dealership, which could save me money. I really appreciated that honesty. Another time, a warning light came on in my Jeep Wrangler. They checked it, explained what was causing it, and didn't charge me anything for the diagnosis. They were always kind, honest, and genuinely seemed to care about their customers rather than just trying to make money from every visit. Even though I no longer live in Corvallis, I still remember how well they treated me. I highly recommend them.

"Man, I'm glad I called that guy!"…read more I called Tony after searching on Google for a mobile mechanic that could do an pre-purchase inspection. I had found a car that looked awesome but it was 70 miles from my home. Tony answered the call and said he could be there the next day to do the inspection. He arrived on time and was professional and courteous to the people selling the car. He found multiple things that were wrong which were not disclosed by the sellers and would have caused the car to need more work than it was worth. If I had someone else look, or if I had looked at it myself, I would have missed these things. Tony saved me almost $7,000 and I'm grateful for his expertise. I will call him anytime I need an honest and reliable mechanic. Thanks, Tony!
