Stopped into to get a drink a quick bite. Cool location in the heart of Roma neighborhood. Hot dog was okay. They do offer a variety of homemade catsup they were interesting. I noticed most others ordered the burger.

Even though I was in CDMX, I was still craving a burger and I heard that butcher and sons had the best burgers in the city. After trying them out, they were pretty darn solid. The burger itself was good, not the best burger I've ever had, but good. The meat was juicy and the guac with everything else on it was unique. The fries were actually super good though. Salty, but not super straightforward which was nice. And the strawberry lemonade tequila was refreshing as heck. Overall a solid experience.

The burgers were a 3/5, meat was really good but overall still just an ok burger. As for the tots, same. The ambiance was a dim setting, with music playing. Overall it was a nice area, would recommend coming here for a night cap and a nice drink.

One of my go to stops every time I visit CDMX. Their burgers are absolute delicious (try the foie gras burger), their starters and salads are solid and the service is always great. They make their own ketchup (the curry ketchup is a highlight) and have my favorite Dijon mustard in the table (Maille). Perfect for their crispy fries.

I've heard good things about Butcher and Sons and the Yelp reviews are pretty good too, so I gave it a try. We arrived a little after 7 pm on a Saturday. It was lively but not so crowded we didn't get to sit down immediately. Drinks menu is huge. Lots of beer, wine, milkshakes (traditional and spiked) and an entire menu devoted to fun and tonics. Well, I love gin and tonics so I figured I had to try one since it seems to be a speciality. I got the Royale, with lemon, cinnamon and sparkling wine. It tasted like a traditional gin and tonic - good, but I didn't taste any sign of cinnamon or sparkling wine. I did, however, see lots of broken cinnamon socks floating in my drink. A little hard to deal with. Next time, I'll get a glass of wine or a beer. As for food, we went right for the burgers, since it seems like that is what they do best. We split a Zappa (with foie gras) and the one with BBQ sauce, cheddar and carmelized onions. Both were quite good. Good buns, I'd just like to see them roasted a bit more. Definitely the best burger I've had in mexico, but far from the best burger I've ever had. Still, I'd go back next time I want a burger. If you can pass on fries, order the onion rings! Really good. A note for dog owners- super dog friendly. Lots of outdoor seating and waiters brought out bowls of water for dogs.

Original burger. Avocado is extra. Burger is tasted better than it looks. Bread could be better though. It fell apart easily.

Ordered the original burger with side of avocado and chiles toreados Very tasty burger. Although the bread fell apart very easily. Great surprise about the chiles toreados which are not in the menu. No draft beers. Just bottles. Although they have a good selection of craft regional beers. Fries were pretty tasteless. Service was just ok. Nothing great. I'd probably come back because the burger was tasty but not soon. I'll try a couple of the many other burger joints in the area first.

One of their signature burgers (fries are extra).

Good food. Some surprisingly good options for vegetarians too, esp considering it's called Butcher and Sons.

Not where I would go if I'm having a burger craving. Burgers here are just okay. Not terrible but nothing great either.

The American Legion Post #2 in Mexico, established in 1920, has been located since the early 1960s in an ornate early 20th-century building at 25 Celaya, Condesa. After World War I, over 70,000 combat veterans moved to Mexico City to start a new life and escape the pains of war. Seventeen of these veterans decided to form the American Legion in Mexico City, as shown in the enclosed photo. Eventually, they settled on a building which used to be a brothel. Visit the second floor and terrace to see the rooms frequented by the Johns. It is not clear what connection these veterans had to the brothel, which was nicknamed "Lover's Roost."

It started with ubereats and getting my torta delivered with it on the side in small amount and not dipped as it is done in. I have the WhatsApp of the owner so I asked. Indeed the medium and hot cannot be dipped for a delivery because of the ingredients of the sauce. So I decided to take my sister and dine in so we could get a real experience of the sauce and meat. We got the tortas with side on side...and again small tiny cup and big torta. WTF? We complained and literally the last told us it was inside the fried chicken. It wasn't but we didn't want to be the angry gringos so we ate and left. But it still happens. Eat in. Dine out. Delivery. Sweet owner. Genuinely excited to have a good bbq fries chicken in cdmx. Never going again cause I have a WhatsApp history of promises to fix it and still no solution. Nunca más. It's a shame cause when prepared as it should be it is awesome. Sad.
