We bought our home 5 years ago I figured it was time for a clean out. Good thing, it was topped off. Adrian was the driver and worker. Put in a great deal of effort and then make sure that the tank was completely cleaned out it was more of an effort because the last place that did it didn't clean it fully out .. it was evident even to me. Follow through the next day was disappointing, leaving my tank unsealed but placing loose plastic covers over the holes in place of the concrete covers that were destroyed in removal ... We decided to go with them after interviewing them and three other companies. They were not the cheapest, but seemed to have their act together far beyond the others. They were amazing! Awesome friendly staff. Got a referral to Busy D from a good plumbing outfit and I couldn't be more satisfied. They were willing to come out same day, but offered for us to save some money by digging out our own tank top. Worker arrived when scheduled in a two hour window and called thirty minutes prior to arrival. We had not had our tank serviced since it was installed 17 years ago and it was cleaned out in a little more than an hour. Very friendly driver and the price was as quoted. Definitely will rely on Busy D in the future. I also noticed on their webpage they run their own treatment plant, so environmentally conscious as well. read more

Busy D Pumping did a great job for us. First problem was to find the tank: the builder changed the location from the plans, but had not provided good information on it final location. Then, is was in a place awkward to access and service. But all problems were solved and costs were kept under control. Staff were friendly, too. read more

We had used Busy D previous to have our old tank pumped and was impressed by the two employees that we dealt with then who were Justin & George. So now that we are adding onto the house the existing system needed to be replace to meet code, we went with them again based on the previous dealing mentioned. This will take some time and I am going to try to be impartial and let you be the judge. The first time an employee did not show and I received a call at the appointment time that said they had a emergency and won't be there, OK but there I am having taken vacation time to meet them, somehow if it had been the other way around I think I would have been billed. Many, many issues came up but I will limit them since I don't think you want to read a novel on this. I took vacation during this installation time to both keep our large dog calm and to be available if they had questions or concerns. Boils down to these key items. They hit our gas line during the unearthing of the old tank, I knew where the line was and asked them to hand dig in that area, I had even offered to do it but they used a tractor. The line was bent but not leaking and the owner did offer to have a plumber come out to redo it but I said no, since I would replace it during the addition. What bother me is I had found it, they did not come to tell me they had hit it. It was when I went to look the site over when they left for the day that I discovered it. Next the tank and field are put in, inspector comes out and turns to me and says "they tell me you are tearing the carport and workshop down?" I say yes but a garage of the same size is going in it's place which they knew. She say to meet code you are going to have to give up 5 feet (over 120 square feet) since there is a minimum of 10 feet set back to a structure, what? So in other words the they did not follow the codes during the installation and I am left holding the bag. The inspector also had to contact the civil engineer to get a wavier on the depth of the field since that was not in the tolerances of his plan either. They also did not put in the gravel in the bottom of the hole for the tank that was also on the engineering plan, the inspector did not see that because it was mostly filled by then and I did not notice it until it was too late. They were also supposed to compact the dirt in the old tank, they did fill it in and rake it but used no compactor (neither plate or tamper), so the soil is loose and before I build I will need to redo that. I was also told by the owner not to drive on the leach field or the tank (makes sense) he said a truck would be OK occasionally on the field but nothing heavy like their backhoe. So when they are filling the trenches what do they use? That backhoe that they said could not drive on it, what is it a magic backhoe? There was also a tire track from the Bobcat skid steer tractor on top of the tank, once again is this equipment magic? Fearing anything further I finished filling in and raking by hand during the long Christmas weekend so they only had to come pick up the remaining tractor, which was a lot of work but kept the stress down. Then I notice that the riser they provided for the addition tie in had a different cap on it than before. Removed the cap, looked down and you could clearly see they had hit the pipe with a tractor and buckled it and were not going to tell me. So I left some other stuff out but there you have it, I got the impression they were winging it from start to finish and it showed, friends thought I should have pushed on the setback not meeting code but I should have checked that myself (I am also an engineer) and found that error but then again isn't that why you are paying them? Nothing like paying full fair for a substandard job. So if you use them or any other company for that matter read up on the codes and check the site daily. I wonder what other damage is under all that dirt that I didn't find. This could have turned out OK if they had just communicated (and followed the codes) but winging it was the plan of the day. read more

Of the five companies I called, Busy D was the most knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to answer our questions. I can't say enough good things about Busy D and about Gary and Chris who were the technicians who came out to my home. I called and initially spoke with Justin and indicated to him that I needed someone to repair a blockage that was occurring somewhere in my septic tank system ASAP. Justin told me he could have a technician show up that morning and upon their arrival, Gary and Chris spent the next 2 hours digging up both the north and south end of my septic, rinsing out the filter and doing everything they could to snake/wash out the blockage in the septic line. Their time, effort, honesty and willingness to go above and beyond to fix the issue was sincerely appreciated as was the cost of the service. I dare anyone to find a company who matches/provides better customer service or whose employees do more to meet a customer's specific needs! read more

We moved onto our new home and simply wanted to install a riser on our septic tank for future ease of service. We dug out the tank and had John came out to install the riser. When he examined our system, much more was needed in order to make our system whole again - apparently it had been neglected for quite some time. John made the necessary arrangements to come back several days later, coordinating with his guys to have the proper equipment on site. His crew was timely, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. They did the necessary repairs, installed the new riser and access cap and were on their way. When John presented the invoice, we were relieved that what they quoted was what we paid, plus a little additional labor due to the repairs. Outstanding bang for our buck. Not only will we use them for our future septic service needs, we'll refer them to anyone needing septic tank services. read more
