We did not have our credit card with us and were told they could look up our account with our phone number, ID, and SSN. We gave them the information and they could find our account. We went home and got our bill showing account number And took it back to the store. They still could not locate the account even with the number. The manager refused to come and talk with us and to provide any help. We went to our car, called the phone number on the credit card statement and they are mailing us a check for the credit. It is a shameful that the manager refused to even speak with us today.

Most of the items seemed overpriced for what they were--mostly name-brand products you could easily find elsewhere for less. I've only had to use it a few times but it has always been easy (you need a receipt though!) I've been an REI member since 2006. In the early days, I would get $20-$30 back from my purchases because I was always stocking up. It's a great loyalty program. Today I bought replacement hiking shoes and a new item - water purification tablets! The store has a new layout so I also took some time to see how they switched things around.
