I'm definitely the outsider here. I've never been to Thailand, so there's that. But all of the Busaba Eathais have been heavenly to me. I love their curry and their pad Thai and their veggie sides and spring rolls and their calamari and oh my god I just love their food. It tastes like Thai food to me! I suppose I shouldn't question my opinion, those who think this is sub bar are the ones missing out, right? Anyway, we came here before a concert and there was a long line but it was only probably a 15 minute wait. Very efficient staff. And very good food.

Thai food rarely fails to satisfy when I'm in the mood for some Asian cuisine so we picked this restaurant for dinner after going up the O2. There was plenty of space and we were seated on one of the corners of one of their large communal tables. There was another couple diagonally of us and that seemed to be how they were positioning customers at the time. I imagine that when the restaurant is busy all the tables will be full so there won't be much privacy. Regarding the food, there's several spice levels on the menu and what I wanted, the ginger beef, was lightly spicy but I asked them to make it as mild as possible anyway and I was very happy with the result. My boyfriend got a masaman curry that he enjoyed but said it didn't taste like it generally does in other restaurants. We also ordered a duck and pineapple salad that neither of us could remember seeing a spice notice next to but it actually was light to medium spicy. In general the staff was friendly and I enjoyed the meal so I would gladly visit another restaurant in the chain given the opportunity. It's a solid choice if you like Asian and are looking for somewhere to eat.

Pretty good thai restaurant inside the O2 arena. Not the cheapest but compared to the food concessions in the main arena, it was pretty good value. Service was a bit slow but at least you don't have far to go to watch your 'show'

My favourite green curry fried rice is not available in last visit as they were having a busy night as well as 1/4 of the menu is not available due to the same reason as well. A bit disappointed however the food is still at very good standard and genuine Thai favor too. Will definitely come again.

This was my first visit to a Busaba Eathai and I'll definitely be back! My companion and I went for the 2 course £12.95 set menu which was great value. We shared the two small dishes - chicken satay and vegetable spring rolls. The satay was delicious, although a smaller portion than expected (maybe you get more in the full size starter?). The spring rolls were okay, and there were more of those than expected (5!) with a lovely sweet chilli dipping sauce. My main was the ginger beef with jasmine rice and it was delicious. My only criticism is that several of the menu options weren't available at my visit, with no pre-warning. I ordered two dishes before picking one that was actually available.

I enjoyed the food here and I was very surprised at how much I did enjoy it. I thought because of the location, it was going to be similar to Wagamamas in that it would be quick. To start, we ordered the calamari and the chicken satay. The chicken satay was very good and sooooooo hot temperature wise, like it had just come off of the grill. Dipped in the satay sauce - awesome! The calamari was also very tasty, it had a sweet and sour taste to it which I liked. For mains, I had the duck massaman curry with rice and my companion had this deep fried chicken with sticky rice. My curry was very tasty and the portion was a decent size as well. I still, prefer lamb massaman curry though however that is if I was forced to choose. There was a decent amount of duck in the curry as well. The waiting staff were very helpful and polite, and the service was good. Overall, if I want something quick, tasty and filling, I shall definitely visit here again. A good shout before a show as well.

These smooth and tasty butter cookies is the reason why you should always order tea at Busaba's. Almost as good as their mains.

My favourite Busaba branch. We never have to queue up and the food served here is just that nudge better than the branch at Stratford Westfield. Order a tea here because then you will get to try the lovely and mouthwatering biscuits that only true Busaba regulars know of. If you are more of a beer guy or gal the Singha beer will rarely disappoint you. The meals themselves are always super tasty and it seems like they have recently updated their menu card to include only their very best dishes. We always go for the calamari as a side and I suggest that you do so as well.

Taste wise was great, service was okay. Felt like I was being judged hard by the waitresses for having an American accent. Horrible.

I had their spicy ground beef larb with coconut rice and was impressed, it WAS spicy and hot. Most Thai places play down the spice factor but they sure don't here. It doesn't look like much from the outside and I was here on a Saturday night and the place was empty. Nonetheless the girl here was really friendly the food was perfectly fine and the prices are beyond reasonable. I love finding places off the tourist radar.

I LOVE Thai food and when I saw a 4.5* spot just round the corner called Thailand, it just had to be investigated! We arrived and straight away noticed the great offer of a 3 course meal and a glass of wine for just £12.95 served throughout the week. Impressive! We were feeling flush and decided to choose off the a la carte menu but I'd definitely return to give the offer a whirl. We chose to share the mixed starter, and the crispy duck and pancakes to start, and then chicken penang, prawn pad thai and sticky rice for mains. Service throughout was polite and well timed, our waitress was in fact the owners daughter and shared some stories about her father and the two restaurants they own. She was wonderful! Now to the food - the mixed starter was a bit of a disappointment, there was just way too much deep fried vegetables rather than the good quality products like chicken satay and prawn toast. We actually had to leave the majority which was a shame. Now to the duck... NOM. Perfectly cooked and crispy, plenty of pancakes to share, plum sauce think a flavoursome and when put together with cucumber and spring onion, just perfection! Now to the best part - their Thai food is authentic, packed with a punch and truly delicious! The pad Thai had lots of large and juicy king prawns, the Penang was in a thick and creamy sauce - the best I'd ever had! All I will say is we would have like a little more veg (in both dishes) but this didn't take away from flavours of food, really great quality food! We really did enjoy the evening and we'll definitely be back for another girlie night soon! Highly recommended if in the area and a lover of Thai!

I just wanted to clarify a few points that were raised above but not fully discussed: 1) This restaurant does NOT serve any alcohol at all. Consequently, they do allow you to bring your own wine (which is great for saving money). So be sure to stop into one of the local shops on your way there and buy a bottle of wine. 2) Space is VERY limited. The restaurant is basically the dining room of an old house that's been converted into a restaurant. So it can get very crowded. Be sure to call first and make a reservation. I've seen people waiting outside this place for 30-40 minutes to get a table otherwise, and the first thing the waiter asks to in-coming customers is "Do you have a reservation?" And it can get crowded on week-days as well as weekends.

If you're a fan of "authentic" Chinese food, you're going to be disappointed, as the menu is largely made up of the usual English takeaway favourites like crispy chili beef, but if you just want some fried rice, sweet and sour pork and prawn crackers brought to your door and get change from a £10 note, then it's a good option. They do a range of excellent value set meals, all of which serve more people than they state - or maybe I just have a small appetite? Like most places, they always quote around 45 minutes delivery time, but I've rarely waited more then half an hour.

Beef curry and Mongolian beef are both decent, and the Singapore noodles (vermicelli, of course, as ho fun and egg noodles are no substitute) are nice and spiced. The vegetarian crispy duck is nearly as good as the real duck, and in general both dishes are better than the versions from other restaurants. The orange chicken isn't exactly what I expected; it's more of an orange version of lemon chicken, if that makes sense. In the US, orange beef is a standard dish, where the breading is cornstarch and very crispy, with a subtle orange glaze that doesn't soften the breading. New Winner's version is doused in sauce so the breading had nearly disintegrated; the kids didn't care though and ate it just fine :) Prices are reasonable. You can feed a family of four on 15 quid.

The restaurant itself is basically a large conservatory with chunky wooden furnishings and is decorated with a nice variety of Thai artefacts. The staff are all very welcoming and pleased to offer advice if it's needed. I have lost count of the number of times I have dined here with B and friends over the past few years; it's a local favourite and can be relied on to serve up a tasty Thai feast whenever you feel the need for some spicy comfort food without breaking the bank. We kicked off with our usual starter of the Jasmine Platter which was a nice selection of Thai favourites. Our guest Patrick had the Tom Woon soup which came with plenty of well flavoured chicken. For the mains we had a masaman curry, chicken panang and my personal favourite the tamarind duck which is a sliced breast sitting on a bed of seaweed with a very tasty sweet and sour sauce. There is a small reasonably priced wine list or you can order beer or larger from the pub and have it brought through. It gets very popular with the locals here at the weekend so I would recommend booking in advance. We tumbled out into the chilly night air well satisfied with the way we had kicked off 2011.
