I do my laundry at the bristol st location because ive been to other ones and this is the only one ive seen the a worker actually work and not sit in the office. She's always out on the floor working. She takes care of customers needs even if shes in the middle of doing something she doesn't make them wait. Kelsey always has a smile on her face and always ready to help out anyone in need. I was sitting here today doing my laundry when I noticed her taking all the seals off the dryers one by one to clean them so the doors would have a better seal, that put a smile on my face knowing kelsey cares about her customers. I went to Burton's Laundry in River Park and the workers and service were very good but the parking lot is atrocious. I stepped out of my car into something very sticky. My shoe stuck to the parking lot and there was trash everywhere including a dirty diaper. I am really sorry that people are so disrespectful but if the owner of this establishment wants to have my business please clean up the parking lot it's a disgrace. read more

The older lady that works there should be fired immediately! She attempted to hold people's clothes hostage and threatened them with the little authority she has given herself. The doors may lock at 8:30 PM but the laundromat closes at 10PM! If someone comes back for their clothes before 10PM they should not be harassed by that lady. Then she attempted to chastise me for leaving my cellphone, but I was unaware I would be held hostage as well. I have never experienced such a disrespectful person, at the laundromat. I took a duvet to have dry cleaned as I had them do just a month prior to going two days ago. Upon picking it up, I find out that they WASHED the duvet instead. I was so pissed. I was told they don't do dry cleaning anymore but I was not told this nor were there are signs indicating that they don't do it. Not sure yet if my duvet is ruined, afraid to check because tag specifically reads to dry clean only. I complained to the manager and told her they do not do a good job of letting people know they don't do dry cleaning anymore Cost was $15, but I paid $10, although should only have paid $5.00.!! read more

Obviously reading the reviews now there's been problems with the older lady. I've been to this location multiple times and will NOT be going back , the old lady was VERY rude to us as we were getting out of our car telling us she locks the doors at 8:30 and we can not come in and do a load. Which is fine but they close at 10?? I understand if they have a cut off for doing a last load but the way she marched to the door and how she talked to us so rudely is good enough for me to never go there again. I have seldom used a laundromat, especially in the last 20 years. Unfortunately, my washing machine broke and I needed to do laundry. I went to Burton's on Edison, took in 3 loads to wash, put clothes in and money. Machine took money, but didn't work. I went to the front desk to ask for help. The attendant was folding clothes way in the back. I asked if she could help, that I just lost my money in the machine. She said "no we don't do refunds." She didn't even stop what she was doing and come to the front to talk. I said if the machine isn't working, I should get a refund. She said call the manager tomorrow. Worst customer service! I got my clothes and walked out. Didn't even wash anything. I called the manager multiple times a day for three days. No one ever answered or returned a call from the messages I left. I was really angry. Inspired me to buy a new washer and dryer immediately and vow to never go to a laundromat again. I only lost a few dollars, but I'll never forget how poorly I was treated in that that experience. The good news, I had the money to buy my own washer and dryer. The bad news, what if I really needed to wash clothes for a job and didn't have another option, and then didn't have enough money to finish the clothes. Disgraceful customer service! read more

i couldn't believe the attitude of the old bag lady that they had running this joint. first she told me not to use the machine i wanted and took me to a machine that was cheaper. That same machine to ok 3 dollars from me and she was All too anxious to tell me i put the money in wrong and jammed the machine. ROBBERY BEWARE! THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER!!! They don't care about the customers, even though their website touts "Under Burton's current management, customer service and affordability are the key focus"... that's a LIE!! I had decided to try this laundromat and never again! BEWARE! I accidentally put in too many quarters because another of their machines made it clear once you reached the maximum amount needed, then a different machine, which I didn't realize, was set up differently and I didn't realize I had put in way too many quarters (sadly $5 worth because I don't normally use quarters and mis-counted losing track). The older woman employee saw how many quarters I had to get change for from the change machine and therefore could clearly see what I had left when I discovered this! I had asked if I could put in a request for a refund, or request a refund on paper and she said "No. These machines don't belong to me and I'm just an employee and it's your fault, not the machine." I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER BURTON'S AGAIN! PLEASE TAKE YOUR BUSINESS WHERE THEY ACTUALLY VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS!!! read more

They did a real crap job pressing my shirts. It looks like they are BURNED in places. It looks like whoever pressed my shirts just threw them on the ironing board,pressed them on HIGH for two seconds and then hung them up. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I can't speak for the laundry side of things but I can tell you that the dry cleaning side of the business is fantastic! The ladies who work at the counter are very friendly, and they are quick and efficient. I brought in three shirts and three pants at 8:30 in the morning and I have them back by 2 PM that afternoon. Wow! Pricing is very affordable at $2.50 a dress shirt and $5 dollars for a pair of pants. I highly recommend giving these guys a shot, I will be using them for my time in town! Never ever go to this place. They burnt my sport coat in first dry clean. As per their rules they were supposed to pay me close to the full amount. They sent me a check for half the amount along with coupons for washing my car at the car wash opposite their laundry. When I asked why they were not paying the full amount, a guy snatched the check and tore it. I just walked out and never went back. He acted like a thug/bully. read more

I don't have to head to a laundromat to often, but when I do I come here. I've always had a pleasant experience. Today I asked the lady behind what washer I should use to wash a big comforter and a sleeping bag. She showed me which one. After having problems getting my money in the machine she came over and helped me out. Later she asked how things were working out for me and I said excellent. I also saw her talking to other customers. Based on my experience today and in the past I would recommend this laundromat. read more

I'm in here currently and I think it will be the last time. The clerk was verbally abusive to a male guest locking him out of the place early then berated him as he walked in. It made me feel unsafe. With such a lack of customer service due to the clerk hanging out with her man friend it was a horrible experience. I never like dry cleaners and this place has confirmed my distaste. Rude! We were 1 of 2 small families in the whole place. Our toddlers were playing nicely with the other family. Clerk came and told us to quiet down! They were not loud at all. It's good BUT, the not enough water for washing and rinsing. I'm not the kind who out laundry in the machine then go home or sit outside. I hath to make sure my laundry is wash good and add softener. The big machines in all the Burton's laundromats have little water while washing. The Corby Laundromat was wayyyyy better but they closed down and I'm sad cos now I hath to go back to Burton. Every washing machine you can hear the water splashing and you can see water rising up. Burton, nope. Only dripping of water when wash and rinse but you don't see any water level up to quarter or at least half of the machine. The small machines that cost like $2.25. It washes for 19 minutes, when it rinses, it rinses and spins at the same time. Unless you add another quarter for medium wash or heavy. What kind of bullshit is that? That's ripped off man. So machine cost like $3 if you add hot or warm water. Also, that means your laundry is not clean cos it needs water to rinse off soap and softener. This is unbelievable. I rather hand wash my laundry than waste $20 every week for laundry. That's more than a $100 a month for laundry....driving, gas, soap, washing, drying and etc. I hate to give -reviews but Burton needs to let the damn water flow for washing. You charge more money for laundry, so let us use the damn water please. read more

This dry cleaner actually stole from me. I realized after I dropped off a coat to be cleaned that I had left my iPhone headphones in the pocket. When I picked up the coat, rather than being an honest business and returning my property, they had taken them and didn't say anything. Never using this dry cleaner again! read more

This laundromat is clean, safe, quick, easy to use and the people who work there seemed friendly. There is a change machine and plenty of room to sort and fold. There were lots of sizes of washers and they all worked. No problems whatsoever. I will make this my regular laundromat. read more

I took my favorite dresses to be dry cleaned and they came out too short to wear. There is no possible way they should have shrunk from a dry cleaning unless the workers decided to just wash them. Now I had to repurchase my dresses and am out hundreds of dollars. I will never return to this dry cleaners. read more

HORRIBLE!!! I spent over $100 dollars on dry cleaning of many cashmere sweaters and was horrified to find them hung on wire hangers when I picked them up. Many were still wrinkled and did not look like anything other than being hung on wire hangers had been done. When I expressed my disappointment I was told I had to ask for my sweaters to be folded. It was the worst dry cleaning experience of my life. I had to have all of them re done somewhere else. read more
