When I called to correct it, they didn't seem to believe me that I had already paid and asked if my grandmother or husband helped me pay. Nope - paid full price in cash with the receipt to prove it. I let it slide as a fluke but when I went in recently to look at other items, they didn't seem interested in helping me. That's too bad because I probably would have paid cash as well. The colors mimic the hues displayed in the landscapes and paintings in an art museum and delight the eye. Cooking in this environment is never boring. During the following year we returned to Mees and acquired a green quartzite countertop for our master bathroom to compliment the hues in our stained-glass window crafted by a master German artist. The effect is breathtaking. We are now in a quest to remodel another bathroom reflecting Souther gentility with historic southern colors and charm and would never consider seeking assistance from anyone but Mees. They currently have upgraded their services to include installation. The owner and staff reflect the professionalism, competency, and consideration we have come to appreciate and expect. We enthusiastically recommend Mees for the smallest to largest design projects one might have.

My projects have included a new hot water heater, tree root removal, a tub faucet replacement, and installing new pipe clean outs in my basement and garage. I was referred by a friend who was referred by a friend. Apparently almost all of his clients are referrals (I don't believe they do any advertising themselves) which tells you what you need to know!

I had gone here in search of some plaster anchors and rather than selling me the more expensive anchors the very helpful clerk pointed me towards the $1 aisle where I found exactly what I was looking for. After asking me what my project for the day was the clerk took me throughout the store and helped me pick out all potentially needed items. The only drawback that I can see of this place is their hours. They close at an hour that would make a banker blush. When I have projects to do I'm typically doing them after my work hours (normal 9-5), and they close at 530 on Weekdays and 3P on Saturdays. That means if I'm working on a project I need to go directly from my work to their store, and hopefully there is no traffic. Very decent selection, and very helpful staff. I'm quite the hardware store fan, and my only other complaint with this store so far is that it's not Klingenberg's in Covington, but hey, maybe I'm biased.
