Poor scheduling on delivery and pickup of trash containers. Unacceptable to have a 12 hour dropoff/pickup window on dumpsters. Your company knows 24 hours in advance when the pickup day is. Burrtec, ever do I start? I have nothing but trouble and excuses from them. I'm running a large construction site. We are grading right now. Called several days ago to get a roll off emptied and returned. Guy shows up and says "oh that's in a bad spot I cannot move it." The driver that put it there will have to come and pull it out. He said he called the office and it will be picked up in a couple of hours. Fast forward to today. They never showed. Now I am grading around it. If it's not picked up very soon I'm going to have a tractor push it out of the way and it will probably get pretty beat up. When they open this AM I will call them and tell them since they did not come back they have about an hour before I take matters into my own hands. This company is terrible. read more

When you call them, their message says "We'll take care of it." But they don't. Ordered three bins; 1st one delivered on time. Second one they could not off-roll from their truck so they couldn't deliver the 2nd one til 2 days after. Then when they removed the 2nd one, they dragged it across the side of the neighbors' truck (adjoining driveways but neighbors truck was parked on their side of the driveway) and did about $2,000 worth of damage. Of course they deny responsibility but the deep srcatches in the truck are the exact same height of the bin. I wouldn't recommend renting anything from them; terrible customer service. And just as a side note, one time I called, I could hear one of the employees being chastised in the background by someone who sounded lime one of the managers. I was really embarrassed for that employee even though I didn't know who she was. The manager was being firm with the employee "like we all need to do our job around here." Not a good thing for customers calling in to hear. Looks like a lot of bad reviews. I am going to contact Supervior Hahn's office to let her know this company apparently really has a lot of negatives and that I hope they will consider another company for the next county disposal contract. In the high wind (like 2 months ago) I lost one of my bins. I've called both numbers about it multiple times and spoke to two people about it. Despite both saying they'll have a new bin for me the following week during trash pick up, I never did get a new bin. I would switch waste management companies if I could. So it took three weeks and three phone calls to get a trash container replaced. The phone reps seemed genuinely surprised by the errors and did what they could to fix the errors. Still think most of the employees do a very good job. read more

Horrible Service. I called to get specific instructions on holiday trash pick up. On my trash service day I bagged 4 bags of trash, and bundled my boxes as per instructed by Carla. The driver only took 2 bags of trash. I called back and was told to leave the other 2 bags for pick up, which was picked up by the end of day.. But the recycle driver failed to pick up the boxes that were bundled. So I called back again and was told to leave the bundled boxes out from 6:00 am to 6:00pm the following day for pick up. Which I did, but again was not picked up. The next morning, call back #3, I spoke to Rose at 10:00 am. Told her to please send driver out to pick up boxes but to please wait one hour to call it in because I was at Doctor appt and bin was not on street yet. She refused to wait the hour and told me there was "no guarantee" he could come within the hour.. I asked her to please not call it in yet and all she could say was "THERE IS NO GUARANTEE" No apology for to me, the customer, for any inconvenience... When I asked to speak to her manager, she told me Veronica, the manager was in a meeting and gave me her voice mail. I live in a windy area and find it unacceptable for Burrtec to expect me to just continue to leave my boxes out and hope they get picked up. Very DISSATISFIED with this Fontana office! read more

why does my bill go up EVERY year? my cans are falling apart, but i cant get anyone to swap them out. they skip their regular pick up day without telling anyone for ridiculous "holidays" so the whole street has garbage out for 2 days. HOW is it not a monopoly for 1 company to be forced on everyone in the city with no option to opt-out or use a different service?? how many city council members were paid off? Totally horrible. I have a busy job so when I am able to speak with someone it is normally after 5pm or before 8 am. So, I tried several means to contact them, which include emailing, online messaging, and voice mails. THEY NEVER RETURN MY CALLS, or EMAILS. It is absolutely opposite to what they say in the voicemail or on the website: we will get back to you the next business day. Fine. I squeezed my time to give them some calls during lunch hours. My requests were: 1. I never receive my bill, could you resend me one? 2. Do you take green waste for my community? Okay, for #1: customer rep ordered a duplicate bill. I have NEVER received it. It has been 2 months. (But I got a robot call to remind me to pay the bill). For #2: I called 3 times and each rep gave me different answers. It turns out no green waste service for my community. (But I have 3 bins, damn!) Now my online account is locked. I cannot use online services. I pay my bills even though I don't receive my paper bill. This is so horrible. read more

i spoke to customer service today and the First Lady seem in a bad mood and very condescending, she ended up hanging up on me, maybe "me talk too slow" Then I called again and talked to a different lady, she seem to be in a hurry and very straight forward with no entrance incentive to help. All I wanted was to change service to my name and for Burrtec to pick up thrash left behind by old tenant as soon as possible, she ended up charging me extra $10.00 a barrel for special trip. Not bad, but I have to ask her twice for this service.. It was very windy this week and a lot of the neighbors palm tree branches were blown in the street in front of my house. I pulled all the branches together but couldn't fit them in my green trash bin so I gathered them together and placed them next to the green bin. The driver (truck 1798) refused to pick them up saying it should be in the green bin. I tried to place them in the green bin after he emptied but he refused to pick up even though I was pleading with him - he said he had to go and left me standing there. They pulled a bate and switch on me I've used there low roll off containers in the past for construction / concrete work. I was getting a container for about $200 for 7 days and they would put a hold on my credit card for any over tonnage. Empties were about $120 In November, I ordered a container. They told me that it is $213 for the Rolloff and a $300 hold that I would have returned. After 4 days I called to have it emptied and returned, and the woman said that it would be another $213. I saw the (2) $213 and the $300 charges and called them after a couple weeks to find out about the $300 hold and was told that that charge was for the emptying of the rolloff and They are keeping it. THEY ARE RIPPING ME OFF!!!!!!! THEY ARE THEIVES, AND NEXT TIME I WILL GO TO SOMEONE ELSE. Even if I have to pay more!!!!!!!!! They have a trash monopoly going on with the city, just like Time warner and the Fontana water company..... If I could give no stars I would. I've never lived anywhere where your garbage pickup provider doesn't have a place to drop off cardboard. After moving in and redoing house we have so much cardboard and it would take months to put it in our recycling bin every week. Where do you drop off cardboard? Called in June 1st to request a bulky item pickup ...spoke to a Brittany she told me that the next available date would be June 23rd because "systems were down" and have been down for the past 3 weeks....called a week before to request the same pickup and the representative was able to send a truck out the next day.. told Brittany that the representative who I had spoken to a week ago helped me when "technically the systems were down" was able to send someone out next day ?! she had no answer/explanation for me. Very unhelpful, unprofessional, poor customer service... I couldn't wait until June 23rd which was the first available date Brittany gave me for a pickup, called the following day and a different representative was able help me and get a pickup the following business day which is normally standard procedure for bulky item pickup. Brittney was you were no help at all please get retrained, treat customers with respect you give Burrtec a bad name. read more

I just moved to Morongo Valley last week, I called to get service, I got that tired & rushed woman who instead of welcoming me to the area said - We do not transfer money from your Joshua Tree acct. to new acct in Morongo Valley. She said we cancel one & open a new one! Although when I was paying that large bill I had called & asked them they had said they do transfer. She said you must provide a copy of your deed to us, I said that will be a public record any way, for now I just closed escrow you can call escrow...She was so bad I had to hang up on her. I think Burrtec customer service needs to be a bit sensitive, moving is so stressful no need for more stress from the garbage company! Then again Burrtec is the monopoly in the area & with no care! A day later I called again for service a nice lady answered & set up my acct. I asked if they will bill me or I should pay upfront? She said they will bill me. Today the bins were supposed to be delivered. About 1:30 PM a lady called, checking on my address number She said they had wrote it wrong & She said she will give it to the drivers & I should get the bins. About 3 PM I still had no bins, I called Yucca Valley office ...After 10 minutes of waiting for Cindy to check, she came back to say- You did not pay upfront they are not delivering! While I was waiting for her I noticed on my Google Voice a message from Burrtec, that they had left me before 2 PM today saying they have transferred my extra payments from Joshua Tree acct. but still needing additional money. Why leave a message on the delivery day? Even though I was assured on the phone on the service order day they will bill me, strange customer service ROBOTS!!! They bill for 4 months in advance, I asked for a manager and the manager was not around, it s not enough that they already have my money for August & Sept and today is only August 19, but because they do not have my money yet for the Oct. & Nov? I wish I was able to take my garbage to their office & throw them on the manager's desk for managing the customer service so bad! They have no idea what issues people are dealing with when they are moving, & they do not know why people move...They are out of touch and careless! Like ROBOTS.... I never had so many problems. They don't pick up all the cans at the curb. Over charge me and pretty much refuse to reimburse me. Tell me they will credit my account or send me a check in 8-12 weeks. Seriously, how about some interest then. They've got my money that wasn't owed to them and they get to hang on to it for up to 3 months. Poor business practices. I just sold my house and had called to cancel service, the closing date for my home has changed so I called back to reschedule the date. I was told that would be fine and it was all taken care. Well they picked up all my cans on the original date. When I called to see if I could get a can back they told me no, that once you cancel service you can't reschedule that date and the girl should of have never told me I could. After being a customer 19 years you would of thought there would have been some courtesy service. Thank God where I'm moving to Burrtec waste management does not service my area. Condescending, arrogant telephone operator treated this senior as if he was 3 yrs old! For 19 yrs I've been a customer at the same location and had nothing but trouble with Burrtec service. Truck operators flipping the cans causing a lot of trash to spill on lawn & street. Truck operators missing my cans on trash day when they are where they're supposed to be, on the street with a foot or two between them. One truck operator lives down the street from me & has been particularly bad about spilling the trash, reporting my barrels as not placed where they are supposed to be, arriving on my block drunk after imbibing his lunch at the local restaurant, La Paloma. These entitled truck operators need a lesson on how it was collecting trash in the 1960s when they actually had to do hard manual labor. Maybe then they'd be more appreciative of what advantages they now have. read more

I am very dispointed with Burrtec, I was on the 210 fwy Saturday afternoon and I was behind a Burrtec and rock came out of the back of the truck and now my windshield is cracked I have sent several emails and nobody has responded . I cant not believe a company this big could treat customers or people like this. I even sent pictures and nothing from these people . They need to do something about their trucks and get some kind of panel where debris and rocks don't come out of the back. Next time is could really hurt someone read more
