This review is NOT for the pick-up service . it is for the customer service I received calling the number for Jurupa Valley. I have had my account set up on auto pay for a while then all of the sudden I get a "Just a friendly reminder to let you know that we have not received a payment", I called and was informed I am not set up for auto pay and the reason is because I had 3 payment methods on my account, so the took off 2 and set my account up again on auto pay . 3 months later, I get the same notice, I called again, the lady looked back at my account and told me I was never on auto payment I explained to her the situation and told her my Neighbor had the same issue and maybe there is a software issue and she might want to let someone know ,,,,in a very RUDE tone she said "there is definitely not a software issue", I felt as if she was calling me a liar!!!! at his point I left the conversation. I also wanted to add ,I called about the senior discount , I was informed that i would get a 10% discount but they would come take away my black barrel and give me a smaller, also they would take away my extra barrel that I pay for . I asked why would you take away service from me ? the rep told me " when you get older you produce less trash" I explained to her , when I worked I was away from my house for 12hrs I ate 2 meals away from home , when I retired now I eat 3 meals at home and I produce more trash at home, also I do more things at home to stay busy (wood working) and that produces more waste furthermore my 3/4 acre yard did not get smaller as I got older!!! their Senior discount policy is discriminating. read more

Complete TRASH. I have had to contact this company on several occasions because they fail to empty my trash on my scheduled. How are all the trash cans emptied on my street yet mine and my neighbor's are missed. When speaking to representatives, it is always implied that I have either not taken my trash out on time or had something blocking the trash can. Both that are untrue. Getting service to come back out to do their job is a headache in itself. Representatives state they will input a "courtesy" pick-up. How is it a courtesy pick-up if the company failed to do their job in the first place. Now I sit here waiting for the company to finish the scheduled route first to come pick-up yesterday trash. The problem with a lot of reviews is when you get good service your less apt to write a review. its usually when there is an issue that people love to jump on the complaint band wagon. This is a positive review. I have scheduled bulky item pick ups in the past and following their instructions i have never had a problem. on the contrary the last bulky item pick up i scheduled was being picked up early in the morning when the driver himself called to ask me a question about other items that where out. my mistake for leaving kids toys out. So Burrtec has always provide great service to me and my family with what is otherwise a nasty thing no one wants to think about. I am heated. My DISABLED mother ordered this dumpster so we can come and clean up her yard since my dad passed away and can no longer do it. These idiots dropped off the dumpster the day before, blocking the gate to the entire yard, preventing my mother from leaving if she needed to. My mother is currently carrying for my uncle, who recently had a stroke and could of really needed medical attention. My mom tried to push the dumpster but was not able to even budge it because she is DISABLED. I am in such disbelief that the person who dropped it off was okay with leaving it there. I hardly ever give a poor rating review, I believe in keeping it positive but I had no choice in this situation. The worst customer service I've experienced in a while. My trash can was missed on Wednesday, trash day, so I called Burrtec to schedule a courtesy pick up. I called them on Thursday, they said they would send someone, nobody came, I called back on Friday, they said someone would come, nobody came. Now it's Sat and Sun and my trash can is completely overloaded. I called back on Monday, they put me on hold and then somehow was disconnected. Wow! Beyond frustrated at this point. As I was writing this review I was on hold again... about 7 mins. Finally, someone answers my call. It was a lady named Liz, she was so cool, she let me vent and explain what I have gone through. I needed some bulky items picked up & Judy, the customer service rep who assisted me, was extremely helpful, courteous & knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything in great detail. The quantity of items allowed, the dates available for pickup, the time & day I needed to place the items out in order to be serviced properly. I would also like to mention that because I took her advice & placed the items out the evening prior to pick up, I was pleasantly surprised to find the drivers had arrived nice & early the morning they were due to arrive. All in all I've had Burrtec for many years as my service company. The drivers are always on time & friendly & whenever I've had the pleasure of speaking with Judy she is a wealth of information. For three years we have asked for three broken bins replaced caused by Burrtec trash crews lack of focus. Each time we are promised by their staff it will be done and each time no one replaces them! My trash cans were out but they blew over at 2am.......Now I heard trash truck go by in these SUPER high winds.. why? How? It is soooooooo windy that it is actually dangerous to even try to roll out a can! I called because I thought maybe the service would be suspended and maybe they would send a truck tomorrow and this is what your employee said..... They have their usual route today but we don't encourage you to put your trash out ‍‍ Wait, what? What has this world come to? How does this make any sense? I explained to her that we just threw out a bunch of meat and that we will get maggots if it sits in the heat for a week. She was like "oh".... just put out extra bags next week. Ok Also, I have called twice about a bulk pick up item that you were going to take. You said if it was too big and you couldn't take it that you would leave it there and red tag it. Ok that sounds reasonable enough. So one of your trucks actually tried to lift it two weeks ago, they dropped and broke the commercial fridge AND left it in the middle of the street blocking our driveway. NO RED TAG either. I figured they would be back with a different truck. I called because it had been out there for days ....an employee said a supervisor would come out last Monday or Tuesday (Oct 19 or 20) and nobody called or came. This morning at 2 AM it was rolling down the street! Lucky for us I was awake and heard it roaring down the street and we were able to run out and stop it. This is a safety hazard! I called again today and your employee stated that she would email a supervisor AGAIN! Hopefully this can be resolved quickly I would hate for someone to get hurt or someone's property to be damaged due to your negli Update.... In previous review I mentioned it was literally ROLLING down the street in the high winds.... so no supervisor called, came or emailed... we had to call and pay a private company to come pick up fridge. If I could give a lower score I would, like a -10. This is by far the trashiest company I have ever dealt with. They harrass people for payment, even when those folks don't live in the home and they have renters who are responsible to pay. They send threatening letters talking about placing liens on properties, lawsuits etc., $30 was owed at the time of the letter. For 30 years I've been involved in the apartment rental business and construction. Burrtec is the worst disposal company I have ever used. In their San Bernardino office, Armando the supervisor Karina and Orelia and others are very unprofessional. Long hold times. No return phone calls. When they fail to empty a trash bin after two and three days of promising to do so, you call their office and they bog you down by asking the same questions over and over again. I scheduled a bulky item pickup one week in advance and was told it was set for the next trash day but nothing ever happened. I called and they promised to pick it up before 6:30pm, but they didn't pick it up until the next day. Scheduling pick up was relatively easy, but they shouldn't make promises on the time considering their drivers may have multiple pick ups and most likely can't get to each one at the exact time. Instead they should be giving an approximate amount of days in which they'll fulfill one's request. read more

I live in N. Fontana where it's extremely windy on some days. As a corner home, I get empty trash cans on my lawn on trash days thanks to the wind. Sometimes no one claims them. I periodically call Burrtec to come pick them up and often have to deal with rude people on the phone. Not only that, I physically ran after someone picking up trashcans a day after trash day and the driver literally told me he could only take ONE can and because I didn't request a pick up he couldn't take it. I seriously wish there was a competive industry for trash pick up services because I'd definitely take my business elsewhere. I've gotten good and bad service via phone..but most recently we rented a roll off the 40 foot which came at a pretty penny. (538$ plus a 300$ deposit) our garage was overflowing with misc items that was ultimately trash, along with a lot of yard clippings etc. we had it dropped off on Saturday and it was to be picked up Saturday, which wasn't clear in the beginning. I had to call after drop off how long we had the bin for. My mistake. But a 40 ft roll of at a residential home for only 7 days seems like a lot of time but truly it's not nearly enough time. We work full time and have 3 kids...we asked if we could have the bin an extra day. Yes, but at a cost of 30$ a day and they don't pick up on Sunday's. So a total of 70 extra $$. We decided it was worth it to have the rest of the weekend to complete what we needed. Fast forward to pick up time the man was here at 6:10am and my vehicle was in the way. We had no choice but to park there. Figured ok in the am I'll move it.. hopefully people have left for work blah blah. They called 4 times and rang the doorbell. Once we got to the door he was Already hoping in the truck. I tried calling the number back 20 times and left a VM but I could NOT get through! I had to pay 70 more $ to have them come back and pick it up ...due to a small gap in time. I could not reach anyone until after 8 am. If a customer is not able to reach a service line at the hour of pick up, then pick services shouldn't be rendered at that TIME! We were given a time frame of 6am- 6pm...no way did I think he would be here at 6:10 am when we're all dead asleep. Grand total of 670$ if they don't take our 300$ deposit. I just missed my trash pick up & the driver was on the other side of the street picking my neighbor's bins & shook his head while he drove away. I realize I'm at fault for not getting the bin out in time but he was right there across the street. HORRIBLE customer service but that appears to be the norm for Burrtec in other locations. First off..we had problems with the garbage truck picking up both the recycle and garbage can..when it should have been separate trucks for each. Why bother recycling when it is dumped into the garbage truck? Finally got that problem fixed after three times calling them. Next..they did not pick up the trash on three occasions...had to call the office and send them back out. This last time the trash was not picked on Thursday..we again called the office..again they said they would send someone out on Friday. Friday rolls around and still no pickup. So...we call Monday and we were told the driver was out and picked up the trash. The trash of course was never picked up. We at that point asked them why the driver would lie..they had no idea. Really!!!! You have a driver that does not collect the trash and lies about it and you have no idea why...and this is a way to run a company??? And this problem has occurred on three occasions and no action has been taken against the driver...amazing. read more

This company is very unprofessional. I ordered a container, paid the fee of $100 and was told it would be there the next day. The next day nothing came. Called in and received a "Sorry it will be there tomorrow". The next day NOTHING! I had to call in again and they put me on a long hold to figure out what is going on. Again they say "Sorry it will be there tomorrow and a supervisor will call you". Waited again and the next day no one dropped it off and no supervisor called. I began to wonder what type of management system they had for a business like this because this was very unorganized and flaky. Horrible. Carla has AMAZING costumer service, but unfortunately she has no power to help her costumers as much as she tries. So BOO to the MANAGER and his horrible service! My family moved so we canceled the trashcans, but the house is still on the market. Burrtec removed all 3 of the trashcans and said we were going to get refunded for the months that we already paid. We received the bill stating that we were going to get refunded but someone had put us back on. I called. They said that because Fontana has to have trashcans (it's not optional), we needed to pay for them. It was a back and forth conversation for several weeks. We stated that why should we pay for trashcans when 1) We don't live there anymore 2) We didn't even have the trashcans because you guys took it away. They kept on telling me that they needed to follow some particular guidelines. So I was like, okay fine, let me send you proof. I had sent them the ad that the house is on the market, along with our utility bill. They said they could only refund us for 1 month because the other month was a little higher. I was like.. oh man. Well how about half the second month because you know what.. WE DON'T EVEN HAVE THE TRASHCANS! I swear I have called them more than 10 times already, emailed several different times, and had wanted to speak to the manager several times (he never even called me back). I hate having to be a rude, mean costumer that yells at costumer service when they don't get their way. BUT THIS WAS RIDICULOUS. I tried several times to be nice. My dad couldn't handle it anymore, I gave him the go to yell at them. He finally got in touch with the manager. He said they will give us the refund but it'll take 6-8 weeks to get to us!! So I might have to wait until MARCH 2016 for the refund check?? ABSURD! and who knows if they actually did it! Btw we canceled starting July 1st and now it's November! I don't understand why this was SUCH a huge hassle. Burrtec is a big company. I would've thought they would've had better costumer service. I mean, I felt that the employee's who I spoke to all felt we did the right steps to cancel, they tried to help. It was the manager who doesn't know how to care about his costumers and avoided the confrontation. BTW Burrtec needs to hire an assistant manager or another manager, so when the horrible one isn't available, there's someone else who has the lead. Instead of constantly telling me that he's out, he's busy, he'll call you back. Then after weeks of this bs, I never received a call back from either the costumer service department or the manager.
