Kids and I decided to start recycling. ( they want to start saving money for vacation ) Search on Yelp for a recycling center. Decided on Mega Recycling. As a newbie driving up to park and seeing so much activities among the employees and customers both busy with the task at hand , can be a little nerve wrecking for me and my kids. We didn't know what to do and how to actually sort different type of materials. We figured we just follow the crowd, and scan the premise for labels and signage . First grab your self a few garbage container provided to sort : 1 container for plastic bottles ; 1 for clear glass ; separate by colors of glass in its own container. 1 for large plastic bottles like milk, juice containers ( anything over 24 oz) etc. Seems like this place takes anything that can be recycled. I wouldn't say it's the cleanest or the most organized facility. What does one expect ? The employees we encountered during this visit are friendly, answered my questions . They will have some one to assist with large items. My Tip: wear a pair of gloves , don't be discouraged the line goes by pretty quickly, prepare to show your ID. read more

First time visiting a couple weeks ago and good place to recycle. They take pretty much everything and anything, so long as you segregate your recyclables. Not real conducive for kids, but overall good alternative to go to. Parking and drive through are not the easiest to get through. Have to be careful of all the people walking back and forth, but will re-visit and continue to use this recycling center. read more

This place is the biggest rip off I've ever been too, ask any big time local scrapper and they will all say the same thing "Mega Recycling is the biggest rip off around" they pay you less for almost everything. They pay less than half the price for brass than best value recycling. They pay a dollar less for copper most days, they never give you the proper price for your metal. Always copper #2 price for big thick bright and shiny copper even when you separate it and put it in different barrels they try to lump it all to the lowest price they can. Worst experience ever! My wife and I went there to cash out our aluminum cans and pet plastic cans. We took a competitors coupon and they did not validated it. We got ripped off about $14. Last time coming here. It is not worth our sweat, to be getting ripped off. We where suppose get paid with the coupon $2.03 the pound of aluminum and instead they paid us $1.61. Be careful people with these place pay close attention to the numbers in the scale. read more
