Most recycling yards I've been to, the workers are unfriendly and unkind, and will have no qualms about giving you the least amount of money as possible--even arguing with you about a bottle being CRV or not, or why one of your plastic bottles in the bin still has a cap on. Not here. Everyone here is friendly, they get you in, out, and paid quickly. And their prices are very good. This is my go-to place from now on. read more

The prices here are great! It's one of the reason I drive out here to sell my recyclables. They buy a ton of stuff including your usual aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and glass bottles. Buy they basically buy all things metal. They have a magnet up front at the weight station just to make sure it's a metal. I've sold old refrigerators, boilers, A/Cs, old pipes, and the usual recyclables. One warning: they have a lot of bees! But dont worry, they are harmless. They are just attracted to your cans and bottles because of their lingering sweet soda or juice smells. They have basically become the recycling center's flies. No false advertisement here, they definitely gave the best value for your recyclables! I am very happy with this place. Been coming here since living in Fontana for 5 years. They will buy just about anything. I also like the fact that their location has plenty of parking and is kept clean. The staff here is very kind and helpful. Won't be back, and beware. I came in with about 90 lbs of foot-crushed aluminum cans that I had saved up for quite a while, expecting to cash in on a good coupon price. The attendant inspected all 4 barrels filled with cans, complaining that I had crushed some of the cans in such a way that the CRV label couldn't be read. Out of thousands of cans, he found 2 (!) which were not CRV. After all of this, he rejected my load, explaining that the State's inspectors had been tough on them lately. He did not offer to help me re-bag my cans. My load of cans was clean, and I didn't deserve this treatment. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. They do not honor coupons printed from their own website. I recycle a truck load of bottles, cans & glass every 3 or 4 months. My husband brought our recycling here awhile ago by himself and got a good amount for them. We brought them together a few weeks ago and (according to my husband) we got ripped off. We had the same weight amount as the last time he brought our plastic yet got half the amount. Doesn't make sense. Guess they pick and chose who they are going to rip off. This will be my second rating for this recycling place. The scales seem to be off as I had a full container of CRUSHED cans at the house which weighed about 40 lbs and when they put it on the scales it only weighed 18.6 lbs. I also had a coupon for aluminum cans printed from their website which stated $2.12 per lb. They paid me $2.05 per lb. For 18.6 lbs that is only a $1.30, not much and even if the weight had been 40 the difference would have only been $2.80. If this is done for every customer then it would amount to a lot of money per week being raked in by someone at this recycling place. Californians already get taken for a bundle because the price paid by the recycling places is [not sure] probably about 1/2 half of what you pay in the store at the register. After reading some of the reviews here I believe that either the owners/ operators know their employees are stealing from the customers or they just turn a blind eye to what is going on. They do offer the best prices locally but I think that is a draw to help the employees get extra cash by stealing it from the customers. Word to the wise, weigh your stuff before going here and check each barrel weight and write it down so that you can check it against the printed ticket. read more

First time here and I was pretty happy with everything. Prices are better then most places and the process was rather easy. You arrive and park in their private parking lot, grab as many rolling bins as you need and then fill them up with your recyclables (must be sorted, plastic in 1 bin, glass in another, etc.) then you take your bins to the weighing station and they weigh your recyclables, once they are done they ask for your drivers license, input your name into the system and then you go to the office window to collect your money. I went on a Friday around 2pm and there were quite a few people there but the process moves pretty quickly. I would definitely refer people here. read more

First I understand that PENNY SAVER has gone out of business and BEST VALUE RECYCLING, FONTANA is no longer honoring PENNY SAVER Coupons, I understand all that. Second, if you go to the BEST VALUE RECYCLING CENTER .COM you will see that they offer their own coupons for crv aluminum, plastic, and glass. Third, the guy doing the weight in & the girl @ the cash window kept insisting that my digital coupon was from PENNY SAVER, even after I showed them their web page on my phone. Nowhere on that page do the words PENNY SAVER appear. Bottom line: the associates @ B.V.RECY.CT are not aware of the contents of their companys web page, and I'm out 77cts. Will I return? Who would think to write a review for a recycling center. I came here two days in a row because my recycling items didn't fit in my car. Both days I had a really good experience. First off, you do need to sort everything carefully. I sometimes have trouble getting the juice and ice tea containers in the right bucket. Today they had an extra person walking through the parking lot helping those in need so it would take less time waiting in line. Vicente S was VERY HELPFUL!!! He got an extra bucket for the one plastic category I had categorized wrong. He sorted them and helped push everything to the waiting line. He was happy and friendly as he did his job. Every employee was hard working, knowledgeable about their policies, and professional in dealing with those in line. Once they got my name I walked upstairs to a small trailer window for my cash. The lady inside was also very kind. I go here because it is close to my work. If you need to recycle this is a great place. read more
