I At that time I Only Noticed that one basket of glass was missing. I promptly discovered it and found him, he made up for it with a receipt. Not long after I found the amount of the money was incorrect , I carefully checked the receipt and discovered that at least two baskets of plastic were missing.Moreover a full basket of flattened aluminum cans was about the same weight as the half basket of aluminum cans one weighing over 7 pounds the other over pounds.The next day when I went to point out that the weights of the two baskets of aluminum cans were obviously incorrect! He refused to admit it!!! At that time ,someone was selling the uncompressed aluminum cans and uncompressed plastic,I took a look at the receipt details of the person and found their weight was almost the same as the uncompressed aluminum cans and plastic I sold last Saturday!!!I immediately pointed out this matter to the young man who collected waste! but he stammered and was vague! Recently I moved to Norco and was excited to find out they had a branch nearby in Riverside. I loaded up my CRV glass and plastic and headed towards their yard. When I got there , I found the customary barrels pulled a couple over to my truck and started to unload my glass. Before I got too far along in my unloading, one of the workers came over and said we don't take CRV glass or plastic here. I was shocked. When I was looking for this place on Yelp, it didn't come up as Main Street Recycling Center. It came up as Main Street Fibers which I find odd because what does fibers have to do with recycling LOL. Anyway, this center is located on Main Street, hence, the biz name. There are two sides to it... one for cardboard and another for cans/plastic bottles... btw, they are on opposite sides of the street. There is street parking available. Upon arrival, I drove onto the scale to have the vehicle weighed. Soon after, the nice gentleman handed us a receipt with the # of lbs on it. Then I drove to the area where we drop off the cardboard. Just drive close enough to the big pile of cardboard and place your cardboard on the ground. They will take care of the rest. Afterwards, I drove back on the scale to have the vehicle weighed again and handed the receipt to the same nice gentleman so he can write the weight of vehicle without the cardboard. Lastly, I drove my Mom to the other side so she can get paid. As of 09/21/2024, it's currently $85 per ton of cardboard (2,000 lbs per ton). Price is subject to change. It was an interesting experience. I've been to one other cardboard recycling center. They operate about the same as this place except they do not give out the receipt with lbs written on it. All in all this is a good place to recycle your recyclables.
