Have been meaning to try out Burrito Express and tonight was the night! There was only one car in front of me for the Drive Thru and I waited about 10 minutes from start to finish. Very quick and straight to the point service. They do charge an extra 3% for credit card use, but nothing for cash or debit. I ordered a Carne Asada and Adobada Burrito. Don't forget to ask for salsa too! To preface, I used to live in San Diego, so I do know my bias runs deep out here in Colorado. That being said, Burrito Express was pretty good. The burritos were flavorful and hot. The salsas (red and green) had a great spice level and smooth consistency for easy pouring. The only thing that brought them down for me would be that the guac was not fresh. It had that slightly brownish green color that would indicate it had been sitting for a bit and had a super smooth texture like the kind that comes out of a bag. Not ideal, but maybe that is how they keep their prices reasonable. Although, I would much prefer paying more for legitimate guac. Overall, I would try Burrito Express again to see how some of their other items are. It's a decent option if you've got a craving for Mexican Food around the area.

This uses to be one of my go to spots back in high school and for me to still come here every now and then is a testament to the taste and flavors of their food. Though they offer many different kinds of burritos and tacos, theor forte has always been their breakfast burritos. My favorite one that I have always ordered is the number 4 burrito, which includes steak, egg, chorizo and cheese. Everything is made fresh on the grill and the taste is great. Each burrito is served with a red or green sauce/salsa that greatly adds to the overall flavor. The staff at the restaurant has always been pleasant and nice and the inside is always clean and makes for a nice spot to grab a quick brunch or lunch. There are 2 reasons I give this place 3 stars. The first is it's name. Though it's called Burrito Express, if you're looking for express service and food to be delivered quickly to you, this has never been the place for that. It's always a little slow here. Secondly, I ordered 3 burritos, over 30 dollars in food, and when I went to pay with my credit card, I was charged an additional 3% surcharge for using a card because my order was too low in value. I find this extremely cheap of this restaurant, especially if $30 in food is too small of an order to have this waived. They did not used to do this either. This will definitely affect how often I come here moving forward. There are plenty of breakfast burrito places nearby that do not nickel and dime there customers like this with just as tasty of food

I've been coming to burrito express for a long time now, and it's safe to say the quality has decreased in the past few years. Today my carnitas burrito had dry, almost hard meat in it. The carnitas weren't flavorful like usual. My tortilla was not fresh. The burritos are still nice and big and the salsa is tasty but $27 for two mid burritos is not worth it.

Carne Asada Burrito + Sour Cream + French Fries = California Burrito. This place is great. Come here a couple times a month for the bean burrito and cali burrito. Is getting more expensive but the food is great so I think it's worth it.

A friend of mine texted me on my way to work to get a burrito for him and since it's kind of on my way, I obliged. I used to eat here frequently during lunch but I can't eat Mexican to include Taco Bell without breaking out in hives. I can't afford the $15 per food allergy to find out what exactly so I just avoid it. The food is bomb and service is never slow. It's tucked away into a non-descript strip mall on Alameda. I have never been here without a line and there are tons of Mexican places to choose from in the area. Although they specialize in burritos, they do have a few other options as well but I only ever ate a shrimp burrito.

Food I didn't order. But will eat because that's my only option.

Service is awful if you can even get anyone to acknowledge you. The food is very average and not worth what they are charging.

This place is the CATS MEOW. Look no further than Burrito Express for the best Mexican food I've had in Denver!

A three percent credit card fee. I despise credit card fees and often avoid places that charge them. Aside from the two points I made above, this restaurant was fantastic. I received a fifty percent off coupon in the Money Nailer and decided to give it a shot. I invited my brother in law and headed over. Plentiful and close in parking. The outside of the building is rather basic but the inside is nothing but vibrant colors and beautiful decorations. The color schemes really worked for me. We were seated within a minute of walking in the door and had chips and salsa thirty seconds later. Our drink order was taken immediately and the woman taking the order was friendly and pleasant. Our waiter, showed up a few minutes later and took our order. I ordered the fish taco salad and my brother in law ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp fajitas. Both meals showed up in about 15 minutes and were piping hot and fresh. I could hear the fajitas sizzling for a full two minutes. My fish taco salad was amazing and I enjoyed every bite. The bacon wrapped shrimp fajitas looked and smelled incredible. My brother in law said they tasted as good as they smelled and looked. We also shared a shrimp cocktail that knocked my panties off. Or, would have, had I been wearing any. LoL. This was a great lunch and I will happily return. I really hope they read this and clean the menus. Very unattractive.

It is decorated well and always so clean, very impressed! My dad, who isn't much of a drinker, always orders a frozen concoction because "they know how to make them right"! I'll admit, I have had not so great meal once before and yet it wasn't horrible in any way. The Grilled Chicken Breast (Pollo Asada) dish I had the past Friday was indeed nowhere near disappointing. Although the meat wasn't super tender, the overall flavor and seasoning on everything was simply just right. The portion (not to mention) was generous as well (they included 4 pieces of corn tortillas for me!!) The ambiance is that of the family-owned old-time diner feel; some may say it's a bit outdated and yet I can easily call that "old-fashioned" in a good way. I have never found it dirty or messy ever. It's a bit out of the way for me (from my DTC house) and yet I choose Jaime's if/when I see fit. My good friend who lives only a few minutes from it cherishes this place. I thus support Jaime's!!

It's also very unassuming. It looks like a very small restaurant on the outside but once you are inside, you'll be shocked to see its good size dining area. This place is all about happiness. I mean seriously!! They care about their customers that get satisfied with their service and meals. And it does draw a very diverse crowd from the Hispanics to Caucasians to Asians, I mean you name it. They also get a lot of to-go orders. Some people came in, grabbed their food and went on their way for the night. My friend got the Torta Los Carboncito. This is a massive sandwich with plenty of meat inside. Since the menu has colored picofor almost each item, what caught my attention was the fish dish. There are two of them: one is trout and the other is something else (I forgot) but I got me the non-trout one. The lady asked me if I wanted the flour or corn tortillas so I went with the corn one. As soon as I got home, my late night snacking started. I only took several bites out of that whatever the huge fish. And oh my goodness, it was so delicious! Well-seasoned with very light salt. Although I mainly got it for tomorrow morning/lunch I had a hard time quit eating because of its deliciousness. Extremely welcoming staff (I even met the owner, Alex as he was dining with his family), quality food and value pricing, this place checks out for the hidden gem restaurant that's not necessarily super fancy but it's worth every penny and time. Yelping is so much fun. That is why I cannot quit my foodie-ness! What a nice discovery!
