Burnley Post Office is at the back of the WHSmith store at Charterwalk in Burnley town centre, it is OK, although I do tend to prefer standalone Post Office locations, I do understand why they are trying to push and grow their network of stores which piggy-back of a store, mainly WHSmith. There weren't any automated machines, it was manned counters only, luckily the queues did seem to move pretty quickly with a good amount of staff members working, there wasn't too much space between the desks though, so a slight lack of privacy. The full counter operation meant I had to push my mail down a slot, I thought these had been phased out as I find them a little annoying compared to passing them over a high counter or mini parcel lift. Opening hours are pretty standard, they were advertising Sunday opening in the store however the hours advertised online were considerably difference, so that does need to be clarified. 3* - Average Post Office, nothing too special, would have been nicer to see a greater deal of technology or even a Post Box in the store, the selection of posting materials was good.
