The owner and staff trainers have been incredibly supportive of everyone's fitness and their goals. They're all just a great group of professionals! The classes are challenging and addictive and always dynamically different each week. The week is distributed with classes targeting the same muscle groups on a weekly basis. Lots of classes are offered each day, and signing up for classes is super easy using their app. I really like the consistency they've upheld over the last three years. They also offer personal training packages and open gym rates which I would recommend if you are considering that. The classes are easily set up for all experience and skill levels to ensure you'll meet you're individual goals. Whether it's weight lost, muscle gain, recovery, you name it. I've seen so many fellow members reach amazing goals and transformations. We're all very supportive of each other too. We're all in it to improve our health and well being and this place really knows how to inspire and make it happen!

I enjoy the dark room, where they always play a movie. It makes my workout feel more private, & helps me regulate when I'm feeling overstimulated. I also like the outdoor weight area. It's never as crowded as the indoor area. I also like that you can feel the fresh air while working out.

In the last year, I have trained 2 - 3 times weekly with Derick Zak, who is one of the most knowledgeable trainers I have worked with. I have a few physical challenges (shoulder, heel, back) and Coach Zak always has an effective modification and/or accommodation of a typical exercise that would otherwise be ineffective, or possibly harmful, for me to do. Coach Zak is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and studied Exercise Science in graduate school at FAU. Joining a gym was not appealing, so I decided private training sessions would be worth the investment to successfully support my health and weight management goals. I was grateful to find Pilates and Fitness in Powell, and when I met the owner...I was sold. Sarah is my training angel! She's an incredibly knowledgeable trainer who is focused, smart, funny and kind. Her deep understanding of exercise and the body's reaction to movement continues to amaze me. She's non-judgmental and simply wants to help her clients be and do their best. My 1:1 workouts with Sarah are designed for my abilities and goals and are varied, appropriately challenging, and interesting. I quickly gained confidence and she was able to accommodate and support some physical issues that remained from a major surgery. I do both Pilates (on a real Reformer, love it) and fitness workouts during the same session. Sarah walks the talk--she's in phenomenal shape herself but understands that after a certain age (ahem) bodies do change. I've been training with Sarah for the last year and a half and can't recommend her highly enough.
