Plus the staff is really nice and they know me by name. That is pretty cool! They have beginner packages that are super affordable. The other packages are flexible and they have enough choices to fit your budget and needs. Give them a try, the first class is free! Seya Wednesday night!

To kick off their grand opening they offered free classes for the entire week. They offer personal training, boxing, yoga, trx, weight loss, and boot camp classes. The gym is very open and the public walking by can see everything that is going on inside. The thought of being a window display for mall walkers terrified me and almost made me turn around before walking in. I am glad I didn't though and gave it a try. The employees were friendly and our trainer teaching the TRX class was welcoming and made us all feel comfortable. After warming up I didn't even notice the people walking by and was too focused on the workout to pay attention to anything else. I am not a fan of going to group classes and often feel like I get a better workout by myself, but the small class sizes (12 people) didn't allow for any slacking off or feeling like you didn't know what was going on. Classes run $15 a class and I will definitely like to be put on display there again :)

Mary did such a phenomenal job making me feel welcomed I signed up. I recently moved back to Akron after living in Arizona for ten years. I've been a member simultaneously at different gyms for various reasons. I must say Personalized Wellness Center holds up with the best of them. After being a member for two weeks at PWC and coming in at different times here is my sincere review. 1. PWC has a nutrition bar where they make fresh smoothies and offer supplements. (get a fresh smoothie after/before working out) 2. PWC is open 24/7 so you can work out at your convenience. 3.PWC has free weights, bicycles, treadmills, ellipticals, a track and a ton of machines. 4.PWC also has a daycare for kids,a rehabilitation center and also personal trainers. 5. PWC has a practical and reasonable monthly subscription 6.Mature crowd 7.Sauna I've been to gyms on the west coast were you pay $129 a month and gym's were you pay $19 a month. It's the same workout, whether you pay 10k for a rolex or ten dollars for a timex they both tell the same time. The more expensive gym's, yes did have newer equipment, fancier tv's, state of the art sound systems, big smoothie and supplement stores. At the end of the day your body & health transformation depends on YOU!! You have to go into the gym you have to lift the weights, you have to get on the treadmill and you have to want it. Typically not always but typically those big "franchised gyms' it's more of a social hour and people wearing too much cologne/perfume. That doesn't happen at PWC I highly recommend PWC it has everything a big franchise gym has but yet gives you the at home feel

The class was challenging but not impossible with a lot of alternate posses for a non flexible, no balance, and out of shape person. Instead of what I thought would be gongs and elevator music in the background, I was serenely lured into a zen like state by the boss, u2, and other classics. I didn't levitate but I'm thinking maybe next time. If you are looking for a fun class, with an instructor truly looking to help people I recommend this class. I am not really sure how these classes are suppose to go but I had fun and can definitely feel it the next day.

I explored my options and realized that I would like something between one on one training sessions and large group classes. I had a friend refer me over to Functional Fitness and I have been extremely please with it ever since day one (mind you I'm only a few weeks in). The classes I've taken range from small to medium sized, so it's still personal enough that Jermail or Justin are able to correct you if you are making a mistake and notice improvements. It's a great 45 minute workout and I would recommend it to anyone. If I could tell anyone looking into this gym one thing, it would be that when you go to drive and find it, it's in the back of the Warren Plaza, next to Anytime Fitness. There is a metal door with a magnet/sign on it. Hard to miss the first time you go.

None of them had a central focus other than cardio, or maybe weight lifting etc. Alloy Personal Fitness in Fairlawn looks at the individual and tailored a program for me. The best test for your current fitness status is a DEXA SCAN (1-2% error rate) which evaluates your fat percentage, lean muscle mass, and visceral fat using low-dose X-ray. Alloy uses "InBody" (3-4% error rate) machine. InBody provides an electrical scan using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to estimate segmented body composition analysis. I've never been to a gym/trainer that provides you with this analysis and helps you tailor a fitness/strength training program to fit your goals. The training staff here is educated and focused on seeing you meet your goals. This place wants you to return every week and misses you when you're not there. I encourage anyone that wants to improve their mobility, balance, stamina, strength and overall fitness needs to check this place out.
