I took advantage of their free class while in search of a new gym with my friend. The positive energy is palatable. They reserved lockers for us with our names and gave us a run down on what to expect. It was an hour of strength training, climbing hills on the treadmill, and water rowing. I received the in-body composition summary to start and the post workout summary. The complimentary heart monitors we were given were transparent about the effort we put in. (10 bucks to rent as a member though). While I'm not fully committing as I gym hop and weigh all my fitness options, Orangetheory is def at the top!

When I first started at OTF, I never would have imagined I'd be running a marathon--let alone going from the couch to completing a full marathon in less than two years. Danielle has a unique ability to push you beyond what you think you're capable of. She's constantly encouraging me to run faster, challenge my limits, and trust the process, even on the days when I doubt myself. Her energy, positivity, and belief in her members make all the difference. What I appreciate most is that she knows exactly when to push and when to encourage. She celebrates every win, big or small, and genuinely cares about helping people achieve their goals. Thanks to her coaching, I've become stronger, faster, and more confident than I ever thought possible. And I have to mention her playlists--they are hands down the best! Somehow she always picks the perfect music to keep the energy high and make those tough pushes feel just a little easier. If you've ever taken one of Danielle's classes, you know she's something special. OTF is lucky to have her, and I'm incredibly grateful for everything she's done to help me reach milestones I once thought were impossible.

They've since updated their equipment and their flooring, which is awesome. At the time that I attended, there was no open gym, which I know lots of people need to fit in a workout during the day. There's also no showers, so you can't wash after working out and head to work. But the owners are super sweet and down to earth, and so are the trainers. Hitting the stairs in hyde park heading to car was such a task. The reformer is operated from both ends, there are multiple gadgets to alter the tension on the pulley. There is also gadgets to help with modifications. There are optional weights. The room is pretty dark with cool neon blue lights, sort of help with focus. I do feel like half way through, the AC could've been pumped up a bit. I'd suggest wearing no socks, unless grippers and long leggings because the leather on the reformer can get slippery from sweat and you know other people's sweat to consider from previous classes - though there are wipes! There's no actual demonstrations, so be sure to listen to the instructions verbally being stated. As a first timer, it took a while to understand some of the names of the pieces of the reformers but Jodi, our instructor, was motivating, energetic, and helped assist when necessary. No idea how she did all at once lol Jodi had a great playlist as well. There is a code emailed to those schedule for the class because the door stays lock for safety. There are lockers for your things - I didn't know how to work it, so I, like many, brought there things in the room and stored it under the reformer and out the way. The bathroom has all the necessities - spray deodorant, tampons, hair supplies, and more.
