The week after I started training and I could not believe the workouts were not only fun but very enjoyable and effective and did I mention only 30 minutes ( I normally trained for an hour on my own ) Their unique 30 minute approach was more than enough for me and after my 2 months with shape fitness I actually lost 10 lbs as welll as body fat I look better leaving I am sooo ! happy And found my vacation not only fun but very rewarding And want thank shape fitness for making my trip to nyc one of the best vacations as well as one of the best fitness experiences Not only would I highly recommend shape fitness but encourage anyone looking for a fitness professional To try them out Thank you Paola @ Ray Dee

I had a really disappointing experience in this Pure Barre class, mainly because of how rude the…read moreinstructor Jocelyn was. From the moment class started, her tone felt dismissive and unwelcoming. When I asked a simple question, I was met with a short, irritated response instead of helpful guidance. Throughout the class, the instructor came across as impatient and uninterested in supporting anyone who was new. She was too busy on her phone and got to class late. I almost assume the gym was closed. There was little to no effort to correct form or ensure people were doing movements safely, which is especially concerning in a barre workout. The overall vibe felt uncomfortable and almost intimidating rather than encouraging. A fitness class should be a positive, supportive environment, and this was the complete opposite. I won't be returning for any of Jocelyn's classes. Now I know why the class was empty and out of 4 people that was there 3 left after her rudeness. On the other hand Karina is an amazing instructor!

They keep their class size small to provide individual attention. I had gained a lot of weight due to the stress and cortisol that was released in my body along with not getting much good sleep at all for months. I knew my son would want me to grab a hold of my life and get things a bit back on track. I interviewed a few people and once I talked with Dara over a phone consultation I knew she was the perfect person to help me. I am now 3 months in and am the strongest I have been in years thanks to our strength training. I can lift my own luggage up into the overhead bin with no soreness. I can get up and down stairs fantastically now (even though I had a partial knee replacement 2 years ago). My mental health is more aligned with my goals of navigating this grief journey with moments of joy along with sadness. Dara is fantastic at adapting my workouts to my limitations and age. I know that the clothes will fit better and better as I continue the good work with her. I feel that if I had not had 6 additional deaths since the loss of my son eight months ago that I would be even further along in my toning and conditioning; however having to fly to funerals has set me back but Dara stays right by me, coaching me along, and being my biggest cheerleader and advocate. At the age of 63, I have made the best investment in myself that I could possibly make at this time. Her in-home studio is filled with all types of equipment so that my workouts are varied and effective. Her outside studio is fun to tackle on the Florida days that allow outside workouts.
