Do you remember when Burlington was just a coat factory? Yeah, me neither. I seem to always remember clothing and other accessories available. This location is perfect for those folks that love to clothes shop. You know they have coats and other clothing. Didja know they offer beauty supplies, home decor items and snacks and other goodies? Plus, this is another spot where we buy phone chargers (since Mrs. E. goes through them like there's no tomorrow). Our biggest problem was finding what we wanted. It's not well organized and anything worthwhile required a lot of searching. Especially, in our size or the right colour. Everything is in such disarray, we could clearly see the effects of their being understaffed. We managed to fill our list, but it took an hour. The worst part was our wait in line. I went to Burlington at 100 W. Kemper Road, Springdale, Ohio . Store Number: 866: The Cashier was Arianna at Register 1. The service was horrible and the wait was too long. I stood in line for 20 minutes or longer. Arianna looked Hispanic and was waiting on another Hispanic customer ahead of me which took forever. While Arianna was at the cash register, there were 3 other employees, 2 other Hispanic women and a black man around the cash register doing nothing. They were neither courteous and displayed no customer service skills. No one said, someone will be with you in a moment. They look at me and continued talking with each other. There was 1 other customer in line. When I was called to Arianna's register, there was no apology for the wait. I addressed the issue of the 3' standing around 4 vacant registers doing nothing. The excuse was that one of the cashier was off the clock. The supervisor didn't ask her to wait on me but as I addressed the issue, the cashier who was allegedly off work, was asked to go to Register 2 and wait on other Hispanic customers. I told them that they were racist. The other cashier called another customer to her register and look at Arianna with a smirk on her face to say how you do like that. I wanted to put a couple of items in layaway. Arianna said that they stopped taking layaways but the layaway signs were still posted on the racks. I asked if I could put my coat on hold, Arianna said no. To add insult to injury, upon my departure, Arianna left the device on my coat that set off the store alarm. Kaitlyn another employee had to check my bag and take it back to Arianna to be removed. In addition, Arianna put my large coat into a smal thel bag. Kaitlyn was trying to force the coat in the bag and realized the bag was too small. I asked her to get a larger bag. Kaitlyn was very kind and very professional. I have never had a problem with the value of any products. I almost left everything at the store with the poor service but I really wanted the items. Because of Kaitlyn's kindness made a difference. I did call the corporate office to tell them about my horrible experience. The representative was very nice and took down my complaint and said she would pass on the information. It has been my experience that if your in this store standing looking for too long a staff will walk up stare at you. Then walk bye again several times. No one wants to steal cheap clothes, shoes or steal any decor from a one step away from being a thrift store!!!!! how insulting read more

I used to love checking out the Burlington in Tri-County. I always found brand name items that were deeply discounted. I was there today and the store is full of junk. They have decreased the size of the store, moved the changing rooms to the front of the store, they almost look like odd pay phone booths. The clothes are all bottom of the barrel cheap crap. Don't get me started in the show selection. I won't be going back. read more

A 'coat factory' with only three racks of coats? Yes Folks that's right, Burlington COAT Factory does not stock coats. After wondering around the enormous retail floor, that looked frighteningly like a Goodwill resale shop, I stumbled onto the meager selection of coats that were hidden in the rear of the store. Was looking for a spring trench & all they had were a few sad looking winter jackets, which I find very odd & misleading. Recommendation: shop online or perhaps go to Goodwill instead. read more

LOVE the selection online. the physical store inventory i was not too crazy about. Maybe because it is a new store and there have been alot of sales for the holiday there were slim pickins of clothes. Although it is a convenient location and they have a yummy collection of purses at a great price!..I was disappointed in their shoe department as well. But for the thrifty, they do have layaway so that is great for the holidays in this economy! read more

I have always really liked this store when shopping for clothes, they have great deals and a lot of options. I went with my fiance's mother the other day to browse a bit and was looking for toys for my daughter's birthday coming up next week. They have so much to choose from when it comes to baby clothes and furniture, but I was a little disappointed in the toys. Don't get me wrong folks, they have some, but I felt like not many were for the appropriate age my daughter will be. She will be one next week and all their toys were for either newborns or kids about three and up. Although I couldn't find any toys for her, I did find some clothes, so I was happy with that. I will say as a piece of advice for their employees though, you might want to watch the toy aisles a little bit better. While I was there, there was a woman with her two small daughters shopping in the store. However, this woman paid no attention to her kids and didn't make sure they were with her or were behaving. I watched as these girls opened and played with a least seven different toys in the toy aisle and I found it appalling that when the mom would catch them opening these products all she would do is yell at them and walk away. Then the children would go back to opening another toy and running around with it. I put this on here because I usually love the employees and service I receive here. This is not a criticism to anyone who works there, but just a warning that you might need some extra people keeping an eye out for things like this. read more

This BCF used to be located in the Cincinnati Mall; now they're located near TriCounty Mall. I generally go here when I'm looking for a deal on coats and baby clothes. I don't have the patience to search through racks of clothing for myself or the hubs, though I do have to say it's better organized by clothes item than a TJ Maxx or Marshalls. I had a fantastic customer service experience today though. I was looking for a coat in a larger size and she personally helped me locate, call, and secure a coat from another store. They're even going to ship it to me (for a small fee), since this other store is located just too far away from me to make it feasible. The manager stayed on the line, arranging everything for me, giving me her best customer service even though she was clearly understaffed. That would have to be my one complaint...they need more employees, but on the other hand, that may be one way in which they are able to keep costs low... read more
