We are here a lot for the Lowe's store as well as occasionally the Macy's. And also for Big Lots on the north side. The restaurants have come and gone, but there are a few we like and patronize -- the fish and shrimp one and the middle eastern one to cite a couple. And the Burlington and TJ Maxx stores that were recently added are also a draw. It is our town mall, so we are happy it's now on the up side. They even have a number of outbuildings with businesses and restaurants and signs saying more are coming soon. Here's to supporting local businesses!

Broward County has set up the parking lot to be a drive thru vaccination site. County and city officials along with volunteers are working along with the mall security department to keep this site secure and organized. I received both of my vaccinations here and I was pleasantly surprised at just how smooth the process was. Everyone worked together to get us in and out as quickly as possible. Security did an excellent job getting us in the correct lanes and making the lot easy to navigate. After the fifteen minute waiting period, they were there to guide us out in a safe manner. This location is conveniently located in the old Macy's parking lot. Located on the SW corner of Federal Highway and Copans Road.

Plus, if the store had what I needed, it would save me shipping costs and wait time. There weren't many staff visible in the store, either. But I did find someone to put me in the right direction of the section of the store that I was seeking. I wandered around browsing the merchandise. At no time was anyone nearby to offer any help or to answer any questions. That turned out to be okay, as they had a similar brand, but not the ones that they claimed they carried in-store. And this other brand didn't have the features I desired. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to buy the items that I needed here. Again, this isn't a place that I normally shop. And I see that others don't either. I do have memories of this store being here way back when the mall was a different configuration within an enclosed set up. My only issue was trying to find some items. One item was fig spread or jelly another was oil. The aisle are long with so many items in them. A small sign is on top, but it has a few things listed, not all. staff is not trained well to where things are. Twice I was given the wrong aisle number. What can I say. I got my steps today. Businesses slated to open include Costco, Sports & Social, and PBR Cowboy Bar. There will also be office space and luxury hotels. Pompano Beach has lacked a downtown and a centralized, mixed use centers like other towns have. The Pomp will create jobs and a place where people can come together for food, entertainment, work, and to live. So far it is off to a great start.

Although on the smaller size, the plaza is clean and well maintained and it has a great mix of dining, shopping, and services.
