This wasn't done with humor and I was stunned. This isn't a complaint about the morality of my diet, this is an employee straight up mistreating a customer for no apparent reason. I spent several hundred dollars on Christmas gifts and also…read morereceived Kohls cash, which I used on subsequent Christmas shopping over about four weeks prior to Christmas. After Christmas, I tried to return five items and happily take a store credit, but was told that "we don't do that anymore". Instead, I was told that since the Kohls cash was used already, the amount of the "cash" would be deducted from my return. Previously, Kohls used to give a patron the option of either taking a store credit for the amount of the return (so you'd spend the money in Kohls, which was fair since the Kohls cash was used already) and then also keep the benefit of the Kohls cash, or get a full refund with the already spent Kohls cash deducted from the return. Believe me when I say, I was not happy with this. I truly was shocked. At first I thought the girl must be new and didn't understand. Why should I lose money? I was happy to take a store credit and spend the money in Kohls. However, they stopped doing that and expect the customer to take the hit by having the Kohls cash deducted from the refund. A manager came over and repeated the same spiel as the clerk. She said they changed their policy three years ago, which is a lie anyway. I said then that I was changing where I would be shopping in the future because the games that Kohls plays with their sales and Kohls cash is a waste of my time. I saw a flash of agreement on her face, but she was loyal to corporate. She couldn't override their "system", but gave me the rest of my refund by deducting money off another purchase. I stood my ground and threatened to call corporate and complain. I wasted valuable time advocating for my pocket book. I know customers behind me heard my complaints too. If I had been a little mouse and not spoken up, Kohls would have stolen $25. from me, which was so dumb of them because I was happy to take a credit and spend it in their store. Needless to say, Macy's and JCPenny are offering great deals and lots of coupons too, so Kohls isn't going to be my first choice for shopping and their "Kohls cash" deals aren't going to draw me into the store anymore. Its not worth the aggravation unless you are absolutely sure you're keeping the items before using the Kohls cash.

They now only have one area for checkout and they also did away with customer service for returns so if you are returning you are stuck on the line. I tried to go on a Monday morning to avoid lines and it was horrible with only 1 register open. I think I am done with this store.

I also think the quality of these small electronic items is better here. I know all about that one dude in the corner of your circle of friends that you just can't seem to shrug away and he's always there, lurking. And yet, as the reality of his dependability grows on you, you just can't seem to truly commit yourself, thinking that there is something better around the corner. Better styling. Better utilization of cloth. So you go out and end up spending more at the GAP or Banana Republic. Shoot, sometimes cheating at J. Crew. Old Navy eschews this old tradition by sticking behind Gap. The true wingman. Inexpensive clothing, that at times, is reflected in the way a skirt is missing lining, for example. Or a t-shirt marked down to $5.99 that seems slightly cheaper in fabric. Jeans that are affordable, but at the same time rather basic and not as long lasting. We do Old Navy clothing because it's there. It's dependable. Still cute. And most importantly, affordable. Yeah yeah, the same old story. Since I'm currently in Boston missing a few necessities, I ran over to this location within 15 minutes of closing and was delighted upon entrance. No, wait, ecstatic because I learned that their entire summer section was marked off at 40%! I grabbed three things and proceeded straight to the dressing rooms while the staff were busily preparing for shutting down. 1. A cute pure white shift dress with embroidery around the neckline and back that showcased my newly acquired tanned legs, regularly priced at $29.50 but at 40% off, came to $17.70. 2. A pair of black jersey drawstring pants marked at $14.99 that I needed in order to work out at the hotel. 3. A cute jersey navy t-shirt that has the logo "27" Fort Lauderdale vaguely stamped and on sale at $8.79. Something casual for my flight back home to go with my jeans. I walked out of Old Navy with three items for around $40, with tax. So you see, sometimes, that quiet unassuming one in the back can surprise you from time to time.

And yet somehow, not a single one was doing anything remotely helpful (except the slow cashier). I picked out a few things, grabbed some "no-show" socks, and headed to the register... where I ran into a family of five who appeared to be outfitting themselves for the end of days. The cashier was beeping items like she was stuck in a never-ending video game: beep. beep. beep. beep. beep. beep. It. Never. Stopped. beep. beep. beep. beep. Clothes just kept coming. I don't even know where from. Armpits? Pockets? Alternate dimensions?? Hangers were everywhere. And I'm standing there like a mannequin with a pulse, watching this whole saga unfold. And here's the kicker: ONE cashier. Literally no one else even glanced my way. Like... hello? To the three or four employees pretending to do things out on the floor--come check me out. I exist. I have socks. After nearly ten minutes of standing there, I laid my stuff on the earrings rack and I left. I only had an hour at the shopping center, and Old Navy stole ten minutes of it with their customer service void. Rude.

Bassy saved my wedding dress and my wedding day!…read more I had originally gone to another tailor recommended by the boutique where I purchased my strapless princess gown. Unfortunately, the work done at the other tailor's shop left my dress butchered. When I realized something was wrong with the original tailoring, it was two months before my wedding. I was distraught because I didn't think a new tailor would take me due to the limited time before my wedding and it being right before bridal and prom season. However, someone recommended I contact Bassy and I'm so grateful for their rec! Bassy listened to my concerns regarding my dress and what the other tailor had planned to do to it, advised me to take back my dress straight away, and booked me for an appointment ASAP. Within a week Bassy had me in her shop to assess all the damage that had been done by the previous tailor: (1) the hem was uneven by inches; (2) the train was lopsided; (3) the bustle was just a loop and a button that would be visible and unsecure; (4) the bodice was taken in so much that three people were needed to zip me up, which (5) left the zipper of my dress straining and puckering; (6) so much of the bust was trimmed away that my chest was exposed whenever I moved; and (7) they made a sash instead of the custom shawl I ordered for my ceremony. The worst part about the original tailoring work is that so much fabric was cut away there was barely any fabric left to correct the shoddy work. My dress was in really horrible shape and I knew I wouldn't be able to find or order another dress in time for my wedding. Despite the multiple problems with my dress, Bassy assured me she would find solutions for the above issues and she did! Bassy evened out the dress' hem by rehemming it and removing a portion of its petticoat to ensure it kissed the floor evenly. For the train, she adjusted it so it would be symmetrical and less oblong. It looked gorgeous trailing behind me as I walked down the aisle. The bodice was a tricky fix, but Bassy executed it perfectly! To expand the bodice, she needed extra fabric and found it within the seam allowance of the bodice's panels. She undid every panel, let out a little bit of fabric from each, and carefully stitched the bodice back up so that each panel was even and proportional. She was able to expand the bodice while also making it look like it hadn't been deconstructed. Bassy's work allowed me to properly breath while wearing my dress and my mother was able to zip me up by herself with no trouble! Bassy also created a custom shawl for me that looked like something Audrey Hepburn would wear! The attention to detail is so incredible! Bassy made the shawl so there was a slight curve in the front that elegantly hugs my collar bone. I love this shawl so much I plan to continue wearing it for special events. The most incredible fix Bassy made to my dress is the bust. I thought I'd have to wear my shawl the entire wedding. Instead, she came up with the incredible idea to build up the bust of my dress with additional fabric. The original bust had a cat eye neckline with draping across it. Bassy was able to expand the bust above my chest and next to my underarms to give me more coverage. She did this by building up fabric that mimics the original bustline's shape. The final result is beautiful! No one would ever know that the work Bassy did was not part of the dress' original design. I'm incredibly grateful for the amazing and transformative work Bassy did to my dress, her professionalism, her expert advice, and her direct and honest communication. She always set realistic expectations and provided alternative solutions that would not compromise the integrity of my dress or its overall style. Bassy is also just a lovely person to be around. I was really sad about the state my dress was left in by the previous tailor. With each visit to Bassy's (and she booked me for as many as needed to get my dress perfect), I felt better and more confident. Bassy saved my dress, my wedding, and my peace of mind. Bassy hemmed several pairs of pants, took in the waist on others, and completely altered a vintage dress for me. The dress needed extra room, and she expertly removed the belt and expanded the side seams so seamlessly that you would never be able to tell any alterations were made. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are absolutely unbelievable. Bassy is truly a talented artist, and her work speaks for itself. If you need tailoring or alterations done right, I cannot recommend her enough. Absolutely exceptional work!
