Never been to a Burlington store before (and was actually on my way to Nordstrom Rack when I saw this store lol), but a coworker always talked about how he used to live near a Burlington and got most of his stuff from there so I decided to go in not planning to buy anything. On first walking in, you run into a security tape/boundary that blocks off both the entrance and exits, but a security guard greets you and just opens up the security boundary to let you in (it put me off a little, but I guess they take security very seriously, plus the guard was friendly enough).
Honestly, wasn't planning on buying anything here since I dropped in on a whim on my way to get clothes at the Rack, kitchenware at Target and snacks/groceries at Safeway. To my surprise I found all the stuff I was looking for here at unbeatable prices, so wound up only going to one store instead of 3 and saved more money too. The clothes I bought would have been double/triple the price at the Rack, same with the kitchenware at Target. The snacks probably would have been around the same price at a grocery store but I saved so much time by getting all my shopping done here. Aside from the affordable prices, the store is pretty organized (a sectioned labeled with medium clothes actually just has medium size clothes unlike the Rack where what size a shelf/rack is labelled is almost meaningless). They keep the fitting room locked (has a drop down gate and everything, heavy security is a constant here) which requires you to get it unlocked by a clerk. There was nobody at the fitting room area when I got there, so had to wait a bit for clerk to drop by and open it.
The store is also very clean (I guess, we should thank security for that but it's also still a new store). If you need to use the bathroom, you will need to get security to unlock it. The bathroom was big and clean.
I really liked shopping here: it's a big store and the prices and deals are amazing. I don't mind the security of that's what it takes to keep it clean and organized. Probably the only downside is you can't go online to check on stock (apparently Burlington is completely out of the online shopping game). Their website is just a representation of what they might have rather than what's actually in stock and are geared for shoppers on the hunt for deals. So if you're planning to visit Burlington, you definitely need to set aside 1-2 hours in order to search through things.
Since my first shopping trip, I have already been back here twice lol, and got great stuff at very affordable prices both times. I will definitely keep coming back. read more
