I've shopped at Burlington for years and usually have a decent experience, but what happened to my family at the Jersey Gardens location on 6/25/25 was absolutely unacceptable. My aunt and uncle, who were visiting from out of the country, waited over an hour in line to pay. When my uncle handed a few extra items to my aunt to add to her purchase, the manager completely lost it -- started yelling at her in front of everyone, saying she had to go to the back of the line. Then, things got even worse. The manager actually raised her hands in an aggressive way, like she was going to hit my aunt. It was shocking -- people in line saw it and were just as stunned. And instead of de-escalating, the manager called security and had them kicked out like they were criminals. My aunt left the store visibly shaken and upset. She has health issues and was really affected by the whole thing. Honestly, no one should be treated like that -- especially not visitors who were just trying to shop and have a good experience in the U.S. This kind of behavior from a store manager is beyond unprofessional. I really hope Burlington and the mall take action. read more

I had a great experience in this Burlington location. Significantly large amount of selections from many different brands, ranging from cheap to expensive prices. Very spacious store with very fast cashiers. There was a long line of a hundred people on one side of the check out desks, however it only took about fifteen to twenty minutes to be available for check out, which was above my expectations of my waiting time. Overall, it's a great Burlington location in the mall of The Mills at Jersey Gardens. read more

The store itself looks a mess. The shoe section has alarms going off in basically every aisle. The shoes are all over the place. The kids' and adults' shoes are all mixed together and thrown all around. The place needs a serious renovation. The shelves are disgusting and need to be replaced. There were open chips and bags toss on the shelves. Almost all the cash registers were open, and the line still hit the back of the store. This store needs a LOT OF HELP!!! I gave it two stars because through the mess, I was able to find some items to purchase. read more

This store is huge, but it lacks fitting rooms. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't for the rude night manager at 9/3/2022. She seems annoyed at the customers utilizing the front cashier to pay cash. As you can hear from her irritated announcement every 5 minutes telling customers to utilize "the front cashiers if paying for credit cards and the back cashiers for cash only." Why not put a huge sign telling customers on which cashiers accept cash or credit cards only. Most of your customers are tourists coming from the airport and it would be efficient to just put a huge sign instead of hearing that unwelcoming announcement every 5 minutes up to 2 hours before closing. Also, please retrain your night manager as she was rude while she was trying to pass me with her return cart at the cashier line. She yelled "back" because she cant fit her cart. I just want to pay and catch the last bus. Perhaps install a self-service paying kiosk for customers who are in a rush. The check out line is always long and sometimes makes me want to just purchase most of these items on Amazon read more

Huge location. Ginormous. At some point in the recent past they had what you were looking for. But because its such a busy store that guy in front of you in line probably got there first. You can find deals here for sure. Just be prepared to look through lots of optons and sizes first. read more

This place has upscaled in maintaining a clean store. I won't focus on what it use to look it but so glad they've stepped it up. You can find the entrance right from the parking lot. No need to enter the mall to look for this store. As you enter you will come across security who now has a personalized area. Maybe they have a screen to surveillance the store better? They carry just about everything here. You can find shoes, clothing for all seasons and activities, kitchen accessories, bathroom accessories, luggage's, purses, jewelry, perfume etc. You can exchange and return items within 14 days for full money back with receipt and item in original package or with original tags. read more

It is a pretty large store located in the Mills at Jersey Gardens mall. Prices are reasonable. A step up from Marshalls. They have a good selection of women's coats. read more

This has nothing to do with the store I'm pretty sure it's a great business...But I don't appreciate the people working there and a certain Burlington employee named Sam Sorto tried to break into my house and tried to attempt to either harm my fiancé or worse he's sick in the head person and should be institutionalized this has been going on for a long time and continues to harass and torment my fiancé and is a pathological liar, a rapist and an abuser and says we were there but I've never been to this Burlington if the manager doesn't do anything and lies for him I'm calling HR and having him fired if the manager does nothing...I would not be doing this for no reason he's putting my unborn child at risk I will call the cops on the store and make sure corporate knows of this please be smart and do something Burlington I will not allow this to happen you will be hearing from me.... read more

not too long ago I went to do a job Interview here the manager was pretty much all over the place made me wait for the whole appointment and had carried on to a next candidate while I knew the next person the manager is very unprofessional speaking badly upon previous candidates about their appearance and calling them dumb (myself included) the interview was very passive aggressive would not talk clearly and get easily irritated when I could not hear proceedEd to stare me down about my clothes and very overall completely disrespectful and unprofessional personally I don't advice many to apply to this job and theres no guarantee you'll get a full day of work. read more

This place is located at the Jersey Gardens Outlet Mall. Everytime we're in New York City, this outlet mall is one of our final destinations before heading home. Why? Because there is no sales tax on clothes when shopping in New Jersey. The Burlington Coat Factory offers good discounts on quality clothes. The prices at this outlet location are lower than their normal retail branches. Plus you do not pay sales tax! That's another 7.5% savings from where we come from! Fair prices on quality clothes makes for an "A-OK' store. read more

My experience at this store was the worst ever!! After buying a Calvin Klein jacket it tore apart in two weeks time . Thought it was ok because exchange should not be a problem since it was within 2 weeks how wrong was I. They absolutely refused to exchange. Poor customer service!! read more

Burlingtons are a bit hit or miss as another fellow reviewer said in another Burlington Coat Factory review. But all I can say is that I really like this particular Burlington. The one in North Bergen is fantastic for winter coats of all lengths and levels of coverage. Im a huge fan of the North Bergen store for winter coats. For clothing, I personally prefer this Burlington, the one at Jersey Gardens. It is a very large store and has a good selection of womens clothing. The store is organized and brightly lit and has lots of great dresses and suit jackets and long skirts to choose from and the price is what is the best part. The clothes is of high quality, not cheap t-shirt like material, and is sooo reasonably priced. Most dresses and skirts and items like that that Ive shopped for here have been all $20 and below for the most part and Ive been so pleased with the price and quality of what Ive bought. I always go here when I want to buy dresses or skirts. I usually always find at least one article of clothing that I want to buy and that's great because I usually don't spend my money that easily unless its of good quality AND a good price and I find that this place satisfies both my needs. I haven't been able to really look at the mens or childrens section too much but I did take a quick look at the mens section and I must say it did look like they had a pretty ample variety of mens polos and dress shirts and slacks. All in all, this Burlington has great clothing at a good price and I highly recommend you take a visit next time youre in town. There are also buses from NYC that take you straight to the mall and back I believe so even if youre in NYC you can still check out this mall when youre in town. Just go to NJ Transits website and look up buses and schedules. Great place. Worth a look! And the no sales tax on shoes or clothing is really a money saver and a huge source of happiness for me. :) read more
