I thought that slippery and deceptive sales tactics were reserved for low-level, fly by night used car dealers. Apparently, this extends to franchised dealerships as well. When I said I couldn't make it, and shortly thereafter (less than 10 minutes) said I could actually stop by that same day, I was told it was sold. So had it been sold all along? Or did it coincidentally fly off their lot in the minutes that Burlington Chevrolet's manager, Brian, thought I wouldn't make it. Were they going to let me come out just to say it's been sold, all while telling customers it was available, knowing I was coming to see it? Very unscrupulous and deceptive. We knew what we wanted before we arrived at the dealership. We contacted Bobby before they were open, and the truck we wanted was ready for a test drive before we even got there. Bobby tossed us the keys, and after a quick drive, we were pretty much ready to go. The quickest, smoothest purchase I have ever experienced when buying a vehicle. Service department is a complete ripoff. Charged me $500 to install a $30 part that took 10 minutes to install, even though I'd told them I'd already replaced it. Of course that didn't fix the problem now they quote me $4000 to repair. To top if off their tech left a screwdriver under my hood and latched the hood wrong almost damaged it. I will never come back here again as long as I live. read more

They sold me a used car that was a lemon, I know that I bought it as is, but they didn't even try to help me out, they got the money and never cared about my problems. I bought it with 100,000 on it which is okay for a 2013. Still, within a year I had to replace the catalytic converter, I had to replace the serpentine belt and the two pullies, I also had to replace the valve cover gasket, and now I have a coolant leak, which the mechanic can't find. After the last encounter I had with the service department and them breaking my car, twice, I was not prepared to ever bring my car here again. Unfortunately, I had no choice when I was told the issue with my AC required the dealership software. I brought my car in to be repaired as my AC was only blowing hot air. I got my car back, the AC worked for 5 minutes as I drove it to dinner. I returned from dinner to find that the AC not only wasn't working but no air was blowing at all. Avoid at all costs. They practice everything bad that you hear about car dealerships. I contacted the internet sales department at Burlington Chevrolet to inquire about a new Camaro they had listed on their website. Due to the current market they were advertising a $5000 "market adjustment" on the vehicle. When I spoke to Jessica, I inquired if the "market adjustment" was negotiable. I was willing to pay over MSRP, but not $5000. I was told yes, it was, but to come in for the best "leverage". I live an hour away and would not usually go to the dealer knowing I would be paying a $5000 upcharge. I would simply move on to the next dealer. Well after driving an hour, I arrive to find not only a $5000 market adjustment on the vehicle, they also add a protection package for an additional fee, I think around $1500. If this wasn't bad enough, I had a Kelly Blue Book instant cash offer for over $28,000 for my trade, however they started at $25,000 and wouldn't go above $27,000, even thought they admitted they were a Kelly Blue Book "dealer". They absolutely refused to negotiate the $5000 market adjustment and refused to honor the Kelly Blue Book instant cash offer. I don't mind them charging whatever they feel they can get for the car, it is a free market. What I mind is being lied to just to be brought into the showroom. If the market adjustment is non-negotiable, just say that and don't waste 3 hours of my time. read more

I knew there was a $149 charge just to look at it and I was fine with that, so when I picked my Truck up they charged me $339.00. Told me they had to work an extra hour on it. I took my car in to have a engine repair no one else wanted to do. I took the needed parts in & the tech didnt want to use my OEM GM parts. They wanted to half diagnose & speculate on what COULD be broken then write a ridiculous estimate with parts that were determined to be fine. IE using degreaser & cleaning good parts wasnt in these folks vocabulary. They wrote an estimate with 800+ in parts when i did the job myself only a $30 hose & 3 seals were needed. Long story short they handed me a $1250 estimate & i did the job myself for $65 in supplies. I know labor isnt free but falsely trying to charge for $800 in uneeded parts cause i had my own is morally wrong. read more

Drove an hour to go test drive the car, only to find that "aww shucks, the car was just transferred off the lot about an hour ago." "Well you could have saved us an hour drive then, right?" Mind you, the appointment for that car was confirmed not once, but TWICE earlier in the day by the dealership. Then just for laughs, next day- had another person call to make an appt to see that same car, and lo and behold, they confirmed another appointment to see and test drive that exact car. I'm pretty sure that car never existed in the first place (at that price, and maybe not even on the lot) and they just know how to get you in the door. Dislike. Bad business. I went in to check out a used car I saw online. The guys there were friendly enough, but that's about all I can list in the "positives" column. Being very wary of used cars in the months after Hurricane Sandy hit, I checked over the car carefully and noticed damp, discolored carpeting, and a strange albeit slight odor inside the cabin. Pulling the lever to pop the trunk revealed water in the lever's plastic surrounding and rust forming in the puddle. The trunk liner was wet. I asked the salesman who was helping me about the moisture and he tried to explain it away by saying that it had just been detailed. This car had either been detailed with a hose, or it had been in a flood or had some very serious leaks. Though I was taken aback by how big of a fool they took me to be, I still wanted to see what they'd give me for my current car. They took my keys, drove my car around without asking, and then hung out in the back room for literally a half-hour while I waited for a quote. I would have left if they had left me with my keys, but I was stuck. Maybe I am a fool for letting them waste my time. The brazen dishonesty about the used car should have sent me on my way from the start. While I cannot speak for their service department, Burlington Chevy will not be getting my business for quite some time. I dropped my truck off for an alignment there at 1100am and got a call back at 445 saying it was done and they couldn't do much and they gave me my alignment paperwork and most it isn't filled and there is no after readings on most of the paper work. I didn't get the car that I exactly wanted so I settled something that was close. Seems like I got a ok price on the lease but the price that I ended up paying I probably should have just paid a bit more and leased a new Acura. Maybe I'm mistaken but the agreed price seems like it jumped up $2,000 on the lease document and then its later listed as additional fees. Not what I was expecting and not happy about it but I guess that's how it goes. Also when paying the down payment. I gave the lady 3 credit cards and told her to split the charges evenly between the 3. She ended up doing 2 charges on one card, 1 on the next, and no charge on the third. Not a big deal but I would've been mad if it went over my credit limit on the first card. Also I got a hard inquiry on my credit report twice which I think is totally unnecessary. So let me start by saying this was a terrible experience top to bottom. We leased the 2021 chevy traverse premier redline edition. This dealer was the onky i could find that had this exact model in about 100 miles at the time. R.C. who is the salesman insulted my wife telling her it was too expensive of a vehicle for her because she was negotiating how much we wanted to put dowb. Chris the manager refused to wiggle but hey i get it. The salesman refused to show my wife any of the features of the vehicle due to covid yet we had been to several other locations where we were showed the features. The vehicle had rear bowtie emblem damaged upon leaving the dealership on a brand new car which was in the showroom! We were given temp tags which expire this week and were supposed to get tags sent to us. I find out today the tags have been at the dealership since 5/28 with no one ever contacting us! Did i mention they let my wife leave the dealership without a spare key on a brand new 50k car without a spare key lol. Craziness ha. I can only share my experience but i will not be back and i would recommend not taking your business to this dealership ever. Oh and theres more... after they got our money i was harassed for days after on paperwork they needed from me or the prices would be changed. Lol . Who lets someone leave with a car and a signed contract then attempts to change the price and circumstances? As of today the emblem still unresolved bc they didnt even inspect the damn car! I have only used the service department. Everyone who has helped me was courteous and helpful. Listened to my concerns and all was addressed. I like the fact that I pull up to the service door, it opens and I drive in. No getting out in cold or rain. I would recommend the service department. Remember this is a dealership, prices can be higher than local shops. My personal opinion is to bring it to who knows it best. Maybe smaller common jobs could be completed there, but I keep it in the same place for now. Waiting area is clean, free wifi available and resr rooms are clean (very important). Location is good, got CVS, McDonald's, KFC and Amy's Omelet House are in walking distance. read more

My son bought a 2017 Chev SS a little over a year ago from them. It has been back probably about 10 times so far for several different things. And it still is not right! The sunroof has issues, the front end alignment has issues, the window rubber seals have issues, there was an issue with the trans they did not fix, has a broken seatbelt that does not work and it still is not fixed. They put grease on the rubber seal around the window to seal it! So Burlington Chev does nothing to help, factory rep does nothing to help. Poor customer service! NIGHTMARE....I brought a used truck from these guy that same day the oil pressure dropped below 10 psi ...2 weeks later engine the started making noise and oil pan was leaking so I took it back to the dealer....Michelle for the service desk told me that the engine wasn't no good and that they had to replace the engine...ok cool 3 weeks go by I get a call from Michelle she said my truck was ready....I go pick it up the next day....I got there hoping that the truck was good cause I live pretty far and I didn't want to have to come waaay back....I paid what I had to pay...I was happy to have my truck back that I just brought...as I start driving home the truck started shaking ..lights on the dash started blanking it was driving terrible...worst than before I dropped it off with the engine noise and leaks...my extended warranty was charged $6000 for a engine thats worst than the 1 that was originally in the truck....Im soo frustrated I hope I didn't disappoint my family with this one...They depend on me and my decisions...I feel robbed.... read more

3 weeks ago I stopped in to look at a 2016 Dodge Ram 3500 6 speed manual trans. Spoke with Steve the salesmen and after waiting at his desk for who knows how long I finally see the truck out front but come to find out he hit another car in the lot with dually fender causing severe damage to the bed side. What ever. After constant and almost condescending apologies we took the truck for a test drive. Loved the truck rode great. As we returned I met josh the manager and explained to him that I was interested but not willing to purchase the truck till I saw it fixed. So 3 weeks pass no phone call from dealership so I call and talk to Steve and he says oh.... we just got it back from the body shop. Ok fine this was on a Friday I had to call them Monday because they once again did not call me back to set up an appointment. We set everything up for Wednesday. Steve calls me on Tuesday to tell me they have someone signing papers on the truck. Wtf Steve. His and Josh's response was first come first serve. Well Steve and josh I was first. Please do not trust this dealerships. I bought my "NEW" car there and to my surprise next morning I've realized, that the mileage reading shows over 400 miles, the GPS is not working and right site of the bumper is unlocked. Terrible. Ive called this dealership to fix the GPS and bumper. I had to travel there 2 times just for GPS fix and each time i had to sit there between 3hr and 4hr. The bumper was not fixed at all. 1st time i was waiting there 3hr just to hear that they can not fix it due to part deficit. OK. Part was ordered and arrived in 3 days. I've received a call and this time requested a spare dealership car instead just sitting there and waiting. Dealership car was provided with the estimate time for 4hr and call was promised when my car is ready to pickup. At the end of the day which was way more than just 4 hours, i drove there. No one even looked at my car!!! I was told to go home on a dealership car. Really? After Ive spent all day driving around the aria of the dealership waiting for my car to be fixed? Since I was not looking to spent another day at this terrible dealership Ive requested my unfixed car back and left. Terrible experience. This people do not care about company or customers. Not to mention that they've pushed on me "NEW" which i believe used and defective 2020 Chevrolet Equinox and priced it as new - Just because i am a women and they can do it. I've tried to complain. Actually i might be crying and screaming as well. Mostly crying. Manager i had to deal with just an artist and you can not trust a single word he is saying. I searched for my dream used car for six straight months, and found it at Burlington and purchased a used X5 with very low mileage. I bought the car "as is" and prayed it was well maintained because of the low mileage. I was told by the manager before I test drove the car, they noticed the "air was not cold " when the car came in and added coolant before I test drive the car. The car was staling, and needed a jump when I came to pick up the car. After waiting 4 hours at the dealer because the battery wouldn't keep a charge, the manager finally agreed to replace the battery because it was clear the battery was not performing. Six hours later I drove off with the X5. The low coolant sign came on again 3 weeks later, so I added more coolant. Low coolant came on for the 3rd time, I added more coolant. I decided to take the X5 to a certified BMW repair shop to uncover the low. It was determined I had a small crack in the radiator which was common for X5's, and I was losing coolant slowly. Repair cost $1000 of my hard earned cash. I am sure it was known there was a leak before I purchased the X5 and was not disclosed. before I finalized the paperwork. Lesson learned, after you made up your mind to purchase a used car, it is a good idea to take a certified mechanic you know and can trust with you to examine the car when buying a used X5, to help you really uncover all the issues the car has before you purchase the vechicle.
