Police at the location over a$35 consultation fee she made up.

I visited Burhani Med Spa for a 'free, no obligation' consultation. It was clear right away that I wouldn't be getting any services there. Umi mentioned she was 'dizzy from Nyquil'. When I declined services, she insisted on a consultation fee. I asked to see this policy/fee on their social media or website, but she couldn't provide any proof. She became upset, so I left peacefully. Immediately, she bombarded me with texts , sent me pictures of my home, and even involved the police. I went back with evidence showing that the consultation fee was never mentioned. The police arrived, and a report was filed against her.

Beware, DISHONEST business practice! I would NOT recommend!! Umi redeemed my Groupon voucher without providing the "90 minutes treatment and provided samples." She lied to Groupon so I cannot get my money back. I purchased Groupon to try microneedling. Spoke to Umi to make the appt. After I informed her I am new to this and would like more info on the process, she didn't provide much info and kept pushing upgrades, to look at their site and to check out Francine queen of threads, and confirmed it will improve my skin reducing appearance of pores with upgrades. After agreeing on a time for July 23, she texted back and changed it for 22nd@ 12:30. I showed up on time and again I inquired what to expect from this process and what it entails. She did not provide a full detail of what the process, she asked if I looked at their site and looked at Francine site. I was expecting her to proactively provide a full on explanation of what the process will be like during the treatment and what to expect after including down-time/recovery time but I never received this so I felt very insecure already. I had to keep inquirying to get answers. She straight up asked me what my budget was, I wasn't expecting to spend more than what I purchased. She was upselling the spicule peel and for me to upgrade the microneedling procedure. She asked to see my email for the Groupon purchase so she can apply the amount I paid to the upgraded procedure. On the phone, she told me $499 but now she's telling me $599. I don't understand why she would apply the amount I paid versus what the treatment is actually worth to the upgrade. It didn't make any sense to me. I could not trust her with discrepancy on the $, by upselling me and not providing me with enough information on the treatment. When I asked if there was any side effects, her response was "why are you so negative?" I've been scammed before and I would like full info so I didn't think I was being negative. I've kept asking for detail info on the procedures and received very vague answers. At one point, she showed me a after picture of a woman's neck but no before picture. I feel the primary focus is only trying to get me to upgrade for other procedures and for me to pay more but not focusing on providing me with information on the treatments. I settled on not upgrading and to do the treatment I purchased. She finally informed me the downtime includes me not going out in the sun for 2 days which I'm unable to because I have to walk my dog as there's no one else. She's okay with rescheduling but will need to redeem Groupon now or I'd have to pay $29 consultation fee without treatment. If she had given full information on what to expect for the procedure, we wouldn't have to reschedule or a need for a consult. And nowhere on their site or on the Groupon indicates a fee without treatment. I walked away without paying and feeling very insecure on the whole meeting with her and decided I want to return my Groupon. Well, it hadn't even been an hour and she had already redeemed my voucher! I provided the correspondence texts from Umi to Groupon as proof she didn't provide service. Groupon support said she's redeemed it and there's nothing we can do which was very disappointing. Umi claimed it was a whole misunderstanding and she's working with Groupon to get my credit but since I purchased it over 2 weeks ago and requested refund it's more difficult. This is all a lie!! First, I bought the Groupon less than 2 weeks ago and I've been corresponding with Groupon every day so obviously they are aware of my dispute and not any correspondence from her. I am just expecting credit back. I disputed this charge with my credit card company and received my money back. Please see what a horrible communicator she is and how she's lied with the text correspondence attached. Contrary to her saying there's no med spa that doesn't charge consultation fee, I've already been to one that I would highly recommend on Bellaire, Medispa Institute.

The plastic bag that the technician says she put my expensive heirloom necklace
    Kay D.

I went to Burhani med spa on greenhouse way in cypress texas. I had in an expensive necklace and the lady told me to take it off, so I did and I put it into my pocket. Then she says to take it out of my pocket and place it into a chair. I did that and at the end she handed me a small plastic bag and says my necklace was there. I drive straight home, and my necklace was gone!

Welp based on this and asking questions guess that means I am arguing. So I now I just don't recommend this place at all won't be returning for the Botox now... have a great one

Terrible job, this supposed to be GOLD mask GOLD

This place managed by who called herself Umi is a total joke, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE unprofessionalism is on high level , she is 100% dishonest, not truthful with clients , she would say anything to get you on the treatment , once you done , you won't see results after weeks , you give her update then she would give you her real face ...aggression and rudeness on top level ..greedy people for money only , they don't care for customer satisfaction. When i shared my feedback and how I'm disappointed about my experience after paying 175$ for failure facial She said " oh im sure there is dead skin gathered !!!! and offered me free derma pen " When it was time fir me to go get it she said "sorry you have to pay " She only offered free basic facial Well , if your 175$ facial was a total disaster....how you think your basic one would be ...???? When i asked her you said free now you say I should pay ??? Why I already paid 175$ for miserable facial zero results She turned to aggressive attitude and rude messages And refused to deal with me at all lol and she blokes me on Instagram so that I don't share my experience.. Shame. The owner is just following up with accounting records coz she only cares for money , customers and their satisfaction...non of her interest...shame on you My 175$ gone for nothing, thats fine I'll consider I trashed it at least i know now what kind of people working here ... I wished if you do services as professional as you do in creating lies .... First I have never got treatment for my face except this one which was the first and last one thankfully Second, you should be ashamed of yourself creating false statement saying any lies to excuse your unprofessionalism and failure Third: I never contacted you guys through any social media The only way I communicated with you nicely while you didn't deserve it is texting on your phone I followed you before on Instagram but never leave anything there especially concerning this matter coz you blocked me right away before even i say anything there. Fourth: My regular med spa is Amy's skin care med spa on westheimer "which is a high End place with 136 reviews for a rating of 4.7 stars I have a monthly facial with them , but i made a very wrong decision to think of trying something different in different place as i have the passion for skin maintaining You don't know what you talking about, and whom you talking with..you are simply lying coz its free .. I don't look for free things i look for the best And I definitely know now you are the cheapest not only price wise but professionally wise also Im shocked to see your talent in faking a whole scenario about me The whole time i was on your dirty sheet bed that you don't change after each customer , but still didn't say anything and was trying to relax but you were speaking non stop , and I didn't want to be rude and tell you to stop talking because you were very loud and annoying, i was too polite to say it, closing my eyes and only replying with the " mmmmm" or " ok" I didn't open my mouth till you ask me another question of your no ending ones .. Any successful professional reputable business would reply to customer complaints with respect and try to make it up or at least apologize, I'm a local guide on google and I review businesses, i never seen such an awful attitude in any reply from those business owners. That's what makes them successful actually. And look at you ...poor knowledge about business management,or customers obsession Anyway im very glad that you revealed how cheap business you are. And i hope people go and see other reviews about their terrible experience with you. And they stat away

There are a lot of hidden fees, the pricing isn't standard, and the spa doesn't take credit cards without charging you a 3% fee for using a card. They only use cashapp or Zelle. That was not told to me up front. I was also told to not use my Groupon as they take 40% of their profit. I didn't but in the end I still got overcharged by a lot. The pricing is nowhere on the brochure. The brochure wasn't given to me until after I paid while I was walking out the door. I was charged $30 per thread but then when I said I couldn't afford anymore it was changed to $5 per thread after just charging me $30 per thread. That is extremely deceptive. I was told growth factors provided was $25. I was charged $50. The actual facial took less than 20 minutes for $598. We specifically talked about using a credit card it was never mentioned the 3% charge until it was time to pay, after my services. I am not happy with the services provided. The facial provided was not what was explained to me whatsoever. The threads didn't change anything. Businesses do not typically only take cashapp or zelle and if they do, it's said upfront. I don't have either of those options to pay and would not have come if I was told that. The therapist had just taken THC and was hungover. I should have walked out then. I trusted this business with my face. I was given samples in opened medicine cups from a drawer (pictured). Nothing was clean. I explained several times I had used tretnoin before but like other things I mentioned, I wasn't listened to. The entire visit was extremely unprofessional. Total cost for a 20 minute facial and threads was $1027 , at the spa a total of about an hour. Definitely be careful and get pricing in writing BEFORE your services!

I am glad that I came across Burhani Laser. Umi makes you feel very comfortable- "right at home". She is so sweet (matters- I account warm customer service), knowledgeable, not a trashy place. Who cares it is a large building, shared with other suites?! Point is that you WILL see a wonderful improvement in your skin; without the nightmare. Last, but not least, I had the pleasure of getting a microneedling session from her. My pores are immensely gone- not all the way, yet far better!! And my face appears more rested, rather youthful! Thankyou Umi.

Four days post-op, my upper arms already look amazing. However, the orders for palliative care prior to IV insertion before surgery were not honored by one ancillary healthcare professional. I endured a great deal of traumatic treatment including an alleged serious break in the chain of care along with false hyperbolic accusations against me that were personally insulting and absolutely unwarranted. I was not a problem patient. I was a patient treated like a problem because I insisted on promised palliative IV care...meaning an injection of lidocaine prior to IV insertion. I was pain-shamed by one employee and by a doctor who upset me with twisted words then subsequently warned me about being upset before being put under anesthesia, an irony not lost on me. Additionally, I have a forceful involuntary fight or flight response to IV insertion albeit not to blood drawn. I do not determine which pain my body experiences as a threat. The startle response is absolutely as uncontrollable as it is dangerous. Forceful movement can cause the cannula to tear through tissue, muscle, vessel(s). I was told, "Most patients prefer one stick to two." As far as my startle response is concerned, if I don't feel the second stick, it's only one stick that is minimal by comparison to IV insertion without palliative care. The emphasis being on care. It was absent without a great deal of effort on my part. If Dr. Basu's practice had a patient advocate or ombudsman, this position could have prevented an unfortunate experience. There is no obvious venue in-house to deal with situations similar and ensuing aftermath. There is nothing other than complaints to each individual's respective governing boards left for me to report allegations of professional misconduct. Until Dr. Basu's practice adds a patient advocate giving voice to a patient's right to be seen, heard, felt, respected by his entire staff, patients like me, those who experience extreme involuntary startle responses to IV insertion will remain at risk. Whether most patients tolerate IV insertion without startle reactions is irrelevant. Leaving even one more patient pain-shamed, abandoned, humiliated, hyperventilating bereft of care is one patient too many.
