Dr. Robare is stellar. I just wish her office would take the insurance we have as retired military.

And sure enough following 2 punch samples, I was properly diagnosed with Vitiligo. I may never get all of my hair back but I'm hoping for a scalp with one color. She and her staff have been amazing which is a bonus considering how far I drive to see her.

This happened 5 times before we finally connected. For the record, they never once picked up when I called. It always went to voicemail. Once we did connect, the conversation was strange. I explained what I needed and what my daughter needed, and the woman said, "Well, I'm not sure if this sounds like something for the med spa or for the dermatologist." I said, "You're the experts, you tell me." She then told me we'd need to book an appointment that would cost close to $300 without any treatment. That's $600 for my daughter and me just to talk to someone, plus an unknown charge for whatever treatment we'd need. They couldn't tell me what that treatment would cost. That's seems overpriced, but maybe I'm wrong about that. If you're comfortable spending that kind of money, maybe this place works for you. For me, it was an odd and discouraging call, and I'm not comfortable paying a place that doesn't seem confident in what they're doing.

Finally I found a dermatologist that actually listened to my concerns and proposed a plan of action…read morethat I been hoping for. Dr. Nikko walked into the exam room, introduced himself with a genuine smile, concentrated on me fully and I knew this doctor was right for me. Dr. Nikki did a very thorough exam. He asked questions that were related to the course of action he was planning to begin. He let me know the insurance would cover his course of action. I made my next appointment and paid my co pay. I now am looking forward to seeing Dr. Nikko again.

I truly hope y'all fired the injector with the aggressively overfilled lips and ego to match, because looking in the mirror after she worked on me was a full-blown jump scare. I went in asking for half a syringe in my lips. She decided to go rogue and dump the entire thing in--because I was "already paying for it," as if I asked for a deal on a botched face. Let's not forget the masseter injections. I woke up looking like Johnny Bravo on steroids. Somehow she managed to add jowls I didn't have before. I had to cancel work because I looked like fish with gills. To make it worse, I heard her walk out of our consultation and say "drinks on me today," as she made a pretty penny off me!! And she bragged about training people to do injections, which is honestly the most chilling part. The more she hyped herself up, the more I should've realized I was the demo doll in her TED Talk on delusion. Please. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere with an injector who doesn't mistake overconfidence for talent. This wasn't aesthetic--it was a cautionary tale.

I started to notice some spots on my face. Some were right under my earlobe and some on my neck…read more They were bruise-like black and purple. My fear was that I may have Melanoma but according to the specialists here they said that doesn't seem to be the case. I had a biopsy done and in two weeks I was asked to come back for the results. It's unfortunate that even after having a biopsy done they cannot tell me what exactly it is that I have. The specialist that helped me told me that the results that the lab test gave was a generic diagnosis because it can't exactly figure out what the problem is. She gave me her assumptions as to what it MIGHT be but its not 100%. I was prescribed a steroid drug to put on my face and hope for the better that it goes away. Wish I had a better answer but nope. I can say however that it was very easy to get an appointment even after being a new patient at this office. I was referred by Dr. Hitchins on Barker Cypress since they were booked out for over a month. I called this office and was able to get in the following day. My insurance is with UnitedHealthCare, I believe they only take the Choice Plus version. Both times that I have been here the waiting room is packed! Make sure you are on time to your appointment. Also, try to park in the parking lot if you can because the garage does charge a fee depending on how long you are there and this dermatology office will not validate your parking. Overall the staff is nice and the services are pretty quick.
