I would highly recommend Alberta Rooftop Ltd.

When I first met with Joe, he was very personable and gave good advice/suggestions! Sometimes, we think we know what we want, but when it gets close to getting done...not so much! Do It All Contracting had reasonable rates/pricing; e.g. another contractor was going to charge $20.00 more per hour for the electrical work. I was very satisfied with the workmanship and the work was completed on budget and schedule!

The folks working on his behalf made numerous mistakes, causing the project to go over time (by multiple weeks) and over budget, to the point we terminated working with them and had to finish the project ourselves (which was more time and more money for us). If Joe had been on site, it may have gone differently, but in the end, it was a very upsetting experience. Looking online, I see only the positive, raving reviews, but the company has been in business for so long that I wonder where the other reviews are...? If your project is unusual at all, shop around.

As per usual, it doesn't take too long before one of them stands out above the rest. Sheldon from INLINE SOLUTIONS came to look the job over. He was very personable and professional and went through the project very thoroughly. His quote was equally professional, detailing everything that needed to be done separately with each cost. He answered all our questions and concerns with honesty. Inline Solutions polyaspartic floor coating systems are nonporous, making them easier to clean because the dirt and contaminants remain on the surface. Polyaspartic floors are stronger and more resistant to chemicals than many other types of flooring. Our floor was completed in the time frame that was quoted, and we couldn't be happier with it. Money well spent! A big thank you to Sheldon, Nick and staff for making our garage project so stress free.

To put it plainly: they are fantastic…read more I had water damage due to a neighbor's unit flooding. My condo hired a reconstruction company that was rather bad. I was sent a painter who didn't know what he was doing and it got so bad he started to yell at me and I had to threaten to have the police come to escort him away. Ghost was a breath of fresh air. Josh, the owner, set up an appointment and was precisely on time. If you have worked with contractors this is unprecedented in and of itself. He assessed the poor paint job another painter had done and said he would have Geovanna come out (on a long weekend at that). She called me the day before to let me know when she would come by. She was very friendly and was aghast at how poor an effort the previous painter made. She said if anything he made it worse by using inferior paint (I offered to give the bad painter the right paint but he refused). She found all the problem areas and spent about 9 hours fixing his mistakes. She used woodfiller properly, sanded until everything was looking perfect, and made the effort not only to do it right but come back the next day to see how one problem area dried. I simply cannot recommend them enough. Edmonton is filled with hacks who say they know what they are doing but Ghost proved to me quality workmanship is out there. Thank you Geo, thank you Josh.

I hired Ilya to do metal roof on my lake cottage in red tile Spanish look…read more There are not many metal roofers and even fewer experienced and good ones. In short, Ilya and I Roof Alberta have been outstanding. He explained all options, pros and cons, costs involved and set realistic timelines (of course weather dependent). On my roof, he worked with his crew and did quite a bit of work himself. It is evident he takes pride in his work, provides excellent workmanship and does not cut corners or rush the job. There were a few sections of the roof that were rotted and he replaced the plywood - first talked to me and sent me pics. He also recommended more professional and leak proof solution for my chimney and different method and material for my very low pitched garage roof. I have tons of reno experience myself and have hired many professionals to do work for me before. I also do tons of research (mostly on the internet), plus check references and talk to people who had similar work done. I am also at the jobsite quite a bit, almost daily, and follow very closely what is being done and how. No issues with Ilya, he checked all the boxes for me. Lastly, metal roofs are great but they are also very expensive. I had several quotes and I Roof Alberta was not the cheapest but definitely nowhere near the most expensive quote. In fact I Roof Alberta was very competitive when taking into account the quality of the materials (e.g. gauge and finish of steel) and the care they take to do a very professional job.

Our assessment noted the following: -Price quoted was reasonable and appropriate for the project, this was confirmed by an independent individual whose livelihood entails this type of work. -All workers who were at the job site were courteous, professionals and willing to assist us in getting the job done to our satisfaction. -Tapper was very good, took the time to do the job and not hurried in anyway. Applied mud and sanded the walls, ceiling with the least amount of dust as can be expected in a project such as ours. -Foreman on the job site walked us through every phase of the painting and was very personable. -Site was left clean and tidy after the project was completed. We had massive, torrential hailstorms in Edmonton this summer and I was nervous about how the new skylight would hold up. Zero problems. Very happy with the job they did. Cons: Their communication is terrible. It took many rounds of emails to get them to explain why we needed a new skylight in the first place, because originally we had contacted them about water damage to the roof. After the inspection, the quote included an entirely new skylight, so *presumably* that was the problem, but seeing as there was no actual explanation, it was very frustrating to have to do this back-and-forth just to simply get them to confirm that the skylight was the source of the water leakage. I don't know who does their administrative work but it needs some improvement. We went back to them recently because we were happy with their previous work and we now need numerous repairs to our condo complex's old gutters and loose roofing panels. Their inspection indicated we needed a lot more roofwork done than we initially thought, but we really only wanted to address the aforementioned issues at the moment as they were the most glaring. They also put a charge on there for a whole new skylight which they had already installed months ago? So we emailed them back multiple times asking for an estimate that only included what we asked for. They never responded and presumably ghosted us. Very confusing and weird. I don't really know how many stars to give them. Five stars for the actual work they do, fully happy with that. I guess I'll knock one off for the way they conduct their business though. It's not fun to sit on your hands and wait for a response that never comes, all while fearing for the integrity and stability of your home while the wind rattles away outside.
