I thought Burgerville was a sit-down restaurant like Denny's - I'm from LA - that specialized in burgers. Man, I was wrong. I was doubtful about this place but decided to give it a try. Prices were pretty good except you have to pay $3.50(!!!) to make it a meal (+drink +fries). Burgers themselves weren't so expensive but I thought $3.50 for a meal was little too much. So I just got a med drink. My burger came out relatively quickly and this place delivers your burger to your table (just like carl's jr). That was neat. Burger looked pretty good and after the first bite, I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty good and juicy! I'm from LA and I'm so used to In-N-Out that this burger was so-so at best. However, I really like how the tomato and lettuce were really fresh and the meat was cooked really well. Although I enjoyed my burger from Burgerville, I gotta say I had better and it was A-OK. So I really like Burgerville for lunch but this review is in regards to their breakfast, specifically the burrito. So you can tell it is very healthy and good ingredients are used but they really need to work on the flavor. It isn't that it is bad, it is just bland. You forget what the taste was 5 minutes after eating it. I think if they added some sour cream, and black beans it would go a long ways. Maybe grill the Tortia for a few seconds to give it a bit of a signature. The coffee was good, and they had some flavors for it. Liked that. The mini hash browns not that impressive. We spend quite a bit of $ each visit. We don't have time to sit down with kids, but still want a quality burger. This time, I got the chicken sandwich. I've never tasted such a horrible substance! I couldn't chew through the meat and the little bit I did swallow made me feel like going to the hospital. To make matters worse, I waited 20 - 25 minutes in the drive thru to buy this expensive garbage. The sandwich was so bad that I got back into my car and drove back to the location so they would know that something was terribly wrong with the chicken. I hadn't eaten all day long, so I scarfed down some of the fries and drink on the way. I didn't want to have an accident being light headed from not eating. I get back to the store, go inside, wait in line and quietly share what happened with the cashier at the register. I told her that I deserved a refund, wanted them to check all the chicken so no one else got sick and I'd be on my way. The cashier gave me money back for the sandwich, but not my meal. We are literally talking about less than a $5 difference. With my family, I spend close to $50 each time we go. You do the math. Burgerville, and especially their assistant manager, failed me today in these 3 pertinent categories: 1. Quality of Product 2. Customer Service 3. Customer Experience. What I experienced today is simply unacceptable. I told the manager and cashier that I had now spent a few hours dealing with this Burgerville inconvenience along with potentially being sick from their food. This had to be considered if they wanted to give me right and exact change. My time is WAY more expensive than their meal. My bad experience and being a loyal customer wasn't considered at all. To be clear, I was doing Burgerville a favor. By taking the time to notify them, it cost me time away from my own work. The cashier proceeded to give me the rest of my refund when some little girl with glasses, claiming to be the assistant manager, came from out of the back without identifying herself and said, "You almost ate all that food." What she didn't understand was that I felt sick from the food I did eat and hadn't eaten all day. I was literally dizzy at this point, because I wasn't able to eat the chicken sandwich. It tasted like rubber. I had done nothing wrong and this assistant manager tried to misplace her anger toward me. That's when the BIAS seeped out and her actions made it clear that she had already made assumptions about me that were inaccurate. I said, "Who are you?" She then identified herself and spoke to me like I was her child. This little girl could be my daughter with regard to age and competency. She told me that I had been in the store before complaining, which was a lie. Even if I had, then my issue today is now "pattern or practice" that needs to be addressed. The way in which the assistant manager at this Burgerville engaged with me demonstrated bias, a lack of training & 0 professionalism. I will make a formal grievance at corporate headquarters of BV. Avoid this Burgerville at all costs! The assistant manager needs to be fired for how she engaged with me in a public space and Burgerville needs to learn from what Starbucks is going through after racial profiling their customers. This is the absolute worst I've ever been treated in fast food!! This May, I headed out with the bridal party I was a part of for a tasting tour of the area. We stopped at this Burgerville on the way. I ran in for 2 large French fries to go, that's it, and stood there to wait. I watched fry order after fry order being fulfilled (there was hardly anyone there since it was shortly after opening) for the drive through and then even for those ordering after me. About 5 minutes into my watching, a worker asked me what I needed and I told her I'd ordered 2 large fries. She said, "oh, ok," and kept working at her station - the drive through. At 8 minutes, I asked the girl working at the fry station about my order, and she told me they would get them to me soon. At 10 minutes and 30 seconds, I asked for a refund, and said it was totally unfair to wait over 10 minutes while they gave fries to everyone else who came after me. The manager was so rude and did not apologize for the delay. While we were doing the refund, someone grabbed some fries that had been sitting there for many minutes and bagged them up, setting them in the food warmer, around 11 minutes and 20 seconds after I ordered (I could read the screen right behind the counter and even brought up the wait time to them). I understand food can take time, but there were no orders ahead of me and only 2 after me in house in that 11 minute time span. They were all sitting around talking in the cooking area, and as I said, the manager and workers were unhelpful and I even consider them rude. Just so they know, I believe the proper fix would have been apologizing for forgetting about my order, refunding it and giving me the fries. I've worked in many customer service areas and THAT is how you treat people. I will absolutely never go to this Burgerville ever again!! Also, a quick note, they were throwing away oodles (2 sheet pans full) of rotten food in the kitchen, their onion rings. That was gross to watch. read more

Fresh, local and sustainable fast food. I've been frequenting Burgerville restaurants since I was a child, along with my beloved Arctic Circle now only in Utah! Anyway when totting along my 7 year old brother- I have to be a little kid friendly and I was in no mood for pho and he's not yet into sushi, and we were saving Jin Wah for dinner with our mom. What to do, that he likes? Burgerville. It's kinda pricey for fast food but the ingredients are all local and seasonal. I HAD to get the seasonal walla walla onion rings, and a vanilla milkshake made from milk and ice cream from local dairies. My brother had their fish and chips. Another thing I love from their winter menu is there sweet potatoe fries-- sooo good and their holiday flavors like egg nog. This and Coffee People are some of my must have's whenever I'm back in Portland. Service can be a little flaky.. I was wondering where my brother's fries to his fish and chips were and I had to go ask them showing them the receipt because 10 bucks cannot be for just 3 little pieces of Halibut. Love their regular burgers here too. It's the only other standby I get on their menu besides their milkshakes and seasonal offerings like sweet potato fries and walla walla onion rings- made fresh, you can watch them hand bread them. I am appalled at what I saw but , wasn't supposed to see.. I went through the drive thru around 8pm, I ordered a burger and fries and a chocolate Monkey shake which is a chocolate banana shake. I received my meal, then a few minutes later I received my shake. I instantly started in on the shake and before I could leave the drive thru area I noticed there was an overwhelming taste of over ripe slimy banana flavor. I went in to the restaurant to complain and have a different shake made. As I was waiting, I looked towards the back of the restaurant in to the kitchen area and the girl that was taking my money at the drive thru, was now in the back unloading toasted buns out of the toaster with her bare hands , NO GLOVES! Obviously they were short staffed and she was working several areas at once. I confronted her with what I had just seen, Almost not believing what my eyes had just witnessed. She turned BRIGHT RED and knew what she was doing was wrong. I asked her if that was how she prepared my food? She immediately said NO.. Lol.. Let's just say I did not eat my food even after getting home and microwaving the germs off my food. The meat tasted old and it was extremely chewy! The fries were ok. Only ok. My second made shake was chocolate hazelnut and I still wondered what could be living in it as well. I do not recommend this fast food, As a matter of fact I feel like calling the health inspector. They are lucky I do not work for the Health dept or I bet they'd be shut down. The manager was there at the time this was happening and I should have said something. Well, my boyfriend and I frequent this location for their milkshakes but our last experience here was everything but satisfactory. We ordered their fish and chips (which were great and always are) and my bf ordered their chicken fingers. We got clear home and when he opened his bag of chicken fingers we thought we may have been getting punked or something, it was a complete joke. There's supposed to be 3 pieces of chicken, there was 1, and 2 pieces of crust with no meat inside them. So we spent $7 on 1 piece of chicken and 2 pieces of popcorn looking pieces. I was livid because whoever put those pieces in there had to have known that was not cool. I called right away and asked for the manager, the manager wasn't the worst but certainly not the most apologetic or helpful. He basically asked me what I wanted him to do. How do you answer that? Well I want you to know what a piece of chicken is and what a piece of nothing is. He said he is training a bunch of new people right now and it isn't going well. Grew up having Burgerville. Not a huge fan of fast food hamburgers but every once in awhile I get a craving for Burgerville sauce! The good things about this fast food place is cooked to order burgers, local ingredients and love their seasonal specials! You can buy a jar of Burgerville spread but doesn't quite taste the same at home. They also have an Anasazi Bean Burger that is super yummy if you don't eat meat. This place has become very hit or miss. We live in the area and frequent it at least once every other week. Sometimes there is great food and friendly service and everything is right. Other times the staff looks inconvenienced and the food is wrong or bad. If we visit after 7pm its a 50/50 chance that our burgers will be cold, food missing or wrong. I've had cheeseburgers missing the cheese, sodas only 1/4th full and ordered breakfast burgers and gotten burritos. I emailed corporate and no response. Get your act together Bville! read more

My stars! These people know how to give customer service! I am a frequent shopper in this area (the pet shop and my vet are right nearby), so afterwards, I often find myself hankering for a little something meaty-and-cheesy. It goes without saying that Burgerville has long been the purveyor of top notch above-the-grade fast food (albeit with prices to match) but add in such great customer care and that's what truly puts this location in a league of their own, IMHO. Not just once, (as in a one-off experience), but each time I have gone into this establishment (at this location on 185th in Hillsboro), they have been stellar to me as a patron. Whether they rushed to open the door for me as I attempt to waddle in with hands overflowing with shopping bags, or if they graciously took back a burger because I forgot to say, "no mayo," they are always genuinely friendly, on point and quick to assist. My only criticism, which is more of a wish than a complaint is that the Tillamook Cheeseburger had a little more actual burger to it. I don't know if it is just my imagination but it always seems (unlike even a McDonald's burger) that the Tillamook is a wee bit on the thin side of beef and then a mouthful of bun and lettuce, etc. I will always go back to this location in particular, not just because it is convenient, and the food is delicious, but because the manager rocks and the employees seem to truly care. And in my book, and in these yucky times, these are rare attributes indeed. read more

We've mostly done drive-thru, and it's usually late at night. We haven't had an issue at all with it really, we've never had something missing or wrong orders. We're usually in an through pretty fast. We also usually enjoy what we get. Sometimes the fries are a bit wilted, sometimes the burger is just TOO lacking in meat. We still come though, just for the principals it has. Due to price and size, we don't come often. However, we're not usually disappointed, and we know what we're paying for. read more
