    The local neighborhood brew!

A solid burger joint with cheap eats and tasty sauces. Most burgers are € 4-5 or less, and while it's not the world's most spectacular meat, the whole package works quite well. Buns are toasted, cheese is cheesy and bacon is crispy. The wedges are themselves pretty awesome, but what sets them apart are the fantastic dipping sauces. I chose sour cream with chives, and it was GOOD. So good I ended up dipping my burger in it as well. Two burgers, wedges and two beers came to less than € 15. I love Berlin.

The Bacon & Cheese Burger from Burgerie is doing lots of things right: the organic meat - grilled on lava rock - is of very good quality and the bacon is above average too. I also like their general approach of cooking as many things on their own (e.g. sauces, wedges, fries) as possible. But there are also quiet some things, that need improvement: the bun was very dry and almost falling apart, the sauces (BBQ & sour cream) bland and the patty itself could use some salt. Overall a good burger with potential: 3(+)/5 - more burger reviews on Facebook: BerlinBuns -

Nice small place on the Schönhauser Allee, with a bunch of tables on the large and quite sidewalk The menu has several choices. I went for a simple cheeseburger, just to taste bread and meat. You can choose between 100g, 160g and more sizes of the meat. I've decided to stay inside (too many wasps in this period in Berlin) The bread of the burger is tasty and warm. It's a pleasure to bite. The meat is smelling and tasting deliciously. The waiter is not asking you about the cooking of the meat, but in the end it's a mix of medium and well done. The cheese in the simple cheeseburger is a little aggressive, but you have several cheese solutions in the menu if you want. Another thing, the vegetables are very good and fresh The stuff is quick and gentle. Next time I will also have potatoes which were looking really good on the other tables. I like the place inside and also the music was nice today I will be back for sure Bravi

He found one in fact, that's so satisfactory, and even more fantastic that they have a Barrel Aged one for only €10. (this is easily $16 in San Francisco!) I had two of these and was about to order a third one when someone (blame my husband) decided it was time to go home :( okay, okay. He had a legit reason, we had a 8am flight the next day. That didn't stop the crew from ordering multiple rounds of brewski, from IPAs to classic witbier or just ask the staff for the current specials and they can recommend something to your liking. Centrally located in Prenzlauer berg, this is a fun and relaxing place to hang out. The group was in a bitter sweet mood as it always goes on our last night in Berlin since we only see them twice a year. No doubt, I will be back to Salt n Bone. Especially since the menu is unapologetically American and in the land of currywurst and doner kebabs, that's definitely a good thing.

I wanted to order the entire menu but restrained myself and just got the Tom Ka Kai soup and Prawn Katsu Burger. Both were wonderful! I slurped the soup down to the very last drop and almost ordered another one. The burger was light and fresh, with tons of great flavor. The basil lemonade was the cherry on top of my order, herbaceous and fizzy. I loved every sip! My husband ordered the Umami Burger and fries and was kind enough to share a couple bites. His items were good, but I liked mine way better. The restaurant itself is quaint and cute. You almost forget you're right in the middle of Alexanderplatz under the TV Tower and not tucked into some quiet side-street in some far off destination. It seems to be family run (I think we met father and son at the register and spotted mom cooking) and every employee we encountered was super kind and accommodating. Makes me wish I lived in Berlin instead of Italy so that we could visit more often! Wonder if they'd mail me some of that Tom Ka Kai soup? Hmmm...

The fries here are great, the buns are crispy and pretty much everything about the burger is satisfying--but the patties themselves are kind of meh. They are crispy and juicy on the outside but kind of have a texture on the inside that feels un-fresh and filler-y. However, service here is great; some of the only outwardly friendly service I've seen in Berlin, and the burgers come out really fast.

The patties are clearly pre-formed and the weakest part of their offering, but they grill them up nice with a proper amount of char, and then ladle on the delicious toppings. Colleen C. has the right of it on ordering; you go in and order from the grill first. Don't worry about drinks or anything. They don't care. Just let them know what they need to cook up. Then grab your drinks, find a seat and wait for your order to be yelled out. Return your plates at the end (there are tiny bins scattered around) and pay by letting them know what you had, drinks and all. Burgers are cheap (3-6 EUR) and each menu option has a "baby" variant that's a bit smaller and about a Euro cheaper. Sides (fries, wedges) are 1-2 EUR and giant bottles of ketchup and mayo come gratis. The "chili-cheeseburger", which like most places in Berlin, isn't American chili but rather a *spicy* burger with jalapeños, cheese spread and a spicy red sauce. It's a tasty, gooey mess. The wedges are also pretty satisfying. If you opt for the sour cream, know that it's more like an herb cheese dip than sour cream. Still good, but different than what I was expecting. A full meal (burger, side, drink) should set you back no more than 9 EUR.
