a burger and a drink on a table
    Virginia B.

My flight was delayed 2 hours so decided to eat here because they are one of the few places that have brewed sweet tea. Lucky that I got one of the cushioned seats, rest are steel. Not very clean. Didn't see anyone cleaning tables. VERY rude employee at the place where you pick up your drink cup. They have fountain drinks as well as the tea and a full bar. Burger was ok, meat had NO seasoning at all. Even some salt and pepper would have helped. Tea was good and it was good to sit down for awhile after walking around for almost 2 hours. Would not return

Will they ever get my order right? First did you know when sitting at the bar counter you have to order an alcoholic beverage? It's their policy. So I had to order a Truly - that was ok but really not wanted. I ordered their veggie burger with no cheese or special sauce- I'm vegan and try my best to avoid dairy even when it's hidden in your food. I also ordered a basket of fries and onion rings. Crazy prices!! My veggie burger arrives with cheese on it which I guess was a blessing because I learned that they not only put cheese on top but inside the veggie burger Patty. I looked at the menu again and no where on the description does it state that there is cheese inside the patty. So my server sends it back and asks me what I want to eat again. My only option is the beyond burger. So I order that since I'm now obviously committed to eating there and at the bar. While I'm waiting for a new burger I start eating my fries and onion rings. The fries are ok but not as hot as I would like. The onion rings are much better. For the neatly $8 I paid for the combo I got 3 rings. So frustrating. I had to remind my server twice about my burger being remade but eventually and long after my fries were gone my burger arrived. Taste? It was ok. It would have been better if I could have enjoyed it with my fries/rings combo, Maybe next time now that I know more I will try you again BurgerFi? Or maybe not if there are other options at the airport.

Where do I start? The cheeseburger was just okay, as the bun was cold and the flavor was light. The onion rings were barely warm and extremely oily. They let me order iced tea, but were out is it, so when I went to get my drink is when I found out. I paid for a Diet Pepsi that I didn't really want. Only good thing about the place is a half decent hamburger and a good place to sit.

Saw the line and decided to give BurgerFi a try. Service was excellent and my burger came quickly! Freshly made, organic meat, double patty, melted cheese and onion, tomato and latticed dressed this glistening burger. Great bun, held everything and didn't disintegrate! One bite in and I could taste freshness. Not overly salted which I love, but not a whole lot of flavor. The sauce in the burger didn't add much at all. I will definitely order again because of the quality, quickness and customer service but maybe add a little something to lift the burger so it dances on the taste buds!!

Filthy, disgusting, and overpriced. Food is also very bland and not flling. Choose somewhere else to go.

    'Bacon' double cheeseburger

Raleigh Durham Airport needs to do a lot better. While recently traveling I had to eat at BurgerFi because there were basically no other options open. I used to enjoy BurgerFi at the Arboretum occasionally, but this experience was thoroughly disappointing. I ordered a lettuce wrap, bacon double cheeseburger. There was no bacon, the lettuce was soggy ( had to pay about two dollars extra for it), and the worst part.... The actual burger. If it's in your name, I should hope you would do it well. These patties were rubbery and filled with ground up gristle. If I wasn't starving andLettuce Wrap Burgers about to jump on a flight, I don't think I would've been able to eat it.

There Jim Rivers has been setting up his steel hot dog stand for nearly 14 years now, and is there almost everyday beginning at 11:30 - he misses some days because he also sets up at the North Carolina State Fair each year. He steams his weiners - Red Hots (neon red Southern weiner)for $1,50, Nathans All Beef for $2.00, Jalapeno (with the pepper already in the weiner) for $2.50, and a Sausage dog, also for $2.50. His toppings(whatever you want at no additional charge) include mustard, ketchup (ugh!), chili, onions, slaw, mayo (double ugh!), cheese, sauerraut, red onion (foo foo), and relish (we get visitors from the far north). The Red Hot is your basic Southern Chili dog with a weiner of questionable parentage, chile, onions and/or slaw, on a nice, soft bun. This is a very good hot dog. The chili is not home made since the All Knowing, All Seeing Wake County government has decided that only brick and mortar restaurants can prepare such items in their duly and regularly inspected kitchens - this apparently is true even if the rating is not particularly good. Jim uses Patterson's Grand Slam All Beef Chili, which is available in 5 pound tubs or #10 cans. This is very good commercially prepared chili, right up there with Matinee brand used by Allen & Son in Chapel Hill. The Nathan's All Beef hot dog with chili, mustard, and Jim's slaw is an outstanding slaw dog - one of the best I've tried, and I've tried more than a few. The quality of the weiner reals comes thru, and is very well showcased by the soft bun, tasty chili, and not too sweet mayo based slaw. On my next visit, I'll try the Jalapeno dog and the Sausage dog instead of the All Beef - well, probably in addition too it. Jim is friendly and personable, the service is quick, the pricing reasonable - there is no seating available, but sitting in an airconditioned auto munching several dogs ain't at all bad.

There are options for turkey or pork for those that want them, but it is hard to beat a Nathan's hot dog. Especially when the rest of the package is well done. Soft bun that holds up well (would be even nicer if grilled with butter), meaty chili that isn't runny, cole slaw that isn't heavy on mayo or runny, and the aforementioned quality dog. Onion rings are excellent as well, and you can't argue with the price. Customer service was super friendly and fast, A+ If you're looking for a new restaurant, this ain't it. It's a hot dog joint in the simplest terms. The restaurant inside and out is old, very old. The area where you eat and they cook appears clean enough, and the health score is an A. The bathrooms, are in a word, dingy. Old stained fixtures, surfaces, etc. I wouldn't recommend it, and would definitely recommend a cheap reno in there. That said, can't argue with the most important thing, the hot dogs! Keep doing your thing Jimmy's.

I want you to understand that this used to be a waffle house and it's been transformed into a hotdog eatery. They serve other things like catfish and fried chicken hamburgers. But when a place call itself Jimmy's famous hotdog, I gotta eat the hotdog. I came in. I was greeted by the lady behind the counter. She takes your order, the menu board is on a couple of flat panel TVs, very easy to read. It's obvious that this was once upon a time, a waffle house or a huddle house. The parking lot is kind of shabby the building is a little diver, but I think it fits the area. The new waffle house is up the street near a gas station. This area is near a business park, so it's not exactly a residential or commercial area. On the other side of the interstate, you've got all the usual suspects and plenty of good places to eat. The hotdog, are excellent, and you have a choice. You can have a beef dog, that's what I opted for. You can have the pork and chicken dog, which I avoid. Not that I have anything against pork or chicken. I do like a beef hotdog more. The buns are soft and fluffy. They've been steamed, the hot dog is grilled it taste good. it has mustard, onions, chili, and slaw. I had two of them with some nice crinkle cut fries and a large soda. It was very good and about 10 bucks. I think it was outstanding. I would go again, and now that I have tried them, I certainly will. Next time. I'm in the area.

We tried both sushi rolls and corn dogs in our 3 experiences as a customer at Mat Jib before: 2 for corndogs, 1 for sushi. The sushis are nothing special here; a bit overpriced for their mediocre quality. However, we'd return to Mat Jib for its Korean corndogs. There are 4 kinds of corndogs you can choose from: 1. Potato + Hotdog (no cheese) - $8 2. Half Half (Half mozarella/ half hotdog - $7 3. Only Mozarella - $7 4. Only Hotdog - $6 As you can see, no matter what we choose, there seems to be something lacking depending on your choice. What if I want a full hotdog with cheese with my corndog? "Oh sorry, you can't have that!" What if I also want cheese if I choose the potato + hotdog option? "Oh sorry, that's not one of the choices either!" If you're going to sell a corndog for $7+, why not fill it up more? In our latest visit, we got 1 Half Half corndog to share. I was standing in front of the Mat Jib concession, waiting behind what I thought was a short line. But it turned out that those people were just waiting for their order and the employee standing in front just looked at me without saying a word. I went closer to the cashier, and ordered that Half Half corndog. She asked if I wanted ketchup and mustard placed on top of the corndog or on the side. I said on top. The service in Mat Jib was kind of slow. There were only about 2 to 3 customers waiting before me, and it took about 15 minutes for our corndog to be ready. We got the spicy popcorn chicken from Love Bao 5 minutes earlier than 1 corndog. Ridiculous! Mat Jib shares dining spaces with other food concessions here in H-Mart, so there's nothing special about its ambiance. It can get super crowded here on weekends, so it might be better to just take out a corndog or 2 than wait for vacancy. We didn't have issues finding a couple of seats on a Wednesday evening, however. We enjoyed the mozarella cheesiness of the corndog and how the breading is tasty with the mustard & ketchup. One thing that annoyed us was how the hotdog inside was little since it's half; it was more like a Vienna sausage. Nonetheless, it was the most delicious corndog we've devoured together, a more satisfying choice than Mat Jib's sushi rolls and most of what you can get from other food concessions in H-Mart - Cary. | Overall Score: 3.3/5

I ordered a combo plate of chicken pastry and bbq pork, with sides of fried okra and potato salad. Everything was served piping hot, just as it should be. The Chicken Pastry (chicken and dumplings) had wonderful flavor and was comfort food at its finest with thick and wide chewy noodle dumplings. So often chicken and dumpling dishes can be overly salty but Ole Time Barbecue's was perfectly seasoned. The barbecue pork also had great flavor and also was seasoned perfectly, though unfortunately I can't do even the most mild of spicy, so even tho there were only a few red pepper flakes, they made it a little bit challenging for me to eat. The fried okra was cooked and seasoned perfectly and not at all oily and the potato salad was also really tasty. I also tasted their coleslaw and mac and cheese from Hubs dinner and both were delicious as well. Also loved their sweet tea, I got it 25% sweet . The biggest surprise was the large basket of tasty hush puppies brought to our table the minute we sat down, and refilled. Also delicious and seasoned perfectly. The location is very homey and diner like, with just a handful of tables so you may have to wait, though luckily we didn't. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was they served their sides in styrofoam containers versus reusable dishes like they use for their main courses. I do love that they're using reusable dishes for their mains so it seems like they could also do this for their sides. Less trash for the restaurant and better for the world... .
