Pretty good smash burgers. Their portion sizes are more than I expected. I would definitely recommend for a casual night out!

Great food friendly staff. Quick order turn out too. The smash burgers were great and the chili cheese fries were legit.

Both service and food are excellent. One of the best burger diners I've ever experienced. Another reason to avoid fast food franchises!

The staff is super friendly from the moment I stepped inside the door till the second I left. I was yearning for a burger, so I got the Phoenix and it tasted really good. The only issue was that it was cooked well done and I asked for medium. Not a huge deal. Also, got the Phoenix wings, which were nice and spicy. The only real negative thing I have is the tables were really close together and were very cafeteria style. The guy next to us kept snorting snot and swallowing so that was our cue to leave. If the tables were farther apart, I may not have heard him. Overall great experience and I'll be back to try more deliciousness!

Inside was clean. HOWEVER the female owner was very hostile. We asked for a drink menu and was given two by two different staff members. None of the two staff members stated the prices were not accurate in the menu. Some people at the table ordered margaritas based off the price in the menu. The shock that was had when one of the tabs was an additional 48$ for 4 drinks when the menu stated they were 5.50 each for a regular or 7.50 for a large. When it was brought to the manager's attention, she went to the owner. The owner was very hostile and slapping her hands together borderline yelling at the table then walked away. She acted like a high school girl with an attitude.

I had the veggie plate with butter beans (they were a bit sweet and limas, not true butter beans), fried squash (the slice it long ways and hand batter), spinach mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs (delicious, no notes). I tried both hush puppies and a roll. Personally, the hush puppies weren't my favorite, but the roll was buttery goodness:). Most importantly, I asked our server at the beginning if they still had chocolate cobbler and if they were running low to go ahead and bring it out. At first they had plenty, but a few minutes later cobbler was in front of me because she noticed it was running low. So dessert first! Don't mind if I do:) it was warm, gooey, and delicious. Others in my group had the chicken fried steak, and chicken tenders. Everyone was very happy with their meals! Service was great, though the kitchen was a little slow. It took about 30 mins to get our meals. Fun, old timey atmosphere - great service - and delicious home cooking. Will definitely be back.

As soon as you're seated, you'll have a tempting signboard presented at your table with every southern classic you can imagine. With entrees like fried chicken and catfish, endless sides like turnip greens, white beans, and just about anything you can imagine fried, and every kind of southern pie, it's all there. The catfish is magnificent, with that wonderfully gritty cornmeal batter surrounding flaky, tender fish. The complimentary roll is also delicious! And the servers are very nice here! But there are some downsides. The fried okra, my favorite southern side dish, is actually soft and soggy. No self respecting southerner would ever make soggy fried okra. It's about the worst I ever had. And the onion rings, which are hard to mess up, were burnt black and lacked flavor. They were inedible. The cashier is rude and doesn't have time for "thank you" or small talk or a smile or even giving you your receipt when nobody else is in line to pay their bill. That's just how it is. If you want good catfish, Sling Shot Charlie's will come through. But if you want a southern culinary experience that's enjoyable, there are much better places to have it!

We are talking generational feuds over lets face it fast food. In and Out vs. Whataburger? It is not even close and at best this was Meh.... Newish location in TN, that was agreeable close to the freeway as I was in a moving truck. Lots of parking. The employees were on point and the place and its bathrooms were clean. That alone kept this from being one star The food on the other hand was simply not up snuff and a better comparison would be McDonald's or the King. Bacon and Cheese Whataburger: Oy vey where to start. The bun was at best there to just provide carbs. It had an odd texture and fell apart pretty quick. The bacon was okay and the patty was at best average. The tomato and lettuce were okay, but the pickles were at best mushy Onion Rings: They were fried okay but the onions appeared to be the same kind of mush burger king puts forth Spicy Ketchup was good, but the pepper sauce was at best bland. So what exactly am I missing here? This place fell well short of the hype and based on my experience its JAFB or just another fast food burger. What we ordered: Sweet tea: Being in the South, I always judge a place by its sweet tea. This is the molasses-style sweet tea--very sweet--so I'd recommend cutting it with unsweetened tea. Breakfast egg rolls: Delicious overall. The filling could've used a little more salt or seasoning, but the gravy was absolute perfection. Chicken & waffles: Fluffy waffles that leaned slightly sweet, but paired really well with the flavorful, well-fried chicken and maple syrup. I recommend asking for the syrup on the side. The portion is large enough to share. Buffalo chicken sliders: The clear winner of the day! The buffalo sauce was perfect, the buns were soft and fluffy, the chicken was crispy, and the shoestring fries were cooked just right. Caesar salad: Decent, but the real star was the blackened shrimp. The seasoning was excellent, and I'd definitely try something blackened again! Overall: Very good food, friendly and fast service, and a cute environment. I'd absolutely come back for dinner and would recommend it to anyone.
