It's always a good time when I stop by. It's fast, affordable and what I expect for how much I paid :)

If you like 15 minute waits for a combo when you're the only one in line and they make you pull around, this is your place !

What a cool spot! Great environment. Great food. Great service. Needless to say, Crusade Burger Bar…read moreis a must visit in Yorkville! We came on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy so if you can make reservations that could save you some time. If you end up waiting, there is a cool game room with pinball, pac mac, and other games which is pretty neat! It was too cold when we went but there also looks to be a nice patio out back for when the weather warms up. Parking can be tough though FYI! Our waitress was Candy and she was excellent! She provided great recommendations and was on top of taking our order, drink refills, and checking up without it feeling pushy or rushed. We started with cheese curds which were crisp and fluffy. For my meal I tried the brisket mac and cheese which hit the spot. The portion was generous and it came with the perfect ratio of mac and cheese to brisket. The side of garlic toast was also crispy and was perfect for wiping up all the extra cheese sauce. We didn't partake in any of the epic milkshakes this time but we did get a regular cookies and cream shake which was the perfect way to round out the meal.

Came in around 5:30 PM and grabbed a patio table, we were seated within 10 minutes, no issue…read more The place was maybe a third full, surprisingly quiet for a Saturday evening. That's where things started to slip. Drinks took about 15 minutes. Apps? Another 20. Then we ordered our mains: a "You're the one for me, Fatty!" burger and a cheesesteak. Those took over an hour... To their credit, the food itself was solid. Burger looked like the photos, tasted great. Fries were crispy and well-seasoned. No complaints there. But the wait? Completely unreasonable--especially with no explanation or apology. Everyone on the patio seemed stuck in the same delay, then suddenly food started coming out in waves like a switch flipped. Felt like a kitchen issue, but no communication from staff made it worse. We finished up and ordered a milkshake to share. It came out fast--almost too fast. The cake on top was stale and rock hard, basically inedible, and the shake tasted like plain vanilla instead of Biscoff. For $16, that's just not acceptable. Our server did comp the shake and gave us a voucher for a future visit, which I appreciate, but it doesn't undo the experience. Overall, this trip was very disappointing, especially for my girlfriend's first visit. I've been coming here for years, so it's frustrating to see the drop-off. Hoping this was just an off night, but this one missed the mark.

It may seem like a local hangout with lots of drinks and basic food. Rowdy's is one of a few bars in this part of town. For sure it's nothing fancy of course. They're known for big ass burgers, and fries covered in stuff. Bar has a couple entrances, only one of which we were able to enter. It's got the rear one, which takes you through the gaming area before the main part. The front entrance was for some reason locked, even though the bar was open at that time. Anyway, they have about what's expected. It's about $7 for a basic cocktail, like with whiskey. Food is a pretty meaty thing with the burgers. They have shit tons of these. It's about $10 for their fries, which come loaded with toppings in baskets. We got a basket of the Sriracha Fries, which are topped with garlic Parmesan which we left off, along with hoisin sauce, jalapeños, onions, red pepper, and sriracha. Filling. These were enough to make a meal to be honest. Got to say it was better than expected. It's located on Bridge Street, amongst the older buildings around here. Those wanting meaty things can get burgers, while those not can get fries or whatever.

There were two waitresses in our area and it was clear ours was not as serious about their job as the other. We waited long enough after being seated to start to wonder id we had been forgotten. Two other tables (seated after us by the other waitress) had been seated and got drinks before our someone came to our table. When I did get my water it had plastic wrap in it. The other waitress took it from us to get a new one. No sorry, nothing. Acted like nothing happened. Our waitress delivered the new one 10 solid minutes later. It was Not super busy at this time. Why so long? And again no acknowledgement of the plastic.. couldnt get myself to drink anything else with worry of contamination of the ice box. Order the california chicken sandwich and brussel sprouts. My mother had the smash burger. She seemed to enjoy it though both sandwiches were stacked super tall and mine had two huge thick red o ions on it. A bit overpowering but mine was good after that was removed. Brussel sprouts were significantly salty. Wasnt able to get through them. My mom got the fries and tho were standard. She also got a bloody mary. It was alright she seemed to enjoy it. Waitress was a little sarcastic with us for no reason and the plastic and just overall service was unfortunate. It was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth and I dont plan to return.

We got three appetizers. Steak bites Ruben sliders and seafood ceviche. The steak bites were under seasoned. They were begging for some salt and pepper. The blue cheese on them was perfectly melted and they were done to perfection. They were supposed to have a red wine sauce. It tasted like brown gravy from a packet. Not the worst but no red wine flavor. The Reuben sliders that were most likely made with St Patrick's Day leftovers were delicious !!! The corned beef was thick and trimmed to perfection (no fatty bits). We would get these again. The seafood ceviche was described as being prepared with lime juice and pico de gallo and served with chips and crackers. It came with no crackers (not that big of a deal) but the seafood and pico were in some kind of tomato broth stuff. (Like a Clamato juice). I was not a fan but the husband thought it was fine.
