Sat at the bar for something different. We were enthusiastically greeted and sat right away, menu's and water immediately. All the staff had smiles on their faces, and typical in a small town knew a lot of people's names as they walked in. Plenty of takeaway while we were there, so you know the food is good, and comes out hot. Our orders were taken (traditional brekkie) and our orders came out quite quickly in spite of how busy they were. The potatoes were a little plain for me, but I peppered as I usually do, and even added a bit of salt which I never do. The portions were a good size, the price was more than fair, and the service was great. We'll be back next time we are in the area and we'll give the lunch a go!

It feels like a family business that has been around. We ordered seafood pasta, fried oysters burger, a bucket of mussels, a captain's platter. The portions were super big. I was glad we ordered only 5 dishes and it was more than enough for the 6 of us. I found about 7 unopened mussels from the bucket and I told the server about it. She acknowledged it and went back to the kitchen. They came back with almost another full bucket for us. I told them I wasn't expecting this and it was more than we asked for. They wanted us to have more, It shows that they care and are honest people. The food was great. My husband raved about the pasta and the giant scallops in it. My son loved the fried shrimp and lung cod in his platter, the batter was light and you can taste good quality fish. It was overall a very good experience and much more than what we expected!

I ordered the seafood sandwich and I loved it but what honestly I loved most was the humble house side salad which said it all-the carrots were clearly graded fresh and the lettuce and cabbage and cucumbers and tomatoes were all delicious. When you can take a simple side salad and make it so startlingly fresh and lovely it tells you everything you need to know about a place.

The fish portion was small, there was a generous amount of tartar sauce, and the coleslaw was a good portion. Fries were nice and crispy and visibly salted. The fish is clearly made there because you can see the dill in the batter. Love the spray bottle dispenser for the malt vinegar. They are using mostly compostable packing, but would like to see more sustainable containers for the coleslaw and tartar sauce instead of single use plastic. Price is medium to expensive. Mostly a take out place, but there is a small area to eat inside with four tables that is very basic - this is a bit of a missed opportunity to decorate and add to the vibes of the place.

Not the most healthy though. I had the tofu and peanut bowl, which was not what I expected at all. I thought it would be a kind of salad type bowl. Instead, It was more of a soggy stir fry with an overall sweet sauce, served with rice and a few pieces of nan bread. The tofu was deep fried. Not a good dish. Overall the menu was very large with many choices. Most dishes seemed a fusion of several cuisines, not all of them made sense.

Wendy's isn't at the top of my list of favourite fast food joints, but it's not at the bottom,…read moreeither. I will often go there for the salads. Wendy's was the first fast-food place I ever saw offering salads, and now they're the last, because McDonald's and Burger King have stopped offering salads, and I'm not sure that A&W ever did. This location is apparently brand new, and, in line with Wendy's current style in architecture, it's targeted more at selling through the drive through window, although it does at least still have a dining room, although much smaller than the older Wendy's designs. And even though it probably wasn't actually made out of shipping containers, it seems like it's about the right dimensions for that. It also has one of those self-serve drink machines where you can choose a pop, and then choose extras to mix into it. The upside for the customer is a lot more choice in drinks. The downside for the staff is probably having to wrestle a lot more syrup canisters.
