The outside decor takes you back to simpler times. The inside is small and quaint. I like the idea of ordering at the window and then finding a seat. Glad we came after the lunch rush since seating is limited. I ordered a philly cheesesteak on sourdough versus a bun and shared onion rings with my husband. For our son I ordered the $10.99 burger special. Given the price of everything going up, I was not surprised to spend $45 for 3 of us for lunch, however the amount of up charges for simple things like pickles and swapping a bun for sourdough were off putting to me as a first time diner. Now the food was high quality and delicious-so you get what you pay for. I also liked that this establishment served Coke products. Another plus! All in all a great experience.

I used to love it there about 4/5 years ago and it's been on a downward spiral ever since. I would also like to mention that the only reason their score is so high is because they get tipped off when the health department is coming and do nothing but close early and clean for two weeks.

They stated they weren't making more. There was absolutely no fountain soda and they said there was none in the back to refill. There were no lids on the Tea canisters and flies were flying around. Their sanitation score wasn't posted anywhere in the store visible. And the employees acted as if all this was normal and were very apathetic. I'm definitely not a Karen and not one to complain, but I will never come back to this location. I love Subway, in general, but the Pageland SC location is definitely a third world country experience!!!

McDonald's (Price Increases & Value)…read more McDonald's Prices have gotten way out of hand. Paying about $5 for a plain chocolate shake is ridiculous for fast food. Meals are getting close to $10-$15, but the quality and portions haven't improved at all. At the end of the day, fast food used to be about quick and affordable. Now it's quick... but definitely not affordable. Overall: * Taste: still the same * Value: getting worse * Pricing: way too high for what you get I don't mind paying more if quality improves--but right now, it just feels like you're paying more for the same thing.

However there wasn't so we were able to walk right on in. There were some folks inside as well, and tables for us to sit. It's similar to most BBQ places where you order your meats by the pound. We had brisket, ribs and pulled pork. The ribs were so tender they fell off the bone. Literally just pulled the bone out. The flavors were outstanding. There was bbq sauce but truly wasn't needed, more just to enhance the flavors. The brisket was moist and tender. Seasoned to perfection. It as well needed nothing more. The pork was really good. Tender and juicy. We had a few sides but the most amazing one was the watermelon salad. With the mint, lime, cojita cheese, cucumbers, and red onions it was mind blowing. The way everything in the salad blended so well together was perfection. The Mac and cheese were just as top tier. The way the cheese pulled, the kick it had you could tell this was recipe that has been used for years. There was a bite to it and it was perfect. We also had the Mexican street corn that burst with so many flavors. And lastly we tried the hash brown casserole. It was definitely different but equally as delicious. The service was quick. The ladies that assisted us with our sides were the most friendliest. They encouraged us on the selection of sides, and shared their favorites with us. Overall one of the best BBQ I've had, definitely the best BBQ in NC.

We arrived at 9:45 on a chilly, drizzly day and there were probably 50 people in line ahead of us. There was a friendly staff member monitoring and organizing the line and she told us we were there on a 'slow' day because of the weather. After the restaurant opened at 11, we waited in line for probably another 45 minutes until we got inside to order. The brisket was great, but the best things we had were the kolaches (stuffed breakfast rolls available before they open), Cheerwine hot link sausage, and fruit crisp. The Cheerwine sausage was the biggest surprise. It had a great flavor and wasn't sweet - I've never had anything like it before. When we get a chance to go back, we'll probably skip the pulled pork and mac & cheese. They were fine but there's a lot to try and these weren't anything special.
