The neon sign says they're open. So does the website. Only trouble? They're not. I stopped in at 6AM and all the doors are locked. You'd think someone would have the courtesy to turn off the "open" sign and possibly write "closed" on a piece of cardboard, but I guess I expect too much. Leave the parking lot and make a right turn. About 2 miles down the road, on the left side next to Tractor Supply, is a Dunkin' Donuts. They open at 5 AM, the ladies are very nice and they'll be more than happy to make you a fine breakfast. read more

My Dad, Sister and I stopped at the Waffle House in Wadesboro North Carolina yesterday on our way to Myrtle Beach. I ordered the biscuit and gravy which were good. I always put salt and pepper on them. Yummy. My Dad ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, toast and it came with grits. My Dad doesn't like grits but I ate them...Yum with butter, salt and pepper. My Sister ordered a waffle. I ate some of her waffle, it was good. The coffee is strong which I like. We had a good experience at the Waffle. The waitresses were nice and friendly with their Southern charm. read more

I'm not a huge chain breakfast restaurant type of chick. I like little places with cool vibes and a mimosa bar. I went here because well we were in nowheresville NC But I will have to say the food wasn't bad. A bit greasy but I mean I did order the patty melt so to be expected but it was good and I love there smothered hash browns a must try if you're a hash brown lover like myself. What I really loved the most was we sat at the breakfast bar and the cook was pretty talented I must say he was quick and seemed like he had it all under control. Let me preface by saying that I don't expect exemplary service from "fast food" type dine-in restaurants. There really isn't too much to do - the food comes out so fast, you don't really need to check in on your customers. However, this experience was below par for sure. The waitress handed us (two of us) one menu and asked if we needed time before ordering. Well, yes, since we literally just sat down. Our waitress came back and wrote down our orders (after hollering to another employee to ask what over hard meant) and dropped off our drinks and she relayed our orders to the cook on the line. Food was prepared quickly and brought out, but both my mom and my self were missing items that didn't come for another five or so minutes. We had to ask for knives. We had to ask for syrup. My mother had ordered double hash browns and when our plates were brought out, the larger portion ended up on my plate. My mom mentioned it to our waitress and her response was "oh yeah she (the cook) messed that up" and just kind of stared at us. My mom asked for an extra plate so we could switch the portions and the waitress just grabbed one of our side plates of bacon and proceeded to pour the bacon on my moms plate and said "you can just put them on this". A few minutes later she dropped off our check without saying a word. A few more minutes go by and she comes back and, I kid you not, says "are y'all ready to pay because my ride is outside and I'm trying to leave". The manager was nice and welcomed us as we entered and thanked us as we left. Our waitress did not. She just sat at the countertop waiting for us to leave so she could go home. read more

Went for lunch and waited for 15 minutes in an almost empty restaurant. Apparently they don't serve white people. We didn't know this was condoned by their corporate office until filing a complaint. They should put up a sign that says no whites if they aren't going to serve us. read more

Well can I say the service was lacking . Had to ask for new silverware as the silverware itself was dirty. Even though this business stated a mask mandatory sign on the door. The server wasn't wearing a mask . Even while coming up to my family that was . The drinks were refilled in the same cup meaning contact from person to person from machine.we had to get up to get the refills as the server was relaxing on the side . I would tell you the servers name but I can't because she wasn't wearing a name tag! Being restaurant management this place well it lets me know why I can't go out to eat again during a pandemic! Went to Waffle House today with my wife and mother in law. The place had a decent crowd but most already had their food and were just sitting around talking. The server took our drink orders right away and then walked away. Maybe 20 minutes later he told us our food would just be a minute. I told him that he had not taken our order yet, he apologized and went to get his pad. Maybe 5 minutes after taking our order he brought our breakfast meats (2 bacon and 1 sausage) to our table. 30 minutes later he brought 3 meals, but they were all wrong. He took them back and we sat for another 30 minutes before he brought us 3 more wrong meals. These he left on the table and walked away. Being hungry we ate what we had been given but never got our correct meals. We never got refills and I had to ask after sitting for awhile for our check. By then the place was pretty well empty and we had been there for over 2 hours. I know Waffle House is hit or miss, they either have a very good staff or they are terrible. This time they were terrible. I would have gone some place else, but this is a small town in the middle of nowhere and we have limited options. If you have an option I would recommend you exercise it. read more
