This one I like going to when I do decide to indulge in my very sinful fast food crave. Why? Every time I have ordered, it has been tasty, well put together and the proportionality of the ingredients spot on. So, you don't have a soggy, sticky, greasy, messy burger in a paper bag handed to you. I've tried several McDonald's in my area downtown, but they are outright scary. Too much sauce, greasy bag, 2-day old fries and burnt buns.....Yup. Scary. So, whenever I do crave it and I'm in West Vancouver I'll go here. I mean we all know it's not the best food for you, and you can't even speak of quality when it comes to McDonald's, but actually you can.....in a weird sort of way even McDonald's has varying standards and quality control across different stores managed by varying managements. Came here because an app coupon appeared for a $1 vanilla cone. I ordered in person at the counter and I waited there for about 30 seconds before somebody noticed me and took my order. There are no "interesting" people hanging around inside or outside around the restaurant which is a plus. As a transit user, its in a convenient location actually beside the seabus station entrance. You can't miss it. The ice cream machine isn't "broken" here which is a plus. For the first time ever, my food, an vanilla ice cream cone, was ready before I finished paying with my card at the counter. Usually i have to wait at least 2-3 minutes for my cone after my order at my usual location. I was in and out of McDonalds with my cone within minutes. I didn't use the dining area this time and ate my ice cream outside. As for the food, Mcdonald's vanilla cone is a cheap and a cool refreshing snack on a hot summer day. For just $1 pre-tax, it's worth it.

This changed yesterday when I tried the one in Park Royal. First thing I noticed was how clean the place was and orderly and the service matched the environment. Friendly and efficient. The Burgers were beautifully put together. Not overcooked and not squashed like most Five Guys, and the fries were the highlight. Stunningly cut and served piping hot fresh. All I gotta say is.....
