We hadn't tried this location of Big Ditch yet, so we chose Big Ditch for the evening. Having been to Big Ditch in Buffalo many, many.... many times before, the quality and service were no surprise. Food is good, service is good, beers (although I can't drink them anymore) I'm sure are good. One of the more pleasing parts of the evening is the location this Big Ditch was built into. Historic building in the middle of town; a lot for someone interested in history, architecture and art. The dinning and bar area is spacious. There is a separate downstairs area with a full bar and game room. Like the Buffalo Big Ditch, it is diverse and offers options for someone looking to host an event or party. Solid.

I ordered a BBQ chicken finger burger and it was seriously delicious, perfectly cooked, loaded with flavor, and exactly what you want before a hockey game. The real surprise though was the blueberry beer. Mouth wateringly good. Smooth, refreshing, I went in expecting "oh this might be kinda fruity" and left contemplating whether I should dedicate my life to blueberries. Sooo if you're looking for a lively pre-game spot with excellent food and standout beer, this place is definitely worth checking out.

The food was AMAZING!! $7.95 for the burger and I had a hard time finishing it! Cooked to perfection. Crispy tots on the side. My wife had the lobster roll and loved it, said she'd definitely go back. Service was outstanding! After we ate I went to the window to tell the cook how amazing the food was and he gave us a small sample of a crab salad, which was also delicious! There's a couple tables inside, and picnic benches outside. Not a busy street. But don't let the outside deter you from stopping for a bite! We will be back!

I stopped at AJ's for a quick and inexpensive bite after the gym. I saw they had a pizza burger on special for just $6.99 and that piqued my interest. I debated not getting a roll suspecting it would be one of the super cheap burger buns, but I just ordered it as is; I was very glad I did. It was made fresh to order in about 8 minutes. When it came out, it was presented open faced on a nicely toasted junior kaiser roll with a good amount of tasty pizza sauce, a load of gooey provolone, and cup & char pepperoni atop the burger, which was a decent size. Everything worked well together and it was like a tasty, meaty, easily handheld piece of pizza. The service was friendly. I believe there was indoor seating, but I ordered at the window and sat at a picnic table outside. I would visit again.

Within moments of walking in to the big dining area which gave off a high end feel the hostess had us seated and the waitress had the drinks coming in record time. By the time she came back we were ready to order. We asked for the kids finger meal, Well our waitress Maggie clearly knew what it's like to dine with kids, our little helpers food came first and in record time. Super crispy chicken and fries which were reviewed as "super awesome ". I got a cup of French onion soup, it had a good layer of cheese and was full of onions, even on a 80 degree day that soup satisfied. The misses got the chicken bacon ranch pizza, which came out with a seriously generous covering of chicken and bacon and a nice perfectly cooked cheese/dough. Fantastic flavor and very well made. The garlic parm wings were great, came out extra crispy and saucy....this was definitely a house made sauce, it was well made and worthy of a French fry sopping. I was pleasantly surprised they were also quite meaty. I'm also a bleu cheese fan, theirs was chunky and had a familiar tang to it. I'm a huge fan of great service and good food. Lock 34 delivered on both. Even though it's out of the way of our normal area we eagerly are looking forward to a return visit.
