Today I went to purchase three meals and spent $43. Unfortunately, I experienced very poor customer service. I placed my order electronically and ordered iced tea. When I asked about my drink, the employee handling the cups looked at me in an upset manner and simply pointed toward the soda machine, suggesting I find it myself. However, there was no iced tea available in the drink section. I stood near the register waiting for assistance, but none of the employees acknowledged me. When I asked another employee about the iced tea, she responded, "Oh, there's no iced tea, but it should be there," without offering any solution or apology. Since there was no iced tea, I ended up getting a Sprite instead. When my food was ready, I asked the employee who bagged my order if they had iced tea available. The employee replied, "No, we don't have it, and I don't know why the machine suggested iced tea." As a customer, I expect better communication and basic courtesy. When something is unavailable, employees should apologize and offer an alternative rather than ignoring customers or responding dismissively. On the mobile app, I saw that they had a BOGO deal for the Original Chicken Sandwich. It was a blast from the past as I had not eaten one of these sandwiches since back in high school. Experiences to any restaurant, even return trips to the same location, will vary over time. On our visit here the servers were friendly and efficient, the food was mostly well prepared, and parking was adequate. We got two original chicken sandwiches, a small fry, and a medium onion ring. The fries and rings were prepared well and the fryer oil seemed fresh. The rolls for the chicken sandwiches could have been tossed a little more, but otherwise they were what you would expect. We were here at about 11:30-12:00 on a Monday. They were not too busy. The ambiance was quiet to average noise level. They have numerous Tesla chargers in their lot all of which were unused on our visit. This might be a good place to charge up if you have enough range to get here. Any fast food on Yelp that is 2-3 stars is not bad, over 3 is rare, and under 2 you should avoid. We would come back to this location if in the area again. read more

We drove our 2017 Honda Civic 420 miles on 10.5 gallons of gas, or 40 mpg, round trip from Sunnyvale to Pismo Beach and back. However when my wife is along, our Civic has a range of 100 miles. We are driving from Pismo Beach when we arrive at King City, a 90 minute drive, in my wife's case 2 hours, since she drives the speed limit, unlike everyone else going 10 or 15 mph over the speed limit. Next stop is Salinas, another hour away. Wife has to make a pit stop every 2 hours, or 2.5 hours at most. What do you expect of a 66 year old coffee drinking lady? And right on the side of the road is Burger King of King City. The wife makes a bee line for the bathroom. BK has a "mix and match 2 for $6" value, with 1 of those 2 items a chicken sandwich. However we are here to try the Burger King's meatless "Impossible Burger", which runs $6.59, compared to $6.19 for a whopper alone. Service is excellent, and our "Impossible Burger" arrives within 6 minutes. Now that's service! The "Impossible burger" has the same price, the same texture, appearance, color, 80% of the calories, and 70% of the fat as a beef whopper. But the flavor tastes like tofu, or a soybean burger held together with potato starch. All the flavor comes from the tomato, lettuce, and especially the mayo, raw sliced onions, and pickle. Men's bathroom floor strewn with toilet paper, paper hand towels and paper toilet seat covers, along with the usual puddles next to the urinals. Found bathrooms worse than mine.
