This McDonald's is a very convenient stopping point Midway between San Francisco and San Luis Obispo, California. They've redone the bathrooms and they're clean and spacious and working. The place was decorated for Christmas with a tree and a cute Grinch poster! Our order came out within about five minutes; a happy meal and two chicken sandwich sandwiches This McDonald's functions as a local McDonald's as well as a highway stop so I guess the only criticism is that it gets very busy sometimes when tourist buses are here. You have to keep your eye out for whether or not they are huge tourist buses in the parking lot if you want fast service! Other than that, it's your dependable, reliable predictable McDonald's food! Twice now that I asked for extra salt on my fries, because I don't taste any salt at all. I even asked the worker why don't I have extra salt on my fries. She said it's because she doesn't like a lot of salt on her fries and it could be that their in a hurry and she simulated rapid hand shaking and said next time just ask for extra salt packets. Probably the worst McDonalds I've been to. The cleanliness is not the best, they have taken out the soda fountains so you have to approach the counter for a refill which takes a while because they have blocked off the counter and require you to use the computer kiosks which takes you several minutes to order what one person wants let alone the time it takes for a family of four. If you are paying cash, you then have to go to the counter where nobody is and pay taking even longer. The employees are apathetic and got our order wrong taking more time to correct. read more

Don't do curbside here. This place is too busy filling drive thru orders to get someone outside. Items are also frequently missing, so you need to be able to check. They missed two water bottle orders last time and we had to stop elsewhere. read more

I never expect much McDonald's, but this one is probably the worst I have ever been to. When you enter the left side of the restaurant smells like the bathrooms. We ordered two 4 piece crispies and a medium fry. Everything was cold. They remade the order and this time the fries were only 1/2 full. When I showed it to the guy he said sorry I'll get you a new one. Then a lady in the back said don't give him a new one that's not how I gave it to him. She handed me the bag I looked in side of it literally not moving at all. Luckily the guy saw me never leave and said don't worry about her and he got me a full order of fries. This isn't the first issue I've had at this location, just the first time I've left a review. I only pass through king city about 4 times a year, but will NEVER stop at this McDonalds again and I recommend you skip it as well. read more

We've always stopped at this location for 30+ years.. today, one of our cars was having trouble from this location when we were about to leave, so we had to get it towed. The management was super nice and kind enough to hold on to the keys until the tow company would arrive. Kudos to Stephanie!! read more

I got there at 7:12 am just before a bus drove up. I placed my order. 5 minutes later, two buses full of people came in. Then I waited for an hour while the bus people got served before me. What a HUGE disappointment it was to stop here on a road trip for breakfast. It has been a year I would say, actually I can't remember the last time I had breakfast at McDonald's. It sounded SO good. A delicious coffee, an egg McMuffin with sausage. The last time I had this it was SO delicious. I had the egg McMuffin with sausage and the sausage looked grayish in color. It was very rubbery not peppery and grilled like all the other times. Also, the size of the McMuffin? I could eat it in 4 regular bites! My daughter had the McGriddle. Also very small. Much much smaller than I can remember! Last but not least the breakfast burrito. There was almost NOTHING in the burrito. It was rolled up and it was a small tortilla that looked as if it was empty and just rolled up! It was ridiculous! I mean there was really NO ingredients inside the burrito. I will not be stopping at McDonald's for breakfast. So disappointed as it has always been a treat on family road trips. read more

Hardly ever go to McD's at home, but we're on the road. Stopped by this one and we're very happy. I only get fillet-of-fish sandwiches and this is the best one I've had. There are pill bugs (colloquially known as roly poly) all over the floor in the lobby. A sign states no video or photos are allowed so I cannot provide proof, but I saw one in the bathroom and figured it happens. It's no big deal. Then I saw several more in the lobby. I hope whoever is in charge ensures there is a deep cleaning routine, because this could cause the restaurant to be in serious trouble, thus affecting the employees. I am sure it's not their fault, but hopefully this is resolved quickly. read more

McDonald's makes road trips, either long or short, much easier. This location filled all my needs: clean bathrooms, and any size sodas for $1. What I liked about this location I paid for the cup and then went to a machine to fill it myself. I was able to have a diet soda with a bit of lemonade mixed in the drink. What a treat read more

TYPICALLY, I don't Yelp McDonald's but I think this one was worth mentioning/complaining about. My mother and I drive to King City circa 4 A.M. we decided to hit up McDee's to refuel ourselves- meaning chugging down caffeine. To be frank, the employee in the Drive Thru was horrible. As we were ordering she blurted out the total and told us to pull up while we were still ordering. The first window was closed and we had to wait a good 10 minutes at the second window.
