But it has a corky way of getting here. The employee was somewhat friendly to Texas standards. I had to explain to him afterwards. We got our order correctly. But my burger had an unusual appearance. The bun was folded with the wrapping paper. The burger had no flavor, except for the buttery bun. All the vegetables in the burger tasted fresh. OMG. I had to pour ketchup in my burger. We ordered standard size meals. The fries package looked smaller than the "medium" sized drink. And it was barely filled. Not sure if this was a sign of inflation or depression. I wish I had time to take pictures of the building and the surrounding in relationships to the freeway feeder road. The place became crowded right before we left the restaurant. Oh well. Until next time for the next visitor to Bush International Airport.

It had a mechanical taste. I make lemonade at home and I know what fresh lemonade tastes like. This ain't it. Would I come back? You bet. Because it's close to the Highway 69 and has a clean restroom. I'll be back whenever I am in the area. I won't order what I got today.

Type of cuisine: American diner style options. Ambiance: Plastic everything. The space is yellowed with lighting and very reminiscent of 1980s fast food dining. Sticky booths welcomed us as we took our seats and were offered menus tableside to place our orders Our server even did magic tricks for us! What I ordered: Texas Bacon, Egg & Cheese Melt with Three Slices of Smithfield® Bacon, One Egg and Two Slices of Melted American Cheese served on Texas Toast and a side of Bert's Chili, Texas Sausage, Egg & Cheese Melt - Two Jimmy Dean® Sausage Patties, One Egg and Two Slices of Melted American Cheese served on Texas Toast with a side of Bert's Chili, and a side of hash browns and sauteed vegetables. What I loved: The Texas toast was fun and greasy and just what you'd want for a late-night meal after a day of travel. The veggies and hash browns were tasty and simple, buttery and good. Why I loved it: The magic tricks and friendliness of our server truly made our visit. Cost: Low to Average

I ordered the breakfast meal (eggs, hash browns, toast) and a regular waffle. The food itself was decent! The toast had just the right amount of butter, and the hash browns were good. The waffle was cooked just right. In retrospect, I think I should have gotten a topping for the waffle. Overall, the portion sizes were generous and food was reasonably priced. It was definitely a great value.

When you are feeding 26 people for an office lunch meeting, it is so important that the caterer takes care of bringing everything. The only thing missing from catering is the fries but they might not taste good. We had boxes with sandwiches, wraps and salads, each with a cookie. I also ordered a tray of strips since sometimes people want a little more and a tray of cookies for those who got a salad. We also had tea, lemonade and diet half and half. I am very happy with the catering and will use them again.

I think the first time I knew anything about Checkers was by watching an episode of Undercover Boss. In any case, when you see something on tv become reality, you get sucked in by the temptation to try it out--especially when your co-workers come touting in bags of food from the place. Therefore, as I prepared to return to work from a training, I decided it would be a great day to visit checkers. Around noontime, it wasn't too busy, but the kitchen staff looked like they were in a tezzy! I didn't wait too long to order and the crew member was quite patient to receive my order, which by ordering off the value menu equaled to at least a little over $5. I wasn't expecting the burger to be as big as your head, but my goodness--I had to lift the bread to see the meat, cheese, and bacon on the thing! I've had much better quantity at McDonald's and Wendys-- but for much cheaper! The taste wasn't anything to brag about either. Wasted calories! The fries were decent-they are the seasoned kind with a little pepper for some kick, but a $1.50 for what I would call a kids size amount is not really a value to me. Probably the best part of my meal was the chocolate shake. Not as think as a Wendys frosty, but full of chocolate flavor. Bottom line: I couldn't see myself you g out of my way to get this food. You're just paying for the name of the food. The End.
