On January 21st, 2024, I went in and ordered another 13 piece 'feast'. When the clerk was passing me the two bags, I asked her if the gravy was included. She told me that it was in the bag. When I got home, low and behold, NO gravy. I called the place and informed them what had happened, the second time in a row. All I got was "so sorry". For $62.00 after tax, the product s not that great, let alone have them continually leave part of the order out. Will be so glad when Popeyes opens in the spring. Bye Bye 'Mary Brown'. Anyway, I was in the mood for some fish and chips. Canada isn't Britain, but the Maritimes are pretty close, and I was thrilled to find one that was open. It was a hole in the wall outside of a strip mall, along with kitschy decorations and signs saying parking was for seafood lovers only. I almost ordered some seafood, but I wanted a nice piece of fish, and I got four of them, perfectly cooked, and not at all greasy -- you could eat it with your hands once it cools. Crunchy on the outside, flaky and moist on the inside. Wonderful. Best I've had in a while. Some of the fries were a little soggy, but it was nothing a little pepper and vinegar (white, not malt; is that a regional thing?) couldn't fix. Also, their tartar sauce comes in plastic cups, and annoyingly small ones at that. They could whip up their own in five minutes or less, and save us the trouble of trying to tear off those little foil lids. Despite some minor issues, this was the best fish and chips I've had in a long time. I don't know when (or if) I'll return to Canada, so if not, I'll dream about that fish.

The Irish Hog was delicious, the applewood smoked bacon and a couple of other things that were on that burger... What I didn't like about it though was that the burger was very small and the buns were huge -- so that wasn't the best but everything else was pretty good.
