ATMOSPHERE: Since Chomp Chomp is located in a mall food court, the atmosphere is as expected -- lots of background noises, scents, and activity. In a nutshell, not a relaxing place to gather and dine. CONCEPT: Chomp Chomp is fast food, but offers a curiously diverse list of dishes such as pastrami sandwiches, rice bowls, pork belly bao, and Oklahoma-style burgers. Likewise, Chomp Chomp offers a diverse range of beverages to complement your chosen dish, including mango milkshake, Coke, and creamsicle float. FOOD: So much is offered on the menu, but I've been enamored by the Oklahoma-style burger and have yet to explore the menu. As I understand this century-old regional burger preparation method, beef is smashed on a grill, seasoned, topped with thin slices of onions, which in turn are covered with cheese. Steam from the onions permeates the cheese as it melts. The result is a super moist burger in which flavors of each component are married, rather than contrasted. SERVICE: Each time I've visited the person working the counter was enthusiastic about the new business and eager to offer guidance. TIP: For a few dollars more you can get fries and a drink. For a single burger this ends up being around cost of McDonald's ($12), but the quality, service, and flavor is far better at Chomp Chomp. The Oklahoma burger is available as single or double. I found that the flavor was more pronounced in the double version. Toppings are customizable. For example, you can add lettuce and tomato on a burger, or add meat or sauces to fries. (That said, I prefer to stick to the original Oklahoma burger version in order to experience the regional burger in its original form.)

I usually have chicken when I visit Chomp Chomp and it's always juicy and hot. They have a Chomp Chomp sauce that I really like, it's especially good with fries. Additionally, the brioche buns they use are very high quality. This is a good alternative if you're tired of the other places in the food court.

This is an extremely popular blue collar spot in Danbury that became really special to me as a undergrad student and has remained an amazing place. The Pao de queijo is amazing with the right balance of chewiness with a nice crust on the outside. Picanha and beef ribs are also outstanding-- the ribs are incredibly rich, tender and flavorful. The beans are also seasoned to perfection. Hot bar is also really nice and overall you can make a really satisfying, personalized meal for yourself at a reasonable cost. I recommend coming before 9 PM because they start running out of stuff and hot bar looks rough at night. Also definitely give the complimentary spicy peppers in oil a try-- super spicy but delicious.

Along with the beast style unseasoned fries. The smashed style of the burger was very good. They also offer three additional burger styles. I would for sure give other styles on try too.

And was actually surprised it's located inside the ice arena. My son ordered the Chris style burger with a soft bun (brioche in culinary terms) that came with two "smashed" beef patties (think thin and flat), American cheese, bacon and crinkle fries. And an order of seasoned beast style fries (hello toppings) that were topped with caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles mayo, ketchup and mustard, no drink came with what he ordered. He said it had flavor and liked the softness of the bun. He devoured everything in no time. The reason I gave it a 4 star rating is the price. I spent $20.30 to be exact on 2 items. A bit pricey if you ask me. But hey then again what do I know about beef prices now a days. It's the hype, brand and fad that I basically invested into. I looked up who MrBeast was and wasn't surprised it was another YouTuber just trying to make his millions in this social media era. Smart man. The packaging was catchy as it's colorful and funky. But that's about it folks. They didn't even give out ketchup or mayo packets. I like those much hehe.

I made the tactical error of visiting Rosy Tomorrow's for a work meeting…read more Not because the meeting was bad, but because this place clearly deserves a version of me who is off the clock, has nowhere else to be, and is prepared to make several questionable menu decisions. The atmosphere is fantastic. The people, energy, truly one of a kind décor, and wonderfully unconventional menu all make the experience feel like much more than lunch. The staff was amazing, the food was very good, and the portions were generous. One wrap at our table looked like it may have missed a growth spurt, but everything else arrived ready to feed actual adults. One important logistical note: If you are especially well hydrated, choose your seat strategically. The restroom is on the bottom floor, and getting there may qualify as the day's cardio. I left with two strong conclusions: First, I really like this place. Second, conducting a work meeting here was like going to an amusement park to discuss spreadsheets. I cannot wait to return in a more appropriately fun frame of mind and work my way through everything I wanted to order but couldn't reasonably explain on an expense report. Consider this the preliminary review. The full investigation will require another visit, several friends, and absolutely no agenda.
